Job description:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic and growing team, servicing three of our care homes in the Teignmouth area, primarily based in Bishopteignton. Location: Bishopteignton & Teignmouth area
Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Salary: £13 - £14.50 (dependent on experience and skills)

As we expand, we're looking for a Maintenance person who can ensure that our care homes are kept in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Your Role:

As our maintenance person, you will play a key part in the upkeep of our care homes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine maintenance on internal and external areas of our buildings.
• Responding promptly to repair requests, addressing issues such as leaks, faulty appliances, and fixtures.
• Conducting inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining outdoor areas including paving, walkways and waste storage areas.
• Conducting regular equipment checks and logging maintenance activities.
• Testing fire safety systems and water temperatures in line with health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between our three care homes in the Teignmouth area
• Experience in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Vocational training in maintenance or related fields is preferred but not essential.
