Job summary
We are looking for a night shift team leader who will lead the team at our friendly care home to ensure the smooth running of the service complies with relevant regulations and procedures. We are looking for night shift leader to cover two nights a week. We are interested in staff who will go the extra mile to put smiles on residents' faces and are good at working with other team colleagues.
- Provide compassionate and personalised care to individuals in the
care home
- Assist with activities of daily living, including
bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting to the toilet.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare
professionals
- Update care plans and risk assessments as and
when needed
- Review bowel charts
- Review medication care
plans
- Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and
preferences –
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as
laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Provide companionship and
engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Monitor and
report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the
appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and
transfers as needed, Follow care plans and instructions provided by
healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable
environment for clients
Shifts include 8 pm to 8 am night duty. Two or three nights a week, shifts to be confirmed.
Person specification
- To build good working relationships within the team
- Work on
the floor and lead a team
- Experience of medication
administration.
- Experience of ordering and receiving
medications into the care home
- Be part of the management team
to ensure continuity of information, standards and policies are
effectively implemented.
- Communicating clearly and effectively
with the staff team, families, and other professionals to ensure that
the residents receive the best possible provision of care
- Minimum of one year experience in social care.
- Excellent
communication skills
- Good attention to detail.
- Commitment to own professional and personal development.
