My Great Aunt has been a resident here for nearly 3 years. From day one the manager and her team treated her with kindness, respect and such compassion that she settled so quickly. The family is kept informed of all health and wellbeing updates. The home is warm and welcoming with bright and airy spaces

My Mother has been a resident at Croft Lodge for over 5 years now. As a family my brothers and I remain extremely happy with the care, and continuing support received from the manager and her experienced team members. Mum has a lovely sunny room with a view which she enjoys, her local friends are able
to visit and she particularly enjoys Chef's delicious home cooked meals. My Mum has complex medical needs all of which are dealt with in a professional manner, as a family we work closely with the manager and her team to ensure we are all collectively pulling together for Mum in her later years. I have no hesitation in recommending Croft Lodge.

My mother has been at Willow House for almost a year. Although she has found it hard to accept her frailty, she is being cared for to an exceptional standard. All carers are kind and friendly. I can visit whenever I want, and am made to feel welcome. The management are approachable, and truly care
about their residents. The food is to a very high standard and cater for individuals if needed. Doctors and nurses visit weekly, there are hairdressers, podiatrists, dentists and opticians who visit regularly. I am impressed with the level of on going training which is reassuring. Everyone, from the cleaners, gardener, catering staff, carers, management and other visitors are obviously happy in their work and this shines through. Why can't all care homes be like this!

My mother lived in Willow House for 5 and1/2 years before she died in March. Throughout that time the staff have been immensely kind and caring and they have looked after Mum well as she has become increasingly frail. The home is in a wonderful garden, which she loved, and there are many summer activities
in the garden as well as indoor entertainment throughout the year. The food is excellent and home cooked and the staff make a great effort for occasions such as Christmas, Mother's Day etc and for everyone's birthday.
I cannot thank them enough for all their support and understanding as Mum became older and more frail. They have been very supportive to me and I have always felt able to approach the managers with any concerns, which are always listened to. I don't know how the staff do such a difficult job with such patience and understanding. My sincere thanks to them all.

I was very impressed with the genuine care shown by the staff for my mother. She passed away a few days ago, having been at Windward for about 15 months. All the staff seemed to be there because they genuinely cared. The staff also cared for we relatives, often offering us tea or coffee.

Her room

was nice, adequately warm.

I am not experienced with care homes, so my review is not comparative.

With my cynical hat on, I'd assumed the home would increase its charges once Mum was stuck there, but I was wrong. The charge remained the same, which I was impressed with, suggesting genuine care rather than care for profit.
