My dad was in respite but also, end of life. During his final days, my sister and I were allowed to go and sit with my dad, wearing all the PPE, and the care staff were fantastic. They offered us a drink and let us stay for as long as we wanted. They were always checking on my dad and gave him the care he required. Thank you to all of the carers and staff.

My dad may not have stayed here for very long, but he loved it from the moment he arrived. The staff are fantastic and do an excellent job. We would like to say a huge thank you for making our dad's last days the best they could be.

From the day in March 2018 when Mum was first admitted to this home, words do not justify the care standards, knowledge of dementia, the will do attitude and friendliness of the carers in both Primose and Jasmine lanes. Not only to the resident but the spouse and family to ensure this difficult and upsetting change of lifestyle is as smooth a transition as possible.

Been to visit my father-in-law on a few occasions always made to feel welcome on my visits. The home is immaculately clean and the staff are very pleasant. The food is of a very high standard having dined there twice recently. Knowing that my father-in-law is well looked after and very happy gives me and my partner peace of mind.

My mother has lived in Whitefriars for over 2 years. As her only child, and living in France, I depend fully on the support and care of the staff. I can honestly say that without exception, I have found everyone at Whitefriars, from senior management, carers and admin staff, to be extremely professional and caring. My mother is always well dressed and remains extremely happy - and, therefore, so am I. I count myself as very lucky to have found such a lovely home for her.

When I visit I am always impressed by the care and attention given to my Aunt. The patience shown by the staff, quite often under trying circumstances, is exemplary.

My darling husband was at Whitefriars, Stamford for over 2 years. Thankfully he settled in well and was happy and content. For me, it was not so easy. The realisation I could no longer manage to care for my husband at home, and his eventual move into a care home left me completely bereft. My husband's care team was led by the outstanding senior carer, dementia lead and senior carer dementia support, and their dedication, integrity, leadership and clear thinking were exemplary. Along with his key carers, they showed him respect, care, kindness and patience, acknowledging him as an individual, recognising his character and significant contributions of past years.

Working long hours, often under very stressful and difficult circumstances, their kindness, support and understanding was also extended to me. My many wishes for my husband's care were always listened to and accommodated where possible. Over time all of this enabled me to form a good rapport with his care team. This close communication and my very regular visits, allowed me to add my own help and care for my husband and his room.

It is, with much appreciation and heartfelt gratitude, I thank you for all your care. Also, my sincere thank yous to the reception office, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, chefs and kitchen staff.

My mother has been in Whitefriars for five years and I have always felt the staff do a tremendous job. My only comment against Whitefriars is that the food provided could be better. For the amount of money we spend, more variety would be good.

However, they do all they can to provide expert care with limited resources.

My elderly mother has been a resident at Whitefriars Care Home for a month now and the staff have been lovely, making her welcome, helping her to find her way around and helping her to integrate with other residents and join in with daily activities.

All the staff are very kind and understanding of her needs (she has Dementia) and allaying her anxieties.

My father has now been at Whitefriars for just over 4 years. In those years, I haven't had any complaints with the care he receives. He is always clean and tidy, as is his room.

The staff on the dementia unit are all lovely and treat my dad with respect and dignity like he is one of their family members. They keep me up to date with how my dad is and when I visit, which is approximately every 4 weeks, he is always happy. I never have any concerns about his welfare. I would definitely recommend Whitefriars dementia unit to anyone.

I am extremely grateful to the Manager, Administrator, Head Carer and Carers for their professional care that they have given my mother who has Dementia with Lewy Bodies. The Care Home is warm and friendly, very clean and I know that my mother is 100% safe and is well cared for.

Thank you for being our lifeline.

My husband has settled well and is on good terms with the staff and management. I am always made welcome at any time. There are smiles and a chatty atmosphere. If he has a fall or is not well, I am informed immediately and I am reliably informed by other visitors that they all have similarly been welcomed.

After struggling for several months, to give the adequate care in her own home to our 96-year-old Mum, we found her a place in Whitefriars in Stamford. Although she was only with us another four months. We had peace of mind knowing she was being so well cared for. I and my Family can't thank everyone enough from the Managers, the Admin staff and the wonderful Care assistants and Volunteers.

A heartfelt thank you from all of dad's family for all the care and attention given to him and his family while he was in your care, he was treated like a member of the family. We as a family have a great deal of respect to all staff in the daily care given to residents and families. We have always felt most welcome, the staff being wonderful and very respectful to our elderly father. Special thanks to all the staff on duty the day dad died. Thank you all for being so kind and considerate. Bless you all.

Louise Green
Louise GreenJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2017
I began my journey with OSJCT in June 2017 as a Senior Carer at Whitefriars Care Home in Stamford. Over the years, I progressed through various roles, including Care Lead, Dementia Lead, and Deputy Manager. In June 2025, I was honoured to be appointed as the Home Manager at Whitefriars, marking a significant milestone in my career.
I have a deep passion for care, particularly for people living with dementia, as this is something very personal to me. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives is what drives me every day.
I have remained with the Trust because of the incredible opportunities for growth and the alignment of the organisation’s values with my own passion for care. The supportive environment and the Trust's mission to provide high-quality care truly resonate with me, making it a place where I can continue to thrive and make a difference.

I love the direct impact I can have on the residents' lives, as well as the sense of fulfilment that comes from the connections I build with them. The team I work with is also a huge part of what I enjoy about the job, as we work closely together to provide the best care possible. Additionally, the constant opportunity to learn and grow in my role keeps me motivated and engaged. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive difference in the lives of those we care for.
