The Role

We are a well-regarded residential home based in Felpham, Bognor Regis. We are currently seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate Wellbeing Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

This role is for 30 hours per week, working five days on a rota basis, including every other weekend. The working hours are 10:00 to 16:00.

As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities, events, and outings designed to engage residents, promote independence, and enhance their overall wellbeing. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and vibrant environment that supports residents in remaining active, connected, and fulfilled. Our team is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify residents’ activity needs, interests, and abilities through assessments, observations, and discussions.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities, including group sessions, one-to-one engagement, outings, and themed events.
  • Encourage residents to stay connected with family, friends, and the local community, supporting inclusion and social interaction.
  • Promote resident independence by adapting activities to individual abilities and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, relatives, and external providers to enhance the activity programme.
  • Advertise and communicate the activities schedule clearly to residents, relatives, and staff to encourage participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity evaluations to inform reviews and improvements.
  • Organise and support special events such as summer parties, Christmas celebrations, and fundraising activities.
  • Ensure activities are conducted safely, always adhering to health and safety and infection control procedures.
  • Support the good reputation of the home by representing the service positively at internal and external events.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and training as required, contributing ideas for service improvement.
  • Always uphold residents’ confidentiality and comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
