A warm and friendly atmosphere welcomes you to Whitefriars, where professionally trained staff are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week to offer you the support you need, when you need it.

Residents can relax and enjoy a cup of tea with friends and family in one of the sitting rooms or join in one of the regular social activities.

There is a varied programme of activities, entertainment and events, arranged by Activities coordinators around each person's requests, hobbies and interests.

The kitchen team, headed by a professional cook, is proud to offer a varied menu of home-cooked meals to suit individual dietary requirements and preferences.

With a focus on flavour, seasonal produce is used whenever possible and the tasty dishes are carefully balanced to get best nutritional value. And of course families and friends are welcome to join them at meal times.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is ÂŁ21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

The staff are kind, professional & caring. The care they provide considers my Dad's wellbeing & address his complex needs whilst including us in deciding the best course of action to assist him. After a medical incident the night team were an amazing support & gave us peace of mind that Dad would be
comfortable & very well looked after. The day team are always friendly & we appreciate the care & attention given to my Dad.

My husband was a resident in Whitefriars for 2 years until his death on 26/5/25. The standard of care was always good but the care he received from the majority of the staff caring for him for the last 5 days of his life was truly outstanding. As a nurse with 40 years experience I know that this was
exceptional care, he would not have received better care anywhere, even in a hospice. Thank you to all the staff concerned.

Mum moved here from a short stay at another care home following falls in her own home. As soon as she arrived at Whitefriars the increase in the level of care and attention was very noticeable. Her falls risks were immediately identified, her mobility needs properly assessed and real connection made
with staff who have all been very friendly and helpful.The rooms are smaller than some other care homes but they are comfortable, light warm and meet all needs.

The care given to my dad is fabulous, he's very happy and feels cared and listened to. He had an unpleasant experience in a previous care house but loves being in Whitefrairs, Stamford. The staff went above and beyond in catering for his 82nd Birthday party with family. The food and cake was so lovely
and family very much appreciated it!

My mum was a resident at Whitefriars for 19 months passing away in Oct. 2024 after losing her battle with Parkinson's and dementia. My mum was extremely well cared for when she was a resident and the support received from all the staff in her final days was incredibly heartwarming. A large part of a
Whitefriars care plan also focuses on the wellbeing of immediate family. The staff have all been very supportive of my father. Whitefriars is an environment where they look to be innovative in their approach to care, being nominated and winning several awards. One instance is where the End of Life Care Lead is creating a private suite for immediate family that my father and I would have found very useful when we stayed overnight in my Mum's final hours. The suite will hopefully be available to use in the near future and I hope that other families will benefit and find it useful in challenging times.

Whitefriars was the second care home my husband had been in. The first one not a good experience. He was so comfortable and so well looked after, he will certainly be back next time I need a respite break. Thanks to all the staff for the care he received.

My brother has received such excellent care whilst staying at Whitefriars for 12 days respite care. All the carers are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. They are kind, treat my brother with respect and dignity, and plenty of eye contact. I cannot fault any of his carers. The management is also

We have been delighted with the care and support we have received from the team. Dedicated, close-knit and loving towards residents. We feel completely happy and relieved to find a place for Mum. They made the transition to a care home easier and gave us support.

I can't give enough praise for all the care and support for both myself and my late brother. The staff listened to all my worries and acted on them in a very professional way. I was touched that two members of staff managed to attend the funeral. They spoke to the rest of the family which was wonderful.

My 90-year-old father had two weeks of respite care here to give my mother a break. From the moment I rang to arrange the stay (which was done last minute) to the moment I collected him we received a 5-star service. Every member of staff we came into contact with was lovely and obviously happy to work
there. Dad was very apprehensive about going but enjoyed his time there and the food! He now feels happy about going in to give Mum a break whenever necessary. The thing that struck me was that everyone had time to chat and really got to know my dad during his short stay. What an amazing team you all are. Thank you so much.

This was our first visit to Whitefriars as our mum had only recently arrived. We were so impressed by the staff who knew all about how she was settling in. The manager took time to explain to us exactly how things were going and what the plan was going forward.

I began my journey with OSJCT in June 2017 as a Senior Carer at Whitefriars Care Home in Stamford. Over the years, I progressed through various roles, including Care Lead, Dementia Lead, and Deputy Manager. In June 2025, I was honoured to be appointed as the Home Manager at Whitefriars, marking a significant milestone in my career.
I have a deep passion for care, particularly for people living with dementia, as this is something very personal to me. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives is what drives me every day.
I have remained with the Trust because of the incredible opportunities for growth and the alignment of the organisation’s values with my own passion for care. The supportive environment and the Trust's mission to provide high-quality care truly resonate with me, making it a place where I can continue to thrive and make a difference.
I love the direct impact I can have on the residents' lives, as well as the sense of fulfilment that comes from the connections I build with them. The team I work with is also a huge part of what I enjoy about the job, as we work closely together to provide the best care possible. Additionally, the constant opportunity to learn and grow in my role keeps me motivated and engaged. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive difference in the lives of those we care for.
