Purpose of the Role

As Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead, you will support the Registered Home Manager in leading the care, support, and administrative functions of the service. You’ll ensure the smooth running of daily operations, uphold regulatory standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care.

The role will be 40hrs per week and flexibility will be required to suit the needs of the Home and will include some night and weekend working. ROTA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the care team, ensuring high standards of service delivery
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager during their absence.
  • Adhere to all appropriate CQC/NMC guidelines/regulations.
  • To be part of the on call rota.
  • Maintain up-to-date skills and undertake relevant training.
  • Manage the service in line with best practice, legislation, and financial/budget plans.
  • Ensure residents’ preferences and wellbeing are central to care planning.
  • Oversee staff supervision, appraisals, monthly rotas and recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality documentation and records.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
  • Foster effective working relationships with staff and multidisciplinary teams.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • What We Are Looking For Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and equivalent to a Band 5 or above. Clinical experience in a health or social care setting
  • with a sound understanding of clinical governance

  • and risk assessment practices. Proven experience in a care setting with leadership and management responsibilities. Experience with CQC audits and compliance implementation. Strong organisational and communication skills. A commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding. Ability to lead
