Job summary
Millreed Lodge is a 33 bedroom, cosy, homely, converted Residential Home that serves as a pillar to the community of Todmorden. We are one of the very few care homes in the area and take great pride in our high standards which have been acknowledged in our latest CQC report and with our local authority, Calderdale Borough.
We are now looking for a dynamic and compassionate Care Home Manager to lead our team and continue delivering outstanding care. If you are an experienced manager with a passion for elderly care and leadership, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to all staff, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets all regulatory and quality standards, including CQC guidelines.

Resident Care: Oversee the delivery of person-centred care, ensuring all residents’ needs are met with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Team Management: Manage, support, and develop a motivated team of carers, nurses, and other staff members.

Financial Management: Control the home’s budget and financial performance, ensuring that we provide high-quality care while staying within financial targets.

Family and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents’ families and the local community to ensure a positive reputation and sense of belonging for our residents.

Training and Development: Ensure staff receive appropriate training and development to maintain and improve the quality of care provided.
About You:

Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a similar senior management role within a care setting.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.

In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and the ability to maintain high care standards.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Passion for elderly care and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those in your care.

A full UK driving license would be an advantage (if applicable).
