We’re looking for an Activities Coordinator to bring creativity, companionship, and variety to the daily lives of our residents.
The Role
As Activities Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the social life of our home. You’ll plan, organise, and deliver a programme of engaging activities — from games, crafts, and music sessions to inviting entertainers and arranging community outings. You’ll also spend one-to-one time with residents, ensuring everyone has the chance to join in, no matter their abilities.
You will be responsible for managing your own diary and workload, balancing the needs of the residents with the overall running of the home. This role could suit one full-time Activities Coordinator or two part-time staff working on a job-share basis.
What We’re Looking For
- A creative and enthusiastic individual who can motivate and inspire others
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time effectively
- Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and colleagues
- Confidence to lead group activities as well as provide personalised one-to-one engagement
- Experience in a care setting is an advantage but not essential — personality, initiative, and compassion are key
