Supper Chef (Part-time)

Job summary

We are a friendly residential care home that prides itself on providing good quality homemade food. We also pride ourselves on high quality customer service. We are looking for a Supper Chef to work Monday to Friday. Can you work by yourself to cook good quality food? You will be preparing homemade meals with a choice each mealtime.

We have up to 26 residents to cook for each day. Hours are 4 pm to 7 pm. You will need relevant experience and a food hygiene certificate. (we can provide a test for food hygiene). If you are interested in providing good quality food and would love to provide an outstanding service to the elderly, then we would love to hear from you. You will also need a current DBS check. The ideal candidate will also be able to cover for sickness and holidays for the other chefs.

You will be required to prepare food such as sandwiches, pizza, jacket potatoes etc for supper. If you were covering for chefs during the day, you would provide main meals and snacks such as cakes or a savoury snack.

Hours: 3 hours per day Monday to Friday, 15 hours a week.
