Job summary
Role: Deputy Manager (Registered Nurse)
Pay rate: Up to £22 per hour - depending on experience
Contract hours: 40 hours per week
Working hours: 5 out of 7 days rotation to cover weekends
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager (Registered Nurse) to join our team and support the Home Manager in providing outstanding care for our residents.
This role combines leadership with hands-on clinical support, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are maintained. You will take a lead role in managing the nursing and care team, overseeing clinical practice, and deputising for the Home Manager in their absence.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and supervise the care and nursing team to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to staff.
- Support on the floor when required, delivering hands-on care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and best practice.
- Manage care planning, medication administration, audits, and quality monitoring.
- Assist with staff recruitment, training, rotas, and development.
About you:
- Current NMC PIN (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
- Proven leadership experience in a care home or similar setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Ability to balance management responsibilities with hands-on care.
