I have found Halden Heights Care Home to offer exceptional care. All surface areas are cleansed on a daily basis and floors swept and hoovered. This is the reason the home always smells fresh and inviting. Nurses and carers remain in the lounge areas with the residents and help is on offer immediately
when it is needed. Nurses regularly check any resident who is diabetic, toileting needs are dealt with immediately, there is no waiting and assistance is always on hand in these areas. I have found all staff to be pleasant & happy and they all offer 1st rate care. There is a first class choice of meals and I feel relaxed that my husband is here.

My mum has been looked after for over 6 weeks now, and I can say the staff are a pleasure to deal with, and so helpful and kind to us all. Can not recommend strongly enough this home.

Halden Heights is so peaceful. The staff are so kind and caring, treating patients and visitors with respect. I am happy to leave my husband in their care since he has been here I sleep so much better and I am so thankful.

Mum is a long-term resident of the care home and has always received the highest standard of care from the friendly and professional staff. They are always on hand to help and nothing is too much trouble. The home is extremely well maintained by the matron who is clearly loved and respected by the staff
and who always has time for talking about mum. Overall, the care mum receives is excellent and we are lucky to have found this care home for mum.

I could not fault the care given to my husband during his stay after a severe stroke. They made sure his final days were happy, he was treated with respect at all time as was I. I thoroughly recommend the home to anyone. First class care!

Halden Heights Nursing Home cared for my husband in his last weeks, throughout the care was professional, caring and kind. He was watched closely and all his needs were attended to and whenever there was a change in his condition, I was told, either personally when I visited or by telephone call. The
atmosphere was always cheerful and the staff even made my husband smile! Halden Heights is an excellent home, I thoroughly recommend it.

Halden Heights Nursing Home is an exceptional Care Home. The warmth and care expressed by all members of the team makes you feel welcome and reassured. The atmosphere is that of kindness understanding smiles and love with professionalism and respect for everyone living there.
I am a retired nurse
with 40 plus years experience and have encountered many care and nursing homes during my working life and I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Halden Heights as an option for anyone requiring additional support later in life where their quality of life will be enhanced and enjoyed.

The care home has wonderful staff who are kind and considerate. My mother was comfortable and treated with respect. They kept us well informed and were exemplary when my mother was dying. The home was always clean and fresh when we visited.

My mother lived at Halden Heights for 20 months. She had vascular dementia and was always treated with kindness, respect and dignity. I can't fault the care she was given.
We were always informed promptly of any issues and updated regularly. Special thanks to the staff on Daisy Floor. They are very
special people.

My father commenced living at the home after several falls and an end of life diagnosis. Although it was a mentally difficult time for him, he and I appreciated the kindness, professionalism and attention that he received from all of the staff. During the last difficult days, he was able to maintain
his dignity and at the same time be given the help that he needed in a way that met his own personal needs.
From the moment my father entered the nursing home to when he passed away, I can honestly say that all of the staff were helpful, kind and patient. If my father had remained in the community, I do not think that I would have been able to provide him with that level of care even with help from external agencies. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for my father and I know that he was grateful also, although not able to fully communicate this at the end.

This is a wonderful care home and was where our Dad spent his final years, in safety and comfort, as a dementia patient/resident. From day one, the manager and the team made Dad at home, feel loved and protected. They are a truly special team who clearly form bonds with the residents, which carries
over into their dutiful, attentive and loving care. We also want to give thanks to the owners who have continued to invest in the facility, and in particular the gardens and grounds. Spectacular in the summertime. I would highly recommend Halden Heights to anybody.

In my experience, all staff are friednly, respectful and caring to residents/visitors. Any issues being dealt with speedily. However, if there is one concern I have, it would be staffing levels at the weekend! I appreciate that organising weekend rotas is not an easy task especially when holidays and
sickness come into the mix.
I would point out that this is a personal observation, but one I hope is not overlooked.

We were very pleased with the care that our relative received at Halden Heights. He was admitted following palliative care at Hospital and he received excellent care at Halden Heights until he passed. Staff were attentive and helpful. As we live a distance away, it was very important to us that our
relative was safe and well looked after. We found this to be the case at Halden Heights and we are grateful to all involved in looking after our loved one. The manager was always very responsive to our requests and even responded to emails during the evening which we appreciated. In summary, Halden Heights appears to be very well run and managed, with staff who seem to take genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of the residents.

Starting her career in the NHS as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, and Deputy Ward Manager, Daisy specialized in Trauma and Orthopaedics as well as Elderly Care.


In 2009, she completed her Leadership training and workshop with flying colours and helped develop the hospital as the first Orthopaedic Practice Development unit in the private sector. Later, in December 2011, she joined the newly opened Halden Heights Care Community as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Manager, where she worked closely with various multidisciplinary agencies to manage the Health and Social Care Village unit in the Nursing home. This was a pilot study of the EKHUFT to support patients who require rehabilitation and assessment of their health and social needs before discharge home. Daisy is incredibly passionate about her role in rehabilitating patients and ensuring the provision of exceptional care at all times.


In her free time, Daisy enjoys having her family around and singing, often heard around the home. Her vision for Halden Heights is to continue providing the best possible service with a caring and compassionate approach, ensuring that the staff are trained and equipped to meet the needs of our clientele. Effective communication throughout the home, along with an open-door policy with everyone, is essential to her.
