Kitchen Assistant

Job summary

Key Responsibilities:
•   Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the menu and dietary requirements of residents.
•   Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
•   Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
•   Help with receiving and storing food deliveries.
•   Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
•   Serve meals to residents in a respectful and friendly manner.
•   Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain recycling practices.
•   Report any issues with equipment or supplies to the kitchen supervisor.

Requirements:
•   Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential).
•   Basic food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain).
•   Ability to work as part of a team.
•   Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•   Understanding of health and safety regulations.
•   Compassionate and respectful attitude toward elderly residents.
