A warm and friendly atmosphere welcomes you to Whitefriars, where professionally trained staff are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week to offer you the support you need, when you need it.

Residents can relax and enjoy a cup of tea with friends and family in one of the sitting rooms or join in one of the regular social activities.

There is a varied programme of activities, entertainment and events, arranged by Activities coordinators around each person's requests, hobbies and interests.

The kitchen team, headed by a professional cook, is proud to offer a varied menu of home-cooked meals to suit individual dietary requirements and preferences.

With a focus on flavour, seasonal produce is used whenever possible and the tasty dishes are carefully balanced to get best nutritional value. And of course families and friends are welcome to join them at meal times.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

My father's room looked amazing when I visited today. Very clean and fresh looking plus the window open meant it smelt very pleasant.
I found the housekeeper lady and congratulated her personally and thanked her on my father's behalf.

I was very nervous about seeing my grandma for the first time in Whitefriars as it was a sad decision to make but all the staff were so friendly, kind and caring and made me feel at ease. It is such a lovely, clean and welcoming place and my grandma is so very happy. Thank you to the wonderful staff
who are just brilliant. Also, the daily menus are amazing!

My husband was in Whitefriars from September 2021 until his sudden death on the 4th of December 2022. In the fifteen months he was in care he was treated with dignity and respect. He was not only cared for but he was cared about. He could not have been in a better place. He was happy and looked upon
Whitefriars as his home and the staff as family. I can only say a huge thank you to all there.

The manager and staff are all very welcoming, friendly and approachable. They clearly knew the resident well and had time to explain to visiting family about a recent progress update. Also fixed a maintenance issue on the day of visit as soon as we reported it. Really encouraged to hear about plans
for the gym day!

So pleased to have Dad at Whitefriars. We know he is well cared for, and the staff have taken the time to get to know him. Mum was a resident for around 18 months, with a high level of anxiety. The staff were always very calm and reassuring with her, and found ways to help her. As her health declined, the staff really came into their own. Their knowledge and expertise in caring for her and looking after us, her family was

I visited several care homes looking for the best new home for my dad. After visiting Whitefriars I knew I had found the home that would be where my dad would be comfortable and well cared for. The manager spent a long time with me talking about the home and the philosophy of care. Dad was welcomed
in just a few days ago, and while his short term memory loss, along with several other limitations, impacts his independence he has not been left on the sidelines. From what I have seen the team there all work to ensure that the residents are noticed and responded to with warmth and care. For the first time in a long time, I feel okay when I leave my dad, knowing he will be safe, warm and comfortable.

My sister was very well cared for during the final months of her long life by the staff at Whitefriars. I always met her in the visitor's suite, although her dementia made having a conversation difficult, she had no memory.

I began my journey with OSJCT in June 2017 as a Senior Carer at Whitefriars Care Home in Stamford. Over the years, I progressed through various roles, including Care Lead, Dementia Lead, and Deputy Manager. In June 2025, I was honoured to be appointed as the Home Manager at Whitefriars, marking a significant milestone in my career.
I have a deep passion for care, particularly for people living with dementia, as this is something very personal to me. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives is what drives me every day.
I have remained with the Trust because of the incredible opportunities for growth and the alignment of the organisation’s values with my own passion for care. The supportive environment and the Trust's mission to provide high-quality care truly resonate with me, making it a place where I can continue to thrive and make a difference.
I love the direct impact I can have on the residents' lives, as well as the sense of fulfilment that comes from the connections I build with them. The team I work with is also a huge part of what I enjoy about the job, as we work closely together to provide the best care possible. Additionally, the constant opportunity to learn and grow in my role keeps me motivated and engaged. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive difference in the lives of those we care for.
