This enables residents to rise at their own pace and for the trained staff to complete the first round of the day. If travelling from a long distance, it is advised to call before leaving to make sure any unexpected visit does not clash with a prior appointment for the resident being visited.
Parking

It is a real pleasure to perform and share poetry with the wonderfully cared for residents. We encourage everyone to contribute and join in sharing memories, thoughts etc. I joke with them that it has turned into a philosophy group.
Rusthall appears to be comfortable, well organised.
In the limited contact I have (poetry every 3 or 4 weeks), I have found the staff to be caring during the poetry section.
There are a variety of activities to cater for a wide range of tastes.
It is good to know that Dad is being well cared for.
There are organised activities every day, my father-in-law enjoys the art class, bingo and musical entertainment as well as the trips out. His room is a good size and well furnished and he has been able to keep many of his own possessions. The en-suites have a toilet and wash basin but no shower which is the only shortcoming to the accommodation. The reception rooms are informal and welcoming. I have no hesitation in fully recommending the care my father-in-law is receiving from Rusthall Lodge Care Home.
Had a few problems with staff not looking after Mum property but management took on board my concerns and acted accordingly and now several years after. I am very happy with the care that Mum receives.
Rusthall Lodge provides wonderful care in a loving environment. It is a pleasure to visit at any time.
Overall our experience of Rusthall Lodge Care Home has been very good. My mother is well cared for at all times and treated with dignity and respect. She is given opportunities for creative activity in activities (eg art, poetry). The food seems to be varied and of high quality and she certainly looks forward to her meals. It is reassuring that trained medical staff are on hand 24/7. Like most care homes the standard of care and facilities are generally good value for money.
Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.
Extremely good. Don't mind paying as facilities extremely good.
One of the best care homes in the area.
A warm, friendly home, putting the needs of the residents at the top of the list but also considering the families too. My auntie could not be any better cared for.
The family has always been treated courteously by all staff, with all queries being dealt with to the best of their ability.
It is a happy place and my husband is content to be there!
The reception staff at Rusthall Lodge were invariably helpful, welcoming and prepared to deal with any requests if required. Care staff are always helpful and make themselves available as soon as possible when called on. Dad can be difficult but they invariably deal with him as sympathetically as possible. Dad is unable to take part in most of the many activities available but does enjoy the visiting musical entertainers who are of a very high standard. The dining room has a great atmosphere but he is unable to attend at the moment.
My visits are largely unannounced and are about twice weekly. My mother would like to be told of any visits, but I do not wish to commit as I do not wish to disappoint her. This means, of course, that the home has no opportunity to prepare for a visit. Her room is always clean and tidy. She is always 'well presented'.
The kitchen area in the main lounge is appreciated. All queries have been resolved satisfactorily. She opts to have nearly all her meals in her room, but comments that as a result, her meals are often lukewarm.
I have always found the home to be a pleasant, caring place and all residents seem happy and well cared for, with plenty of occupational therapy for everyone if required.
Rusthall Lodge is a very good care home, it is very clean, comfortable, safe and the staff are very caring to all the residents. Also, there is a very good choice of food and always some activities going on.
A nice, light, spacious environment and caring dedicated and professionally qualified staff. The home is well managed and good value for money with charitable status.
