The Role:
We are seeking a General Manager (Non-Clinical) to lead and manage all operational aspects of our nursing home. This is a pivotal role for an individual ideally with hospitality or service industry management experience, who can bring creativity, strong leadership, and a passion for excellence to a care environment. The role focuses on ensuring that every aspect of the resident experience, from food, environment, ambience, and services, is consistently outstanding.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily non-clinical operations of the Home (housekeeping, catering, facilities, maintenance, and administration).
• Ensure the Home is maintained to the highest standards of safety, presentation, and resident satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with the Registered Clinical Manager to deliver a seamless resident experience.
• Drive excellence in food services, ambience, and hospitality.
• Lead, motivate, and support staff, fostering teamwork and high morale.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of staff.
• Promote nursing home’s reputation and support occupancy through excellent service delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
• Strong background in hospitality, hotel management, or customer experience leadership.
• Proven ability to manage operations in a complex service setting.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Visionary with a keen eye for detail in environment, service, and presentation.
• Passion for delivering high-quality resident and family experiences.
• Organised, proactive, and able to balance priorities effectively.
