The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the team by ensuring that our Homes are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

This role can be physically demanding and fast-paced, requiring compassion, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility. However, the rewards are significant, with high levels of job satisfaction and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

You will be part of a warm and welcoming team, all committed to creating a positive and friendly atmosphere within the Home. Your duties will include ensuring that residents’ bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and all communal areas are thoroughly cleaned and well-presented, contributing to a safe and comfortable living environment.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with previous experience of working within a Care Home setting however if you have a good work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, and a background in housekeeping or cleaning, we would love to hear from you. Full training and support will be provided to help you succeed in your role.

An understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH would be an advantage.

All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references. 

Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.

You must have current valid right to work in the UK.

The Person

You should be able and willing to follow instructions and detailed guidelines and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

It is essential that you can work within a team and also work unsupervised as needed.

If you can show thoroughness and attention to detail that would be an advantage.

If you have a basic understanding of using cleaning chemicals and handling and dealing with infection control situations within a challenging environment we would also welcome your application.
