My mum moved to Millbrook Lodge from a care home that closed in Wiltshire. Even though mum was only there for approximately 5 weeks as she sadly passed away at the end of June, I couldn't have wished for a better place for mum to end her journey. Coopers view has the feeling of a small independent home. Staff are very caring and the standard of care is excellent. Any concerns are acted upon straight away. It is very clean, well organised and the food is nutritious and freshly cooked daily. Thank you to everyone you should be really proud of yourselves as it is not an easy job. Robin runs a tight ship right from front of house, behind the scenes and in the home. It was a pleasure to have met you all. Kind regards Lanie

Mum was taken to Millbrook Lodge (ML) after a short return to home following a hospital spell with very serious pneumonia approx 14 mths ago. It was no longer safe for her to be at home alone. It was an extremely tough family decision but was made easier by the management & staff. From the start mum was welcomed and enjoyed the banter & chat with all the staff. She's well cared for, fed, watered & most importantly is safe in her new environment. She's treated with care & respect. Still manages to enjoy some activities she did at home, has her hair done weekly, attends the social events as much or as little as she wants. Whilst her health has deteriorated(all related to age not care) we are grateful that mum is in ML & this gives all the family peace of mind. The whole situation has not been ideal & probably not how we envisaged the twilight years of her life would pan out but we are grateful for the kind, caring & safe environment in which mum now lives

Mum was a resident at Millbrook Lodge for 5 years until she passed away on 15th August 2025. The care she received over that time was amazing and everyone always worked as a team. The passion for caring for the residents shone through in everything that the everyone did. The teamwork and dedication to enriching the lives of everyone at the home are truly inspiring, and also the personal support for us as a family was second to none. We are deeply grateful for the care, love and support you've shown our mum and to us too. Mum thrived and was always happy & content at Millbrook Lodge - thank you for being her second family.

After my father passed away, my stepmother (with mobility issues and dementia) could no longer stay in the family home. She arrived at Millbrook Lodge in July 2023 and remained until her passing in February 2024.
Her care was good and all the staff was friendly and caring. Upon arriving everyone was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
I have no hesitation in saying that her final months were as comfortable as they could be and her care was very good.
Although self-funding, her room I felt was quite small, other rooms were bigger, but given that she was unable to move well, it was on reflection sufficient for her needs. If you are self-funding it is not cheap, but I felt that it was money well spent to care for someone as well as she was.

My thanks to everyone at Millbrook Lodge for everything they did for her. It was very much appreciated.

Care very good, sometimes it seems as if they are short of staff can only have a bath when more staff are on duty.
Meals a good selection. Vegetables sometimes very watery.
Activities very good, sorry it isn't every day.
Being able to go out in the fresh air for 5 minutes would be lovely.

I feel very lucky to be here as it is more like a hotel than a "home." Thank you very much.

We were happy that Mum came to Millbrook Lodge so she was safe and cared for 24 hours a day. Although she didn't actively partake in activities it was often offered to her. All staff on the Leckhampton Unit were kind, caring and patient, even though she could be stubborn and difficult at times. The room was always clean and Mum was helped with hygiene regularly and kept comfortable.
