Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has been going to Monkscroft Care Centre for day care for the past few weeks. She has dementia and she loves it there. She is always involved in the activities, the carers are very good and take care of her very well. The deputy manager has been very helpful. We are sent photos and videos
of my mother enjoying herself. She always eats very well. The care staff already know her well.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Monkscroft Care Centre

Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review, we really appreciate it. It's been great watching your mother get involved with our day care, she's settled in so well and we already consider her part of our Monkscroft family. Overall experience was very positive. I felt well cared for and safe from the beginning. The ethos is very much 'behave as you would at home' with certain safety limits. It is a very open handed and generous.

Langford View

from Tricia G (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been in Langford View for nearly a year. The staff have looked after her really well. Her communication is minimal, but the carers take time with her and anticipate her needs. When going to visit, it is like going into a family, from the staff at reception to carers and domestics. All of them
welcome us. Dad visits daily and is treated like family, everyone knows him, and he is able to have his meals with mum every day. I would highly recommend Langford View for the great care and lovely, homely atmosphere. It has been lovely to see the manager spending quality time with the residents.

I found the St Johns care home very welcoming and your staff were very friendly and helpful. In the last few weeks of my brothers life your staff were exceptional and not only caring to him, but also, myself and my sister whilst we were there,

The Cedars

from Richard F (Son of Resident) published on 12 August 2025

My Mother, was at the Cedars Care Home Purton for just over 2 years. During this time, she thoroughly enjoyed being there. All the staff were friendly and considerate towards her, and she formed a special bond with some of them. There was always something going on, from monkeys, parrots and even small
ponies visiting to keep her interested and stimulated. The staff not only cared for my Mother, but also ensured we were coping as a family. Sadly my Mother passed away in May, just 12 days short of her 104th birthday. During her final few hours, the staff were outstanding with the care and dignity shown not only to her but us as a family during this difficult time. They are an outstanding team at the Cedars Purton for which I am forever grateful.

I find the carers very caring and professional even when dealing with sometimes troublesome residents and the people in charge run the care home very well ,all the staff seem happy in their work .its very clean and the food is good and appetizing. Every one at the cedars is very friendly to relatives

Old Station House

from A R (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2025

My mother has been a resident for over 2 years now. My impression is that the senior staff are highly competent and caring, taking care of each resident very much on an individual basis, and a considerate effort is put into organising activities, which is appreciated. Care staff are generally good,
if sometimes a little stretched. Medical issues are dealt with effectively - there is good oversight of individual requirements. Rooms are single but spacious.

The Cedars

from David P (Husband of Resident) published on 6 August 2025

This home is caring for my wife who is 87 years old and has dementia. She has been resident in the home for approximately 1 year, she has been treated very well by all the care home staff more as a relation they have a enthalpy towards all there residence where nothing is too much trouble.
My wife
has responded very well to there care and attention enjoying and being involved in all the activities from singing along to the 60 music to dancing plus all the other activities the carers involve her in. She likes being at the home and being involved in the activities.
The hygiene and house keeping is very good as is the furniture . My wife looks always well dressed in clean laundered cloths, clean with her clean hair neatly brushed, her room is neat and tidy with the bed always made floors clean. The photograph of the family are displayed on her dressing table.
Her medicines are administered as directed by the doctor instructions, any accident or happening is relayed directly to the family

The staff are kind, professional & caring. The care they provide considers my Dad's wellbeing & address his complex needs whilst including us in deciding the best course of action to assist him. After a medical incident the night team were an amazing support & gave us peace of mind that Dad would be
comfortable & very well looked after. The day team are always friendly & we appreciate the care & attention given to my Dad.

The Meadows

from Karen L (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

It is a scary thing moving a relative into a care home, but I know it is the right decision to be at The Meadows. My father chose it and although he still finds things that aren't right for him, I think the staff have gone out of their way to get to know him, his hobbies, humour and his needs (which
are sometimes quite demanding). Thank you for helping him settle and supporting him so efficiently.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at The Meadows

Thank you for your kind yet honest words about our home and the experience of moving a loved one into a care home. We are so grateful your father chose us and it's been fantastic getting to know him and ensuring we provide the best person-centred care for him. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do him, we'd be happy to assist.
