Job Description:
Key Purpose
Overseeing the care service, managing daily operations, leading staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care, maintaining compliance with regulations and statutory duties, managing budgets, and acting as the key point of contact for regulators and other stakeholders.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the legal and professional requirements for delivering care.
Key Responsibilities
· Service Oversight:
Manage the day-to-day running of the care service, ensuring high standards of quality and person-centred care delivery.
· Staff Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage the care team through recruitment, training, supervision, and support to ensure safe and effective practice.
· Regulatory Compliance:
Fulfil statutory duties and legal responsibilities, ensuring the service meets the standards set by regulatory bodies like the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England or equivalent bodies elsewhere.
· Financial Management:
Manage budgets and contracts to ensure financial viability and effective resource allocation.
· Quality Assurance:
Monitor and review service delivery, implementing systems to assess and improve the quality of care provided.
· Safeguarding:
Prioritize the safety and well-being of service users, ensuring measures are in place to prevent harm.
· Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary contact for external organisations, including regulators, local authorities, and families.
· Strategic Development:
Make strategic decisions and lead on projects, contributing to the growth and development of the service.
