This is a wonderful care home and was where our Dad spent his final years, in safety and comfort, as a dementia patient/resident. From day one, the manager and the team made Dad at home, feel loved and protected. They are a truly special team who clearly form bonds with the residents, which carries
over into their dutiful, attentive and loving care. We also want to give thanks to the owners who have continued to invest in the facility, and in particular the gardens and grounds. Spectacular in the summertime. I would highly recommend Halden Heights to anybody.

In my experience, all staff are friednly, respectful and caring to residents/visitors. Any issues being dealt with speedily. However, if there is one concern I have, it would be staffing levels at the weekend! I appreciate that organising weekend rotas is not an easy task especially when holidays and
sickness come into the mix.
I would point out that this is a personal observation, but one I hope is not overlooked.

We were very pleased with the care that our relative received at Halden Heights. He was admitted following palliative care at Hospital and he received excellent care at Halden Heights until he passed. Staff were attentive and helpful. As we live a distance away, it was very important to us that our
relative was safe and well looked after. We found this to be the case at Halden Heights and we are grateful to all involved in looking after our loved one. The manager was always very responsive to our requests and even responded to emails during the evening which we appreciated. In summary, Halden Heights appears to be very well run and managed, with staff who seem to take genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of the residents.

My Mum has been a resident of Halden Heights for the last 4 years. Over this time she has been well looked after by kind and considerate staff who all go the extra mile to make sure the residents are safe and comfortable. Furthermore, as a family, we feel that the staff also looked after us and have
shown us all a great deal of kindness. The dedication, care and respect they have shown to our Mum in the last few years of her life has been quite amazing and we cannot thank them enough for this.
We would highly recommend Halden Heights and are very grateful to all the staff there.

My husband went for 2 weeks into Halden Heights he and l cannot speak highly enough of them.
Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were so kind and caring and he was looked after royally. l would never look anywhere else if l needed respite care again. The room and gardens were beautiful. Thank

My father was confused and reluctant to leave his own home when he first came to Halden Heights. Within a week or so he had settled in happily. This was very much the result of the really excellent care he received. His carers/nurses were of course professional but they went far beyond that, making
him feel that they really cared about him and showing him affection. I and my family also felt welcome and supported when we were here.

My father spent 3 weeks in Halden Heights where he was looked after with such care and kindness by all the staff there. He was at end of life, was pain-free and he was given his dignity. The nurses were always on hand, the most lovely team of helpers, cleaners, people handling out the lunch trolley
etc. They were all managed by the amazing manager. Everyone could not have been more kind or sympathetic. Thank you.

After looking at three other care homes, Halden Heights came as a breath of fresh air.
My sister-in-law was transferred from a hospice, where she received excellent care to Halden Heights where excellent care continued. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in caring for her and looking after
us whenever we visited.

An excellent care home. Both my parents were cared for here from September 2020 (my dad died in October 2020) and from then, until June 26th 2024 for my mother. Through Covid and very difficult dementia, the staff always went above and beyond their duty. They kept me informed of any issues, looked after
my mum with humour, love and kindness and treated all my family with understanding. Thank you, Halden Heights for caring until the end. I hope to keep in touch with the staff as they become my friends also.

Generally a good experience.
Most of the care was excellent and staff were friendly and approachable. Can be a bit noisy - sound came a long way under the glass door. Particularly difficult that we all go to bed at 6-7pm!
Would have liked a bigger mirror in my room.
Food was very good mostly but
would like to have more green leafy vegetables.
Laundry service was impressive. Quick turnaround and staff very helpful if things went missing.
Nurses/carers very helpful with my medication.

My husband was in Halden Heights for 8 weeks prior to his passing away. He received excellent care, his room was delightful, and the staff was very considerate to both me, my husband, and visitors. They made us feel at home. The manager in particular was very welcoming and always made herself available.

I could not wish for a more professional, kindly and caring home for my dear wife.
Halden Heights always seems to go the "extra steps" to help and care for their residents. The staff are all friendly and have a lovely "informed" way when talking with the residents. There is always a good choice of
food, interesting and well prepared.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

An exceptional modern well, maintained care home. The manager is very professional, dynamic, disciplined, charismatic, and caring individual. Modern equipment and living/activities areas. An extremely excellent environment with extensive grounds in a very peaceful area. Food is varied and very well
presented on the plates and good room service and caring.
Weather appropriate? but a small exercise room and equipment with physio for respite surgery patients?

Daisy Delgado

Meet our esteemed manager, Daisy Delgado. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Philippines and is a qualified overseas nurse who gained professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in 2001. Starting her career in the NHS as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, and Deputy Ward Manager, Daisy specialized in Trauma and Orthopaedics as well as Elderly Care.


In 2009, she completed her Leadership training and workshop with flying colours and helped develop the hospital as the first Orthopaedic Practice Development unit in the private sector. Later, in December 2011, she joined the newly opened Halden Heights Care Community as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Manager, where she worked closely with various multidisciplinary agencies to manage the Health and Social Care Village unit in the Nursing home. This was a pilot study of the EKHUFT to support patients who require rehabilitation and assessment of their health and social needs before discharge home. Daisy is incredibly passionate about her role in rehabilitating patients and ensuring the provision of exceptional care at all times.


In her free time, Daisy enjoys having her family around and singing, often heard around the home. Her vision for Halden Heights is to continue providing the best possible service with a caring and compassionate approach, ensuring that the staff are trained and equipped to meet the needs of our clientele. Effective communication throughout the home, along with an open-door policy with everyone, is essential to her.
