Hours -  0 hours per week, covering holidays and sickness. Shifts between 8am-6pm.

Salary  - £12.60 per hour, paid monthly

Role Summary

Coate Water Care is an experienced care home provider, committed to delivering the highest standards of person centred care to older people in our residential and nursing homes.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join us as a Cook at our Mockley Manor Care Home.

The key responsibilities of our Cook role at Coate Water Care include:

  • Planning of menus to achieve and maintain budgeted food cost
  • To carry out stocktaking and food rotation procedures under the instruction of the head chef
  • To ensure that dishes are produced to the required standards of quality and attractiveness before leaving the kitchen
  • Comply with the statutory regulations concerning food hygiene, COSHH and Health and Safety at work
  • Preparation of food for special functionsDuties:

- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Skills:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
