We’re now looking for someone who is kind, dependable, and genuinely cares about making a difference in people’s lives. You’ll need to be a good listener, communicate clearly, and work well both independently and within a team.
If you have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, experience with older adults or dementia care, or training in medication or first aid, that’s a bonus, but not a must.
We’re happy to support the right person with training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene, always with respect for their preferences
- Supporting at mealtimes such as serving food, assisting with eating where needed, and encouraging good hydration
- Helping residents move safely around the home and assisting with transfers, like from bed to chair
- Observing and recording any changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing, and reporting these to senior staff promptly
- Encouraging involvement in social activities, hobbies, and gentle movement to help residents stay active and engaged
- Administering medication safely and in line with care plans (for those trained to do so)
