Generally a good experience.
Most of the care was excellent and staff were friendly and approachable. Can be a bit noisy - sound came a long way under the glass door. Particularly difficult that we all go to bed at 6-7pm!
Would have liked a bigger mirror in my room.
Food was very good mostly but
would like to have more green leafy vegetables.
Laundry service was impressive. Quick turnaround and staff very helpful if things went missing.
Nurses/carers very helpful with my medication.

My husband was in Halden Heights for 8 weeks prior to his passing away. He received excellent care, his room was delightful, and the staff was very considerate to both me, my husband, and visitors. They made us feel at home. The manager in particular was very welcoming and always made herself available.

I could not wish for a more professional, kindly and caring home for my dear wife.
Halden Heights always seems to go the "extra steps" to help and care for their residents. The staff are all friendly and have a lovely "informed" way when talking with the residents. There is always a good choice of
food, interesting and well prepared.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

All staff have exceptional care at all times within 24 hours of moving in from the hospital, I felt 100% better. The atmosphere was very calm, with good food and attentive staff, who wanted to get to know my likes and dislikes, which really helped. Made to feel very special on my birthday and had Christmas.
Dhame hoist for me bath on my floor was not fixed in the six months I was here.
But cannot praise all staff for their care.

My brother was moved from hospital to Halden Heights end of November 2022 (89 years old) and was thought to have only two weeks to live. He died on November 9th 2023.
From day one, I knew I had made the right choice:- Halden Heights Care Community is beautifully clean, well run, with well-trained
staff who are very welcoming with a smile. They show sympathy and great care. My brother was 89 (May 2022) on the date of admission which was the 26th November 2022.
I felt I had become 'one of the family' with staff who looked after me and my brother, offering me support and encouragement always. There were always competent staff around should I be concerned about anything.
A huge thank you Halden Heights Care community to the reception, caterers, cleaners, helpers, carers, nurses and right through to the exceptional lady at the top.

I feel peace of mind having my mum cared for at Halden Heights. The staff treat and look after her needs. They are also very thoughtful and respectful to those that visit friends or family. The staff come over as very caring, although I imagine it to be a very challenging job. The staff are always very

My husband spent six weeks at Halden Heights Care Community convalescing from a bout of extreme ill health.
He was wonderfully cared for, with a delightful room opening onto the gardens. It was spotlessly clean at all times.
The food was excellent, if somewhat early.
My only criticism. I would
like to see the care staff wearing a form of identification, to help the residents know who they are.

Daisy

Daisy Delgado

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2011

Meet our esteemed manager, Daisy Delgado. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Philippines and is a qualified overseas nurse who gained professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in 2001. Starting her career in the NHS as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, and Deputy Ward Manager, Daisy specialized in Trauma and Orthopaedics as well as Elderly Care.


In 2009, she completed her Leadership training and workshop with flying colours and helped develop the hospital as the first Orthopaedic Practice Development unit in the private sector. Later, in December 2011, she joined the newly opened Halden Heights Care Community as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Manager, where she worked closely with various multidisciplinary agencies to manage the Health and Social Care Village unit in the Nursing home. This was a pilot study of the EKHUFT to support patients who require rehabilitation and assessment of their health and social needs before discharge home. Daisy is incredibly passionate about her role in rehabilitating patients and ensuring the provision of exceptional care at all times.


In her free time, Daisy enjoys having her family around and singing, often heard around the home. Her vision for Halden Heights is to continue providing the best possible service with a caring and compassionate approach, ensuring that the staff are trained and equipped to meet the needs of our clientele. Effective communication throughout the home, along with an open-door policy with everyone, is essential to her.
