About the role
As a Senior Carer at St Benets Court you’ll lead the team on your shift and deliver excellent, person-centred care. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility — you’ll support residents with daily care, assist with medication (following training), mentor junior staff, and contribute to care planning and record-keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the care team on shift; promote best practice.
- Administer medication following training and competency checks.
- Provide high-quality personal care and support mealtimes/hydration.
- Mentor and coach junior staff; complete competency sign-offs.
- Use Carey AI for care plan updates and accurate record keeping.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and infection-control practices.
- Escalate clinical or safeguarding concerns to the appropriate manager.
