Our family will be forever grateful for the genuine care, respect and compassion shown to my Dad from the first home visit to the final moments of his life. They gave us back the man we loved for two short but invaluable months. The staff made us and him feel like we were all part of a " family "
I wish I had made the decision earlier to entrust my lovely Dad into Windward. I hope the staff and management never underestimate the positive impact they have on residents and their families!
Reply from Tushar Shah, Director at Windward HouseDear Sue,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this and your kind words. It was a real privilege to care for your Dad and to support you and your family through such an important and emotional time. Knowing that you felt he was treated with care, respect and compassion from the very first visit through to his final moments reassures us that we lived up to the standards we set for ourselves.
When you say we gave you back the man you loved, that truly stays with us. Those two months were precious, and if we were able to help create comfort, dignity and meaningful time together, then that is exactly why we do what we do and is a great testimony to our staff and management.
Thank you again for trusting us with your lovely Dad.

The manager & her team were more than, helpful they really care. We had a difficult situation settling a poorly father in law into care.
The team always provide the highest standard where physically caring for our relative. The care home is so clean, homely & doesnt smell! In a time of stress with
father in law we felt supported, informed & cared for, such a stressful time leading up to admission. We can only express our ongoing gratitude & continued support during the end of life care.
Reply from Sarah Tremlett, Manager at Beacon HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful feedback. Your words truly mean a great deal to the whole team. We know how difficult and emotional it can be to place a loved one into care, especially during such a challenging time, and we are honoured that you trusted us to support your father-in-law and your family. Providing compassionate, dignified, and high-quality care is at the heart of everything we do, and it is reassuring to know this was felt by you. Your appreciation of our team, the care provided, and the environment of the home will be shared with everyone - it will mean a great deal to them. Please know that we continue to be here to support you and your family, and we are grateful for your trust and kind words during such a sensitive time.

My mother received the best care from all the staff at Willow House during her short residency. I cannot praise them all enough and will always be so grateful for the support my mother and I received from everyone at Willow House. There is a wonderful supportive feeling of empathy and a very homely,
caring feeling as soon as you walk through the door.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff, my mother had a very calm, comfortable and peaceful end of life. She was not amongst strangers and in her short time there she was able to enjoy some wonderful trips out, the delicious dinners and benefit from the welcoming, happy and relaxed atmosphere in Willow House before she passed away.
The whole of the above is thanks to the leadership, dedication and humour of Janice and James.
Reply from Janice Federer, Registered Manager at Willow HouseThank you so much for your kind words, although your Mum's stay was short she crept into everyone's heart. She was a pleasure to care for and will be missed by all of us, as will you and your family.

Amazing staff, the staff really do make the home what it is. Great teamwork and so friendly but also empathetic and understanding. Ever since my mum came here for rehabilitation in October she has been so well looked after and the care reaches expectations. There is so much choice for mum here and her
wishes are always met. The food choice is great. Mum is always happy with what she has for variety and my little boy loves having a snack from the snack table every time he visits. Management has always been extremely supportive with information regarding mum and have helped me through a tough time. The home is always clean and tidy amd there is always staff around for anything mum needs. I would definitely recommend Croft Lodge to anyone wanting a safe and supportive home for their family.

All the staff at Beacon House are truly wonderful. I really can't thank them enough for the loving care and compassion (and patience!) which they demonstrate on a daily basis when supporting my elderly mother. There is a genuine family atmosphere between the residents and the staff who are always smiling
and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with how the staff/management handled the recent refurbishment (with minimum disruption to the residents!) which has transformed the internal environment.

My friend has been at Croft lodge for 3 years and in spite of having dementia she feels safe and cared for. When I visit I see such genuine care for the residents. Not just my friend I see the staff putting themselves out to meet the needs or wants of all the residents. They treat them with care
kindness and respect but have a bit of banter when appropriate. The staff know their residents well. They give residents choices and respect their decisions. If I need care I'd be happy to be placed here. I've seen other care homes that charge as much or more but the care and loving atmosphere isn't there.
This may sound OTT but ita genuinely how I feel and as I can't always get to see my friend as much as I would like I am assured she is well and safe. Thank you to the whole team.
Reply from Sharon Jerwood, Registered Manager at Croft LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It means a great deal to all of us at Croft Lodge. I cannot speak highly enough about the care given to my mother during her stay, particularly when her health deteriorated and she required extensive care. Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to keep her as happy and comfortable as possible. The management and staff were extremely

My wife was well looked after for her 2 weeks respite stay. All staff were attentive and pleasant. In particular it was obvious that care had been taken with her hair and skin. She enjoyed the food and seemed to thrive on the social interaction in the communal areas. She will be staying again soon with
a view to permanent residence eventually.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Willow House. My mum moved in February, following a fall and feeling increasingly unsafe in her own home. Despite her being more than a touch uncertain when she arrived, the staff were so welcoming and did their best for her - she was not always easily
pleased when it came to food, but the cook did her best to cater to Mum's wishes. All of the staff were very kind to Mum, from the cleaning and washing team, to the daily carers and especially James the Deputy Manager, who Mum had a soft spot for. Sadly, Mum's health took a turn for the worse, and she ended up in hospital for a while, but she was determined to get back to Willow. Her final few weeks were where I really understood and felt the kindness and patience of the whole team, their job is not an easy or glamorous one, but they all take pride in their work and do their absolute best for their residents. I wish that Mum had been able to stay longer, and enjoy the family atmosphere.
Reply from Janice Federer, Registered Manager at Willow HouseThank you so much for your review and your kind words. We are all so glad that your Mum was able to spend her final days with us. She was always kind to the staff, which they appreciated. Your Mum was a special part of our family and was loved by all.
