Facilities & food good.
When my dad first moved into Rusthall Lodge, he was made to feel welcome and encouraged to join in activities. He soon got to know the other residents and staff. My dad liked "a chat", and, however busy the staff were, they shared a few minutes to listen to his services. All the staff that we, as visitors, came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. During the last couple of months, when his health deteriorated, he was looked after with great care and dignity. This was a great comfort to his family. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to provide us with feedback, which I will share with the Team.
My brother was only in the care home overnight as he became unwell the next morning after breakfast and went into hospital. All the staff were very helpful during his brief stay. We would recommend this care home without any hesitation. 1st class!
Four months after leaving RL, my husband continues to tell everyone he meets what a wonderful place it is and how happy he was while here,
Mum has been a resident at Rusthall Lodge for a year. During that time she has had her ups and downs, as would be expected. I can't thank all the staff enough for making so much effort to help her settle in. Not only have they cared for her physical needs but have shown her such unconditional love and attention which is truly genuine. Rusthall Lodge is a very special place with special people in it.
Thank you for taking the time to write the care home a review. It is lovely to hear positive feedback from our residents and their families.
The facilities are exceptional and the place is spotlessly clean. The food is amazing and if there are any problems then they are easily dealt with immediately or can be raised at the residents committee meetings, which are held regularly.
The staff have now become extended family and treat my mother with the love and care she deserves.
As a family we are so happy and relieved that we chose Rusthall Lodge when we were no longer able to care for our mother at home.
Thank you for taking the time to write the care home a review. It is lovely to hear positive feedback from our residents and their families.
- The staff were brilliant - friendly and helpful, flexible and accommodating. Nursing staff knowledgeable.
- I enjoyed the extra touches of nail painting, fresh flowers and tea/coffee at any time.
- For me it was the right balance of help without interference.
Thank you for taking the time to write the care home a review. It is lovely to hear positive feedback from our residents and their families.
Mum is well looked after. The staff are very attentive approachable and friendly. Despite the recent management change, we remain very happy with the level of care.
The staff are very approachable and helpful. They try to accommodate the individual needs. There is a good daily activity programme. A good menu selection. The residents are safe and cared for.
Over the last four months of residence here I have found the home a safe, comfortable and caring environment. Staff have been very pleasant and particularly supportive and caring in dealing with health issues.
The care, love and support shown to my mother, who died in November 2023 and the ongoing support to my step-father is excellent.
My parents have been residents at Rusthall Lodge for over a year now, and the family have all been delighted with the care they receive. They are warm, happy, safe and looked after with care and dignity by all of the staff.
Everything they do is centred on Dad's best interest.
Seeing the same carers week after week has been reassuring as they really get to know the residents, and their likes and dislikes.
Dad has really benefited from being able to sit outside in the beautiful garden. It really raises his spirits.
I am very thankful that Dad is spending his final days in such a safe and caring environment.
I feel confident that my mother-in-law is in safe hands and is being looked after in a manner which befits her age. Moreover she is treated with dignity by a team of experienced caring staff and management. Any issues which are of concern are dealt with promptly. In short, this is a well run establishment, which is more like a country hotel than a care home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is our pleasure to look after your mother-in-law and I will ensure all of our teams are aware of your comments and kind words.
My mum has been living at Rusthall Lodge for 18 months. It is a lovely place and I would recommend it to anyone. The best part of the home is the staff, who are fantastic - friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. They have supported Mum through a very difficult time with her health and have been immensely kind to me too. Mum has her own pictures, curtains and furniture in her room and it feels just like home. Food is wholesome and portions are generous. (The homemade cakes are delicious!) The building is immaculately clean with plenty of facilities and activities from themed parties to hymn singing. There's a well-stocked library, kitchenettes to make your own drinks and several sitting rooms with big TVs, jigsaws and games. The residents are a mixture of ages and health conditions, so the environment is stimulating and Mum has made some close friends. Perhaps most importantly, I know Mum is safe. I trust the team totally and am so glad we found them.
Mum has been a resident since October 2023. She has been treated with nothing but kindness, dignity and love by all members of staff. Her room is lovely and has all that she needs, even down to the personal pictures etc that were put on walls for her. I can rest easy knowing that when I leave after a visit that she is content and happy and all her needs are well catered for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We value all feedback and I will ensure that all teams see your kind comments. It is a pleasure to care for your mum and to know you are reassured by the care we provide.
Very happy with everything.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
From the minute I went in I felt that it was a happy place and well run. I have worked in many homes over the years and I had a good feel about Rusthall Lodge.
Staff all appear very kind and caring to the residents. They are treated with dignity and respect and residents look happy and cared for.
Any issues are dealt with promptly by senior staff who are very approachable.
The lounge areas are clean and bright overlooking a well-kept patio/garden.
Every day there's activities going on. Very varied and something my friend likes to join in with. They have outside entertainers coming in too. Reindeer came at Christmas which my friend loved!
Staff, and I mean all the staff, I've come across have made me feel very welcome and have really helped my friend settle in.
Rusthall Lodge is a happy, well-run home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind comments. I will ensure that the staff team see your review and thank each department.
The care staff are lovely. They really look after the residents and respond quickly to a resident's needs. The residents' rooms are a good size. The day rooms are well equipped with board games, etc. They are light and airy and have direct access to a lovely patio area with tables and chairs and a water feature and pretty gardens with benches. The well-being team are brilliant at encouraging residents to join in a wide variety of daily activities. and gardens. The nursing staff are well qualified, kind and efficient. The dining room is light and airy and often has fresh flowers on the table. The menu has a good choice of meals.
Thank you for your review and kind words it is always wonderful to hear good feedback. I will pass your comments on to all of our staff and departments and thank them for all their hard work.
I had been taking care of my husband for 4 years at home, however, his needs became such that he needed the care only a care home can provide. The experience of other respite facilities gave me serious concerns as to what I could expect. Thankfully, I found Rusthall Lodge, initially for respite. The care and kindness of all staff for both my husband and I was the first thing I found, they were professional and well trained, and there were nurses on hand at all times. My husband is now a resident and I couldn't be more pleased knowing he is in such good hands.
We are very proud of our dedicated nursing and care staff here at Rusthall Lodge and are delighted to hear that you are so happy with the care provided to your husband. Thank you. If there is anything else we can do to help any further, please let us know.
