My father went into Whitefriars in Stamford for respite care with a view to becoming a permanent resident. We found the staff to be very understanding of our feelings and made Dad very welcome and relaxed on arrival. As the weeks progressed, my dad settled in well, and although he suffers from Alzheimers Dementia, his personality became a lot more relaxed and happy. To see him smiling again is wonderful. The staff are all very friendly, and the whole place feels like we are all part of a team of taking care of Dad.

I could not ask for my mum to be in a more caring home. The staff are friendly and kind. Only this week there was a lovely afternoon tea for mothers day. Staff always have time to listen to any of my concerns about mum. Thank you Whitefriars.

My mum is now a resident at Whitefriars and has now, as a family we feel, settled in. The staff from all areas of the home from carers, cooks to management and everyone in between have been very welcoming of mum, and as supportive as they can be to meet all her needs, as well as those of her family. The family Christmas Lunch was lovely, really well thought out and organised. I know mum enjoyed it as did I. Thank you all.

Truly caring and helpful staff which is by far the most important thing in a care home for the elderly. Excellent food, pristine cleanliness. The residents are well taken care of. The rooms are a little on the small side but the facilities really are good value for money. I am very happy that my father is so well cared for.

The staff are kind, professional & caring. The care they provide considers my Dad's wellbeing & address his complex needs whilst including us in deciding the best course of action to assist him. After a medical incident the night team were an amazing support & gave us peace of mind that Dad would be comfortable & very well looked after. The day team are always friendly & we appreciate the care & attention given to my Dad.

My husband was a resident in Whitefriars for 2 years until his death on 26/5/25. The standard of care was always good but the care he received from the majority of the staff caring for him for the last 5 days of his life was truly outstanding. As a nurse with 40 years experience I know that this was exceptional care, he would not have received better care anywhere, even in a hospice. Thank you to all the staff concerned.

Mum moved here from a short stay at another care home following falls in her own home. As soon as she arrived at Whitefriars the increase in the level of care and attention was very noticeable. Her falls risks were immediately identified, her mobility needs properly assessed and real connection made with staff who have all been very friendly and helpful. The rooms are smaller than some other care homes but they are comfortable, light warm and meet all needs.

The care given to my dad is fabulous, he's very happy and feels cared and listened to. He had an unpleasant experience in a previous care house but loves being in Whitefrairs, Stamford. The staff went above and beyond in catering for his 82nd Birthday party with family. The food and cake was so lovely and family very much appreciated it!

My mum was a resident at Whitefriars for 19 months passing away in Oct. 2024 after losing her battle with Parkinson's and dementia. My mum was extremely well cared for when she was a resident and the support received from all the staff in her final days was incredibly heartwarming. A large part of a Whitefriars care plan also focuses on the wellbeing of immediate family. The staff have all been very supportive of my father. Whitefriars is an environment where they look to be innovative in their approach to care, being nominated and winning several awards. One instance is where the End of Life Care Lead is creating a private suite for immediate family that my father and I would have found very useful when we stayed overnight in my Mum's final hours. The suite will hopefully be available to use in the near future and I hope that other families will benefit and find it useful in challenging times.

Whitefriars was the second care home my husband had been in. The first one not a good experience. He was so comfortable and so well looked after, he will certainly be back next time I need a respite break. Thanks to all the staff for the care he received.

Louise Green
Louise GreenJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2017
I began my journey with OSJCT in June 2017 as a Senior Carer at Whitefriars Care Home in Stamford. Over the years, I progressed through various roles, including Care Lead, Dementia Lead, and Deputy Manager. In June 2025, I was honoured to be appointed as the Home Manager at Whitefriars, marking a significant milestone in my career.
I have a deep passion for care, particularly for people living with dementia, as this is something very personal to me. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives is what drives me every day.
I have remained with the Trust because of the incredible opportunities for growth and the alignment of the organisation’s values with my own passion for care. The supportive environment and the Trust's mission to provide high-quality care truly resonate with me, making it a place where I can continue to thrive and make a difference.

I love the direct impact I can have on the residents' lives, as well as the sense of fulfilment that comes from the connections I build with them. The team I work with is also a huge part of what I enjoy about the job, as we work closely together to provide the best care possible. Additionally, the constant opportunity to learn and grow in my role keeps me motivated and engaged. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive difference in the lives of those we care for.
