Isis Care and Retirement Centre is registered for eighty residents and offers a team of skilled and friendly carers, able to provide residential, early-stage dementia, respite and intermediate care.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

From the day my father arrived he was very well cared for by the staff team on Camellia Ward. My father was treated with dignity and respect and well looked after as though he was part of a large Camellia family. The residents sat together eating in a lovely clean dining room, and he enjoyed the variety
of food options and the personal choice given. Dad particularly enjoyed the puddings. Staff were very attentive in meeting his personal needs, and allowing the family to work with them when we could. We were always updated about dad's medical needs and the staff shared information in person and by phone so we always felt part of dad's care. Dad was very sociable but struggled with dementia and the dedicated staff worked tirelessly to encourage him to be involved in all aspects of everyday life. Dad's morale was maintained by their dedicated support, reassuring for the whole family. We felt the care was authentic, and professional and took care of everybody's needs. We could not have asked for better support. Thank you.

The stay covering nine days was to provide respite care, and it was my mum's first experience of a care home. I was very impressed with everything. My mum clearly enjoyed the busy, but calm environment. She likes to have people about ber and variety. Her Parkinson's and Dementia caused her to be a
little unsettled at times, to begin with, but the staff were fantastic at dealing with this, and she soon settled, going on to enjoy her time there.

A wonderful care home! The care is excellent. Highly recommend it, all the staff are very friendly. The food is good cooked by the chef. The gardens are lovely and well-maintained. Isis is much better than the hospital.

Upon entering a lovely care home - no urine smell. Staff lovely, interacted with you whenever they saw you. You were kept informed at every stage of care and physiotherapy. Only 'gripe' is it often took a long time to gain/leave care home in out of hours (9-5) time.

I visited 2 residents this afternoon, 1 male and 1 female.
Pleasant and helpful staff at reception, who directed me to the appropriate rooms. Met 1 registered nurse who was friendly and chatty - both rooms I visited were clean and the residents appeared to be well looked after. Generally, the total
appearance of the home, both externally and internally was clean, and lots of greenery and seating were plentiful.

Our mother was admitted for rehab, and fairly quickly succumbed to an infection, went into a decline and died four weeks after admittance. My sisters and I are so, so happy that Mum ended up in Isis. We simply could not have wished for a better place for her to spend her last few weeks. The ward staff,
who were geared up for rehab, could not have been more caring and at the same time professional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. And a close eye was kept on Mum in spite of other demands. Our mother bonded with every single member of staff with whom she came into contact. The doctors from Donnington Medical Practice were also wonderful. Isis management were totally on the case - for example allowing Mum to stay in her rehab room (a move would have been very traumatic). In short, from every point of view, we thank our lucky stars that Mum spent her final weeks in Isis House.

The compassion, care and kindness of the outstanding staff of Isis House has had a profound and lasting effect on me. Three of us came to visit this resident. We were very appropriately welcomed by reception staff. As one of us had visited this resident before, we knew where to go. As there was only one chair in the room, I went in search of another couple of chairs. I was, very quickly, asked if I needed help by a
member of staff who showed me to the sitting room. The member of staff took one of the chairs for me. Within a short time, a member of staff came with a cup of tea for the resident, who asked if it was possible for "her guests" to have a cup of tea. She replied, very appropriately, that she had to serve the other residents first. The member of staff returned shortly and we were served with a delicious cup of tea. During our visit, the sun was shining very strongly through the window behind the resident. It was difficult for one of the visitors to see and it was difficult to get safely behind the resident. A member of staff came and noticed the sun and asked if we would like the curtain closed. We readily agreed. We were impressed with the care the resident received and with the care and attention we were given as guests. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit and for the care you are giving to our friend.

My whole experience visiting my ill elderly mother over the last three months of her life there was truly superb.
I found every member of staff helpful, sociable and cheerful doing what is often demanding and difficult job and got to know them on my daily visits.
The care home is clean, comfortable
and welcoming. My mother was very ill and bed-bound, I am grateful to everyone there for her care. I remain eternally grateful to everyone there for her care. I remain eternally grateful that the Isis House Care Centre contacted me at home to spend my mother last night with her and be there when she died.

Kelly-Marie

Kelly-Marie Allen

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2014

Kelly-Marie has been the Home Manager at Isis House since July 2025; previously, she was Home Manager at Longlands. She has over 15 years of experience in the care industry. She joined the Trust in 2014, having previously worked as a Care Coordinator in domiciliary care. Kelly-Marie has a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and she is also a moving and handling trainer. Kelly-Marie completed her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2022 and is working towards her Level 7.


Kelly says, “I love my job, and love how no two days are ever the same. I am very proud of my team at Isis House; the residents are at the heart of everything we do in the home.”


In Kelly-Marie’s spare time, she spends with her three children and family. She also enjoys reading.

Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.

Rachel

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”

Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.

Karishma (Kase)

Karishma (Kase) Chauhan

Job Title: Activity Coordinator Joined: 2025

Kase joined the Trust in April 2025 as an Activity Coordinator at Isis House. She graduated from the University of Bolton in 2020 with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Kase brings her creativity and passion for art to her role, using her skills to develop engaging arts and crafts activities for residents.


She has launched a weekly Community Arts and Crafts Club, held every Monday afternoon from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm, creating a vibrant space for expression and connection. Kase also holds a qualification in Digital Marketing and has previously worked with The Paint Club, where she discovered her love for teaching others to paint.


Her inspiration to work with older adults comes from personal experience—she shared a love of painting with her grandmother, who lived with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s. This deepened her understanding of the therapeutic power of art.


Outside of work, Kase runs her own art business, creating and selling original paintings and prints. Art is at the heart of everything she does, and she’s excited to share her passion with the residents at Isis House.
