Sharston House Nursing Home

Excellent Care at Sharston House Nursing Home.
Our mother was resident at Sharston House for over a year. Despite having advanced Parkinson's disease with difficult to manage symptoms and a complicated medication regime, the staff at Sharston House were positive in their approach, and their compassion
and understanding of what our mother was going through surpassed our best expectations. During the time leading up to and during palliative care they were understanding of our need for feedback and welcomed our frequent family visits. Nothing seemed too much despite their busy schedules. Mum really felt at home and loved during her stay and that is tantamount to the personal care she received. We as daughters had the assurance that not just her health needs were being met, but that she was being looked after with genuine kindness, consideration and affection. Thank you to Bindhu and all her care team. I have no hesitation to recommend you to others looking for care for a loved on

When watching this amazing building go up I never imagined I would be walking inside to visit a dear friend. Never have I experienced such a friendly, homely and safe environment. (Previous experience of care homes my Grandmother was resident were awful in comparison)
A member of staff helped with signing
me in after confirming my identity (I was very impressed with that as I could have been anyone) and then showing me to a gorgeous seating. Not only was I offered tea or coffee but cake and or biscuits, wow. I was made to feel really welcome and I was only a visiter.
The atmosphere was so homely it was like walking into a friend's house. It was no wonder my dear friend was happy being there. All the staff spoke to residents like they were friends or relatives, also comforting when your loved ones are there. I still visit for activities and fund raising events where residents enjoy taking part

I just wanted to share how truly impressed I am with everything at your care home. The management team is outstanding, approachable, dedicated, and genuinely invested in creating the best possible environment for residents. The staff are equally incredible, treating every person in their care with patience,
dignity, and such genuine warmth.

The home itself is absolutely stunning, but what makes it exceptional is the atmosphere your team creates. There is such a homely, welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. The events, activities, and thoughtful touches you all arrange go so far beyond basic care: they bring joy, connection, and meaning to every day.

As a nurse myself, I recognise real skill and compassion when I see it. The level of professionalism, heart, and teamwork here is a true credit to the nursing profession. Yes, the facilities are beautiful, but it's the beautiful people behind the care who make this home extraordinary.

Sharston House Nursing Home

My Mum spent 15 months living at Sharston House. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the care, love and compassion she received.
Every staff member took time to get to know her - her likes, her little routines, and the things that made her smile. Even as her Parkinson's progressed and her
needs became increasingly complex, they adapted, constantly striving to increase the regularity of her Consultant visits and ensuring the local G.P. visited her regularly.
During Mum's final days, the tenderness and dignity they gave her meant the world to us. They made sure she was never in pain and not left alone unless a family member was visiting.
The standards of Nursing are exemplary - which ensured Mum could remain at Sharston as per her wishes to her last days (rather than moving to a hospice or hospital).
She was surrounded by calm and kindness.
I am so heartbroken to lose my gorgeous Mum, but I will forever be grateful that she spent her last year in such loving hands

My mum was only in for a short while for pallative care, but in that short time her, myself and my family had a great relationship with all the staff. They were all super friendly, caring, professional and knowledgeable. Treated my mum with great care, dignity and empathy. I was worried at first about
putting my dear mum into a nursing home, but from the minute we walked in with her all my fears and worries went away. I would highly recommend Buckingham Lodge, Watton to anyone in the same difficult situation

All to often one hears negative stories about care homes, so when
my 95 year-old father moved into Branksome Heights we were naturally anxious and concerned about how he would settle. From the very beginning, the kindness and warmth shown by everyone there put our minds at ease. The staff didn't just
look after him, they cared for him with genuine concern for his wellbeing, this level of care was also extended to as a family.
They took the time to get to know him, to listen to his stories, and to make sure he was comfortable and content every single day. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
The respect, patience, and gentleness that was shown to my father gave us peace of mind. We will always be deeply grateful for the love and dignity they gave him in his final months.
Thank you to the entire team at Branksome Heights, you made such a difference to our father's life, and to ours.
With sincere gratitude

Yesterday, all the staff at Sharston House excelled, yet again! As a celebration of Diwali, residents and visitors were entertained by joyous music and dance by the staff. They were dressed in beautiful traditional finery and created an aura of cheer and delight. We were then treated to a delicious
buffet of savoury and sweet cuisine made by the staff themselves. The lounge was decorated in a riot of colour plus tea lights to enhance the occasion. A truly uplifting celebration. Many thanks to the staff for all your hard work.

My father took a few days to settle down, but once he had, he enjoyed being in the nursing home. The staff were excellent and always happy to answer phone calls, and took my father out for a walk on a couple of occasions.

he will definitely be going to Highcliffe.

Friendly, welcoming, kind and empathetic whilst being subtly aware and efficiently taking care of residents' and visitors' needs and preferences. Nothing
