Fantastic care home for my father. Staff are really caring and nothing was too much trouble. I live 3 hours away from the home and received regular and helpful updates from management and her staff.
Sadly, my father passed away due to his condition and the home dealt with him with great dignity. Caring
to the end. What more could you want for your loved ones.

The care I received at Halden Heights Care Community was second to none. All levels of staff were cheerful, polite and caring. The levels of cleanliness were to a very high standard. The food was well-cooked and tasty. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Halden Heights Care Community
to anyone. One small suggestion - when getting the food orders would it be possible to include breakfast as it seemed what you ordered on day one was repeated.

When I arrived I was greeted with warmth and kindness. Soon settled into a comfy bed with something to eat and drink.
Very pleasant rooms, everywhere spotless. Nursing staff are efficient, careful and so kind.
The choice of meals was good and varied. Everyone was so kind meaning I was able to spend
time with my husband.
Thank you everyone for helping along the road to recovery.

The day I came into Halden Heights Care Community, the welcome was with a smile and I felt at home. They all have been kindness itself all the time, as I was non-weight bearing and they had to dress and undress me in part and other things they were so patient. I have enjoyed my staff here, apart from

I cannot being to tell you how wonderful Halden Heights Care Community people are. I came here following a serious accident resulting in several broken bones and unable to do even the most basic personal care. Throughout, I have been given professional care and treated with the utmost dignity. The staff
are so kindhearted and supportive. I could not have faced and coped with my injuries without them.

I have found the care here excellent. Recovering from a big operation I have needed a lot of help. I have found people sensitive and encouraging as I gradually become able to do things for myself. It was exactly the support I needed and I would happily recommend Halden Heights to anyone needing to convalesce.

After my mum suffered a fall in December and fractured her ankle, she was transferred to Halden Heights for rehab on Christmas Day and finally left yesterday. My family and I cannot praise the team there enough from the manager, the nurses, physios, care assistants and the cleaners. Every one of them
showed care and compassion to not only her, but my dad too when he visited and to me and my siblings as we live in London. They kept us updated and really looked out for her especially when she had to isolate for the first four days being there. We cannot express our gratitude enough. Nothing is ever too much and it is always done with a smile and such empathy. Thank you all so much.

I have nothing but praise for the way the whole team cared for my mum on her recent rehabilitation/respite stay. Everyone was so kind and caring and I felt totally comfortable with her being there. I couldn't have wished for better care for my mother, who was at Halden Heights for ten months with severe Parkinsons and various other medical conditions. The care she received was extremely professional, efficient and compassionate throughout. The staff always knew exactly what she needed and were
always on hand for whatever Mum wanted. Mum's outlook was severely limited by her condition but all the staff always treated her with kindness and dignity, providing her with care as well as good company. I was always updated with news of any change in Mum's condition or outlook and could call or visit when I wanted. The place was always spotless and tidy.
Despite her terrible illness, Mum was happy at Halden Heights and I am so very grateful to all the staff for making her last months as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

My father was with you for five months before he passed away in your care. The compassion and care shown to him were exemplary, as was the consideration shown to his wife and family on their almost daily visits to him. As a family, we are immensely grateful to the staff for all they did for him.

My wife was transferred by the NHS, following a fracture of her neck of femur and clavicle. The latter were operated on at hospital. My wife stayed at Halden Heights Care Community for a period of four weeks. I have nothing but praise for the staff, the facilities and the care received.
The overall
care was efficient, communicated regularly and exercised compassion throughout. I have no adverse comments to make.

My mother first went to Halden Heights Care Community as a rehabilitation patient. She received excellent care and stayed there as a resident until she died. The care and dedication of the staff cannot befaulted. They are a fantastic team who really do care. Thank you.

My mum has just spent three weeks in Halden Heights following a three week stay in hospital. She has received excellent care during this time and the staff are all lovely. She has been given nutritious food and from being hardly able to walk after the hospital stay, she progressed to walking to and
from the lounge with encouragement.

I came to Halden Heights Care Community for my rehab time. I was so pleased with the home and also all staff. Any small problems we have are soon taken care of at that same time.
The food here is so good for you as we have fresh vegetables with all our meals. I have been in other rehabs because I
have a balance problem - hence lots of broken bones. etc

Although a long way from home I have been extremely happy at Halden Heights as their restorative treatment has worked for me and I go home on Thursday 20th august 2022. The staff are so caring and kind and although extremely busy are also happy and sing.
I have many food intolerances (coeliac and
also dairy intolerant) and the home do their very best to ensure I have gluten/dairy free meals to build me up and am putting on weight. and have an appetite now (I had lost five stone this year due to underlying illness) More choices on the menu for those with special dietary needs would be most helpful.

I have been well looked after during my time here as a rehab patient. The staff are caring and courteous. My only reservation is lack of choice for vegetarians like myself. too many salads rather than hot vegetable dishes but the food is fresh and healthy. The physiotherapists are especially commendable
and supportive in their rehab programme.

Daisy Delgado

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2011

Meet our esteemed manager, Daisy Delgado. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Philippines and is a qualified overseas nurse who gained professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in 2001. Starting her career in the NHS as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, and Deputy Ward Manager, Daisy specialized in Trauma and Orthopaedics as well as Elderly Care.


In 2009, she completed her Leadership training and workshop with flying colours and helped develop the hospital as the first Orthopaedic Practice Development unit in the private sector. Later, in December 2011, she joined the newly opened Halden Heights Care Community as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Manager, where she worked closely with various multidisciplinary agencies to manage the Health and Social Care Village unit in the Nursing home. This was a pilot study of the EKHUFT to support patients who require rehabilitation and assessment of their health and social needs before discharge home. Daisy is incredibly passionate about her role in rehabilitating patients and ensuring the provision of exceptional care at all times.


In her free time, Daisy enjoys having her family around and singing, often heard around the home. Her vision for Halden Heights is to continue providing the best possible service with a caring and compassionate approach, ensuring that the staff are trained and equipped to meet the needs of our clientele. Effective communication throughout the home, along with an open-door policy with everyone, is essential to her.
