Very caring and supportive staff, always happy to help. Mum is very happy and relaxed, enjoys the activities and food!

Her room is lovely and the garden is beautiful, plenty of room to walk and sit inside and outside.

We can visit at any time and any questions we have are always answered quickly.

We feel very lucky to have found such a special place for our Mum.

Estuary View has been a lovely home for mum. She is quite happy staying here.
Staff are excellent and mum says is treated very well.
Her room is in good order and plenty of storage space for her clothes and belongings.
There are several areas where residents can sit - lounge, dining room or conservatory
(and obviously their own room).
The conservatory has lovely views and is a quiet space.
Generally the home is a fairly quiet without the television blaring out all day.
Would certainly recommend for your family and friends who are in need of a care home.
Reply from Tracie Bowen, Manager at Estuary ViewThank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mum is happy at Estuary View and feels well cared for by our team. It's wonderful to know she enjoys the comfortable surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. We truly appreciate your recommendation and your kind words.

A lovely visit with great grandad.
We haven't been since the alterations and what a fantastic job they have done.
The kitchen amenities are wonderful with the help yourself to coffee & tea and cold drinks from the fridge.
A very homely feel.

Mum has lived at Beacon House for over two years. She is very happy and I am! All the staff are very caring and fun. As soon as you walk in for a visit you are given a warm welcome and you feel the warmth and laughter. Mum's health issues have been dealt with promptly and I found the support I was given
too, very helpful. The management always contact me if mum has a health issue, which is great!

Mum has settled well into this new home, this has been aided by the attentive, hardworking staff. I'm really pleased with her bedroom and the facilities it has. It's bright, airy and always very clean and tidy. The management team and all staff are always kind and caring towards Mum and welcoming to
us on our regular visits, nothing is too much trouble. I feel happy that Mum is being very well looked after.

My Dad settled in at Croft Lodge from the moment he arrived - which is no wonder because the staff are so welcoming, warm and friendly. They have gone out of their way to help Dad and keep me updated with any changes in his care and medication. The staff are not only interested in Dad, his background
and occupation before he retired, but also in family members and in return I feel like I really know the team. I cannot thank them enough for all that they do.
Reply from Sharon Jerwood, Registered Manager at Croft LodgeThank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your dad settled in well at Croft Lodge and that you have felt supported and kept informed by the team.

I am more than happy with the care my uncle received at Willow House, good communication and updates on my uncle nothing was ever too much and having dementia the staff were well trained to deal with his illness and provide a safe caring environment, there were lots of activities provided and family
invited to fun barbecues, days out in the mini bus and lovely photos taken of their days out to provide memories to loved ones, I would recommend this care home to anyone and the beautiful gardens gave a peaceful place to sit in summer months and watch the birds feeding from the lounge area, I would like to thank all the staff members who looked after my uncle
Reply from Janice Federer, Registered Manager at Willow HouseThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words about the staff and the home, appreciation for the staff always motivates them to continue their hard work and true compassion. The catering team made sure meals where accesible to hime, ie cutting up small & small portions and adjusting what was on offer to his likes & dislikes. All
staff, caring, where kind & worked very hard, in a busy environment. They made me feel very welcome - We became part of the family. Highly recommend.

We have known Joyce for more than 40 years. We feel our annual visits (an 800 mile round trip) to see her are valuable.

We felt a difference in the atmosphere of care on this visit.
Although she was waiting for us in the lounge, Joyce was not appropriately dressed for going out on a chilly morning-

she needed more layers, gloves, a scarf, for example. We had to prompt office staff for her cash.
We noticed a lack of alterness to her visitors' arrival on the following day and when we went to her room she was not dressed.
We felt Joyce would have benefitted from a more engaged handover when we arrived back from our outings. There was a lack of attentiveness to find out what she'd been doing to help her relive her enjoyable outings later.

During our time with Joyce we were very aware that she is, and has, been firghtened by another resident which made her quite agitated.

Reply from Janice Federer, Registered Manager at Willow HouseThank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent visit with Joyce. We recognise how important your visits are to both Joyce and yourselves.

I am sorry to hear that aspects of your experience did not meet the standard of care and attentiveness that I expect. I will discuss your concerns with the staff and we will review your comments to ensure a more attentive and person-centred approach moving forward.

I was also particularly concerned to read your comments regarding Joyce feeling frightened by another resident and the distress this has caused her. Please be assured this matter will be reviewed promptly to ensure Joyce feels safe, supported, and reassured within the home environment.
We value feedback such as yours as it helps us identify areas where we can improve.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you would like to discuss any of your concerns.

I visited my mother Pat on March 14th, a most enjoyable visit. I travelled from Newquay in Cornwall and try to visit once every 3 weeks. Whilst on this visit, I accompanied my mum to lunch, where she ate a sweet and tea, the food is always good here. Mum generally tends not to want to eat much; she
prefers soft food and sweets. I see major refurbishment in progress, being done with due consideration to the residents and staff.
Reply from Ambika Prasad, Registered Manager at Windward HouseThank you so much for your lovely review. It truly means a lot to us that you make such a long journey from Cornwall to visit your mum so regularly-we're really glad to hear that your time together on March 14th was so enjoyable.

It's wonderful to know that your mum enjoyed her lunch and that the food continues to meet your expectations. We always do our best to cater to individual preferences, especially when residents favour lighter or softer options, so it's great to hear this is making a difference for her.

We also appreciate your kind words about the refurbishment. We're working hard to improve the environment while keeping disruption to a minimum, and it's reassuring to know this is being noticed.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience-it means a great deal to the whole team.

When visiting with my Mum to choose a residential home for my father due to his Alzheimer's we felt Willow House was the first home we felt confident he would be safe and happy. The staff have been wonderful in their consistent kindness, patience and thoughtfulness in what is a difficult and generally
undervalued role.
He has always been treated with respect and as an individual. The staff have spent time getting to know the person beneath the dementia, and this effort has meant he never asked to leave, or question why he was there. My sisters and I have always been supported and helped if we had questions about his care. They have been proactive in arranging GP reviews which have been prompt ( The attached GP surgery is excellent).
Janice and James are capable and very effective in their management - always approachable and fully support their team of excellent carers - who are kind and compassionate to their cores.
FIVE STARS

Our family will be forever grateful for the genuine care, respect and compassion shown to my Dad from the first home visit to the final moments of his life. They gave us back the man we loved for two short but invaluable months. The staff made us and him feel like we were all part of a " family "
I wish I had made the decision earlier to entrust my lovely Dad into Windward. I hope the staff and management never underestimate the positive impact they have on residents and their families!
Reply from Tushar Shah, Director at Windward HouseDear Sue,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this and your kind words. It was a real privilege to care for your Dad and to support you and your family through such an important and emotional time. Knowing that you felt he was treated with care, respect and compassion from the very first visit through to his final moments reassures us that we lived up to the standards we set for ourselves.

When you say we gave you back the man you loved, that truly stays with us. Those two months were precious, and if we were able to help create comfort, dignity and meaningful time together, then that is exactly why we do what we do and is a great testimony to our staff and management.

Thank you again for trusting us with your lovely Dad.
