Halden Heights Nursing Home

I spent ten weeks in the home recovering from a spinal injury. The care was excellent, I was given everything I needed, and the supervision was very thorough. The staff were kind and very professional. This is a first class care home and I recommend it.

I have found Halden Heights Care Home to offer exceptional care. All surface areas are cleansed on a daily basis and floors swept and hoovered. This is the reason the home always smells fresh and inviting. Nurses and carers remain in the lounge areas with the residents and help is on offer immediately when it is needed. Nurses regularly check any resident who is diabetic, toileting needs are dealt with immediately, there is no waiting and assistance is always on hand in these areas. I have found all staff to be pleasant & happy and they all offer 1st rate care. There is a first class choice of meals and I feel relaxed that my husband is here.

My mum has been looked after for over 6 weeks now, and I can say the staff are a pleasure to deal with, and so helpful and kind to us all. Can not recommend strongly enough this home.

Halden Heights have been very satisfactory in caring for my husband. Very clean premises. Food is very good. Attention to detail is excellent and management cannot be faulted.

Mum is a long-term resident of the care home and has always received the highest standard of care from the friendly and professional staff. They are always on hand to help and nothing is too much trouble. The home is extremely well maintained by the matron who is clearly loved and respected by the staff and who always has time for talking about mum. Overall, the care mum receives is excellent and we are lucky to have found this care home for mum.

I could not fault the care given to my husband during his stay after a severe stroke. They made sure his final days were happy, he was treated with respect at all time as was I. I thoroughly recommend the home to anyone. First class care!

I am a retired nurse with 40 plus years experience and have encountered many care and nursing homes during my working life and I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Halden Heights as an option for anyone requiring additional support later in life where their quality of life will be enhanced and enjoyed.

The care home has wonderful staff who are kind and considerate. My mother was comfortable and treated with respect. They kept us well informed and were exemplary when my mother was dying. The home was always clean and fresh when we visited.

This care home is second to none. The staff are so caring and loving, could not have wished my lovely husband to be in better hands. Thank you each and every one of you and God bless you.

From the moment my father entered the nursing home to when he passed away, I can honestly say that all of the staff were helpful, kind and patient. If my father had remained in the community, I do not think that I would have been able to provide him with that level of care even with help from external agencies. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for my father and I know that he was grateful also, although not able to fully communicate this at the end.

The care and compassion was absolutely amazing. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They made my husband's journey peaceful, pain-free and a wonderful experience in spite of his challenging condition.

This is a wonderful care home and was where our Dad spent his final years, in safety and comfort, as a dementia patient/resident. From day one, the manager and the team made Dad at home, feel loved and protected. They are a truly special team who clearly form bonds with the residents, which carries over into their dutiful, attentive and loving care. We also want to give thanks to the owners who have continued to invest in the facility, and in particular the gardens and grounds. Spectacular in the summertime. I would highly recommend Halden Heights to anybody.

I would point out that this is a personal observation, but one I hope is not overlooked.

We were very pleased with the care that our relative received at Halden Heights. He was admitted following palliative care at Hospital and he received excellent care at Halden Heights until he passed. Staff were attentive and helpful. As we live a distance away, it was very important to us that our relative was safe and well looked after. We found this to be the case at Halden Heights and we are grateful to all involved in looking after our loved one. The manager was always very responsive to our requests and even responded to emails during the evening which we appreciated. In summary, Halden Heights appears to be very well run and managed, with staff who seem to take genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of the residents.

The care our lovely mum received at Halden Heights was absolutely amazing. All the staff are excellent and treated our mum with kindness, respect and compassion. As a family, we are so grateful to this wonderful care home. In her last days, not only were they caring for our mum, but also for us. Thank you Halden Heights for everything.
