Just a word of thanks to all at Grace Care for a wonderful afternoon helping to celebrate Carole and my 65th wedding anniversary. With special thanks to the chef who put on a splendid buffet and Matt who organised it all.

My parents were cared for by an excellent team of very professional & compassionate carers. When Mum passed away the team supported Dad through his bereavement and gently encouraged him to get more involved in home life & the wide range of activities & day trips provided. They also supported us as a
family and we were always made to feel welcome. My Dad was cared for at the home during his final days with exceptional care, kindness & genuine affection. The whole family felt supported during this difficult time and we were able to stay at the home 24/7 in the guest suite.
It is clear when you enter the home that it is a caring and welcoming place with an excellent team. The activities provided are designed to reflect and appeal to individuals' interests with an ambitious programme of events both inside & outside the home. Meals are excellent and we had a delicious celebratory Christmas meal in the private dining room which was a really special occasion.

We visited my wife's Auntie, who resides at Grace Care Centre. I am really impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and level of care she receives. The centre itself, is clean, bright and airy. Our aunty loves the gardens in any weather and season!

Mum has received the best care I could possible hope for. The staff were understanding of her every need and treated her with respect and dignity up till the end. Can't fault them in any way. The food was excellent as was the facilities and the entertainment was awesome. As well as my mum I was
always welcomed and the staff helped me through my mums dementia and her recent bereavement. I can't thank Karla and her team enough and know mum would have thanked you herself had she been able

My wife has Dementia, and I looked after her myself for several years until I couldn't cope any longer. She has been in the Grace Care Centre for about 6 months, and is now being looked after much better than I could ever manage.
The staff at the Care Centre are always friendly, welcoming and
helpful. The Carers in particular are wonderful, and my wife has been treated with kindness, patience, gentleness and respect. I am full of admiration for what the Care team do.
Dealing with Dementia in someone you love is difficult and distressing. But at least I have the reassurance that my wife is in such good hands, and is being cared for so well. I am most grateful to everyone at the Grace Care Centre for this.

Whilst visiting my mum over the past six months, we have observed the highest levels of care across the whole team at the care home. My husband (former health & social care manager) having visited dozens of care homes across Dorset, thinks this is by far the best home he has ever seen. The staff
create a wonderful, welcoming, warm atmosphere with their friendly attitude. We are so grateful we chose this home for mum!

My mother moved into Grace Care a year ago. Despite having difficulty speaking I know that she was very happy and content at the care home. All of the staff treated her with great kindness and respect at all times. The medical care she received was excellent. All of the services provided such as
food, laundry and activities were excellent. The room was very comfortable and was always kept very clean by the staff. When mum fell ill at the end of January the care and kindness she received from all of the staff was excellent and it was a great comfort to me at a difficult time. Whenever I visited the staff were always extremely friendly and supportive and it made life easier for me to know she was being well looked after.
Having had no contact with the care system previously it was a great relief and comfort to me that Grace Care looked after mum in such a kind and caring manner.

We moved Mum into here after being discharged from Southmead Hospital into an awful place last July. Since moving her from the horrendous place, Mum has come on in leaps and bounds. She is happy and healthy and so well cared for.
The most important thing for me is that Mum is safe, loved and cared
for; something that money cannot buy.
The Staff are amazing, the facilities are fantastic. Food is freshly cooked and the menu choices are fantastic.
Even though Mum has dementia, it's like she is staying in a top class hotel, but with personal care, her carers cannot do enough for her, everyone is so kind, honest, loyal and open. It is a breath of fresh air.
I cannot pay enough tribute to all the staff and volunteers here.

Myself and family attended Grace Care Centre's summer fete as part of a visit to our loved one, it was delightful to see so many residents, families and visitors having such a wonderful time. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone made us feel very welcome and cared for. Thank you for all that
you do.

We found Grace Care Centre very clean and welcoming and the food was excellent. The staff were very polite respectful and welcoming. The distribution of medicines was effective and very well organised. Our only criticism would be that when the resident we were visiting needed physical assistance to
transfer to or from his wheelchair then the necessary assistance was not readily available which affected our plans on each occasion!

Grace Care Centre has a really special welcoming atmosphere, it is kind and friendly and calm. The staff are warm, engaging, helpful and professional. These qualities are inspired by outstanding leadership and are also reflected in the whole management team. The 2016 purpose-built premises are
light, spacious and clean in every area, and this enhances the feeling of being embraced by this lovely home.

My father was very poorly for six weeks, and we made the difficult decision for him to go for two weeks respite to give the family a break and to aid my dad's rehabilitation; the procedure to make a booking for me was very anxious/upsetting, but the staff made me feel a lot better about the decision
and were on hand to answer any questions that I had.
My father went in on one level of well-being and came out so much better, both mentally and physically, and I am so pleased with the decision we made as a family. The staff were obliging, friendly and caring. The food was excellent and has given Dad back his appetite and quest for life. Dad didn't partake in any activities, but I was witness to some and tried to encourage him to join in as they looked really good.
His GP visited him the afternoon he returned back home and couldn't believe it was the same person from where Dad was at the beginning of December.
Dad will be going in for respite again in June, and we have no problems with our decision.

My mum's health and well-being have been transformed by Grace Care Centre. Living in a place where she receives amazing care and good food, took her from a bad place to a new stage in her life where she can regularly be with family again. I would sum up Grace Care Centre as welcoming, kind, safe and
caring.
