Overall Experience
I would like to say that all the staff who have been looking after my Dad since August 2018 have been lovely and attentive to him. The care home has a wonderful atmosphere even though it is one of the smaller homes in the area. This just means it is more focused on the residents. They have been through a bit of an upheaval whilst Dad has been there with some management changes, and the loss of the nursing staff, however, standards have been kept, and he has been well looked after.
This last week when my Dad passed away; all the staff were super attentive and very compassionate, having always treated him with the utmost dignity, they excelled themselves on Wednesday during his final hours.
Utmost gratitude to all at Millreed for all the loving care and attention they have lavished upon my Dad in his final months.

It is truly appreciated and you will always be in my heart.

Overall Experience
My mum has been at Millreed Lodge for about 2 years now, I used to be an adult general nurse, my wife is a practising General Medical Practitioner (GP) in the local area.
I consider myself fortunate that mum is only 4 miles from where we live, I consider both mum and I doubly fortunate that she is being looked after by the kind staff at Millreed Lodge, who have been attentive, unfailingly friendly and accommodating, but most of all showing respect and care for my mother who has vascular dementia.
Millreed Lodge is a place you can call home, it is cosy, homely, and the right size not to be overwhelming, the food is excellent for my mum who is celiac and they have catered very well for her strict gluten-free diet.

The staff always greet visitors with a smile, they communicate any changes to her care and when I phone they are aware of how mum is fairing on any given day. I would not hesitate to recommend Millreed Lodge.
