Home is clean with no offensive smells lingering, staff mostly pleasant and welcoming, bit of an issue with mum's medication varying especially in a morning. Unfortunately mums dietary requirements not met, portions small and of poor quality, quite often burnt. Had no table in room which meant mum had to sit on toilet to wash.

The Millreed Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home. My Mother in law is very happy there. When we visit the staff are always chatty and we feel like its a home from home atmosphere. There is always things to look forward to. They organise events for the residents to look forward to and join in. So a BIG THANK YOU to all the staff.

My mother moved into Millreed Lodge just before Christmas. She has settled well due to the kindness and attentiveness of staff. Nothing has been too much trouble. Mum received a warm welcome as do we and other friends and family when we visit. It helps us to accept the decision for Mum to move out of the family home knowing she is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

Mam could not have had a better home. I visited most days at different times, never saw or heard anything which concerned me about the care for Mam or any other resident. Demanding residents treated calmly and patiently. All residents treated with care and kindness. The building has its challenges as it is a conversion but outweighed by the standard of care. I always felt at home visiting and enjoyed being there. Over the 9 months Mam lived here there was barely any change in staff, which suggests a well-run business and good staff relations. Lots of effort went into events like Bonfire night and Christmas, again staff deserve praise for this. Finally, one huge relief for me was that there was no smell of disinfectant etc. This was one of my worst fears about residential houses.

On behalf of our family, I would to thank all the staff at Millreed Lodge for their kindness and compassion during my Mum's stay there (and sadly her passing). Her room was cosy and spotlessly clean. Her face lit up when she saw staff members and she called them her best friends. It was comforting to know she was being looked after by a wonderful team of carers.

Sadly Mum passed away a week ago. We will be eternally grateful that she was surrounded by such a wonderful caring team on her passing. It was reassuring to know she passed with dignity, love and kindness.

Many thanks to the lovely staff at Millreed Lodge Care Home, Walsden for looking after our mum so well. Thanks to all the residents for welcoming Mum to their home.
We had a lovely family party for Mum's 95th Birthday in a cosy private room the staff decorated for us.
We have been supported throughout Mum's short stay with them.
Our brother managed to secure a placement much nearer to Mum's and our homes.
We are sad we have had to do it this way but we will be able to see Mum more than once a week now.

Thank you to all the staff at Millreed, you looked after our mum and us very well, it's much appreciated.

My mum was in Millreed Lodge for just under two years. The care and attention they give to their residents is second to none. My mum passed away recently and the genuine care and person-centred care was above and beyond in her last days and hours. The personal touches and as a family we appreciate all they did to care for our mum. Thank you all so much.

We visited my sister yesterday. She celebrated her 90th birthday last week. We were unable to come, I know she had a lovely time with family and friends and the staff made it special. As we live in Macclesfield I don’t get to visit very often however when we went yesterday we were provided with coffee, tea and biscuits which was very appreciated. The staff always seem very nice friendly and welcoming. We left knowing my sister is very happy there.

Unfortunately, this review relates to just a few days stay. However, this care home is very clean and the staff were fantastic. We couldn't have wished for a better place. Very caring, considerate and friendly. Even though this stay was cut short, I genuinely found more care was given to my mother-in-law in four days than she had received in hospital in six weeks. I would highly recommend this care home.

Staff are always so friendly, warm and accommodating. During these tough times, they have always gone over and beyond to ensure my gran is happy and that she is able to see her family. The care she receives comes from a caring and warm place. You can see the positive relationships that staff build with their residents. A massive well done. It's so comforting to know that my gran is happy and well looked after.

I'm afraid my review will be rather sparse, owing to the care home being in lockdown for the majority of my wife's stay and only being relaxed early March, but from what I've seen and dealing I have had with all of the staff has been very pleasant and productive.

I feel very relaxed and content to know she's being very well cared for, and she seems happy and content in herself.

I have been able to visit my grandmother after being admitted here in January.
I have it say I can’t fault the place!
From the friendly admin who always greats you on the phone, so welcoming.
The healthcare staff are extremely professional, their enthusiasm is infectious.
My nana absolutely loves it!
From the singing, bingo and indoor games, nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
They are friendly, fun, caring and always so positive.
They welcomed me to visit with such ease and made the whole process so simple in these covid times.
I feel so assured she is receiving the best care here and can’t recommend this care home enough.

I’m so happy we got a place for her here.
