Location - Ashbury Lodge Care Home, 261 Marlborough Road, Swindon, SN3 1NW

Salary  £14.10 per hour, paid Monthly

Hours  - 35 hours - Flexi hours between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday

The purpose of the role of maintenance is to be a multi-skilled operative who will assist with the daily running of the home by becoming an effective and involved member of the team including carrying out various odd jobs such as performing repairs, maintaining property, performing renovations as and when required and tending to the grounds.

The key responsibilities of our maintenance staff include:

  • You will be a team player
  • Have good organisational skills.
  • Experience of site maintenance and improvement or similar.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Ability to complete basic records of work and expenditure incurred
  • Proven joinery, plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating skills
  • Full driving licence and own transport

The maintenance operative shall have first level responsibility to the home manager at the place of work regarding their day to day duties; particularly ensuring the smooth operation and serviceability of all heating, lighting, plumbing and all services and non-medical equipment required for the safe and efficient operation of the care home, and redecoration programmes.
