Deputy Manager
Location - Church View Care & Nursing Home, Rainer Close, Stratton St Margaret, SN3 4YA
Hours - 40 hours per week, 16 hours supernumerary shift, 24 hours on floor shift
Salary - Ranging from £35,000.00 to £42,000.00 per annum based on Experience and Qualifications.
Purpose of Role
- To support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the Homes management, including taking complete charge during the absence of the Registered Manager.
- To train and supervise, Senior Care Staff, Care Assistants and Ancillary staff in all aspects of their work within the Home, so as to maintain the Home’s high standards of care and maintain a homely environment.
- To oversee in the care of the residents' physical environment, and in the general day to day activities of the Home.
A NMC Pin and Nursing experience is preferred, but non nurse candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- To produce the staff duty rota ensuring the Home is covered by the minimum requirement of staff as per registration requirements. To work to minimise any agency usage.
- To work alongside Home Manager to ensure resident of the day and full care plan audits are completed and are actioned.
- To ensure that the personal care needs of residents are met by all staff.
- Oversee and organise new staff induction programs and manage training within the home.
- To support the Home Manager with staff management. Including supervision of staff, appraisals, investigations and disciplinaries.
- To drive quality and profitability in the home. Ensuring all enquiries and admissions are managed both professionally and effectively.
- Check the control and issue of medication for which the Home has taken responsibility and to maintain the necessary records. Work alongside Home Manager to ensure medication audits and analysis are complete and are actioned.
- To support the Home Manager with any safety improvement plans
- To carry out any other duties as instructed by the Registered Manager.
- To adhere strictly to the Policies and Procedures of the Home.
