Scheduled to open in January/February 2018, Grace Care Centre is located close to the centre of the delightful market town of Thornbury. The care centre has small household units so that it feels more like a traditional home, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The home will offer spacious en suite bedrooms, comfortable lounges, styling dining and living areas and landscaped gardens, a hair and beauty salon, craft room and cinema. Residents will also be able to relax and enjoy time with their families and friends in the Pavilion tea room and café.
The home will also offer delicious, freshly cooked meals with a seasonal menu and a range of activities to keep residents active and enjoying a fulfilling lifestyle.

Job Title: General Manager
Pyela Mwale is the Home Manager of Grace Care Centre and has more than 20 years’ experience in the care industry, most of which has been in care homes for the elderly as well young adults with physical disabilities. She has worked in many managerial roles as Home Manager, Regional Manager, as well as commissioning and managing brand new care homes.
During Pyela’s career, she has worked in many care homes across the south west, midlands and South Wales. She has experience in caring for people with dementia, from the early stages right through to the end stages, general nursing and palliative care. She is a Registered General Nurse, and completed her Registered Managers Award in 2007. On top of that, she has a qualification in business management from Essex University, as well as completing several modules in dementia with Worcester University.
Pyela prides herself on her passionate about delivering person centred care for residents. She is delighted to have been appointed General Manager for Grace Care Centre.
