About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Care Home Manager to lead this luxury property in Bedford, Bedfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to oversee daily operations and drive excellence in care.
As Care Home Manager, you will ensure the home delivers high-quality care and support to residents, meets financial targets, and achieves full occupancy. You will be a strong leadership team player, demonstrating leading qualities to support and motivate the staff. CQC registration and knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations are essential.
You will be supported by our in-house Clinical Lead, Administrator, Hospitality, and Housekeeping teams, alongside guidance from Operations and Central teams, to maintain smooth operations and exceptional standards of care.

bedrooms and expansive communal living spaces, all designed to promote
resident wellbeing. Situated on the picturesque Shakespeare Road, with
easy access to the Midlands, the home provides a tranquil oasis for
those seeking luxury and comfort.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Key duties and responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the home’s staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and empathy.
- Ensure that the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain excellent standards of care and support.
- Manage the home’s budget, ensuring that financial targets are met and costs are effectively managed.
- Develop and implement a well-thought-out marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home’s services to potential residents, families, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns.
Skills and attributes
- Previous experience of managing a nursing home.
- A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership credentials.
- Commercially astute with an eye for occupancy and growth opportunities.

Preferably NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).
