Redwalls Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dear wife was resident in Redwalls for a period of four weeks, having transferred from Hospice care. She occupied a beautiful en-suite room overlooking the lovely gardens. She received all the care and attention I could possibly have wished for. All the staff were exceptionally caring and met all
my wife's needs. I was able to share meals with her every day and the facilities (including her hairdressing!) were all readily available. I was particularly thankful for the times we were able to sit together (her in a wheelchair) in the garden...when the sun shone! The staff even facilitated a visit (again in her wheelchair) to the little chapel along the road. It was there that we shared our last worship together. She died peacefully and I give thanks for our final precious days together.
Reply from Redwalls Manager, Home Manager at Redwalls Nursing HomeDear Mike,
Thank you for such lovely comments - It was our privilege to care for your wife.

Since my father has become a resident, he has been cared for by empathetic and professional staff. I have witnessed them making him feel valued as a human and not just some old man in his final stages of life. As a dementia sufferer, he can be unpredictable. The staff are always patient with him. Reception
staff are always welcoming and attentive.
Reply from Sarah Blackburn, Home Manager at Kirkley Manor Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. It means a great deal to us to know that your father feels valued, cared for, and respected by our team.

Supporting residents with dignity, compassion, and patience is at the heart of what we do, and your comments are truly appreciated by all of our staff. We are especially pleased to hear that both our care and reception teams have helped create a welcoming and supportive environment for you and your father.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Buckingham Lodge Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother in law was transferred from Norfolk, Norwich hospital to Buckingham Lodge in February 2026, where she was cared for until she passed away on the 26th April 2026. Nurses and carers supported and treated my mother in law with empathy, dignity and compassion. They delivered above and beyond in
their roles.
Buckingham Lodge has had its own problems in the passed but as a family, relatives couldn't fault it at all. It was nothing for the staff to fulfil our needs with questions and answers. Well done to you all, manager, nurses and carers. Keep up the good work.
A massive thank you!
Reply from Bethany Dawson, Home Manager at Buckingham Lodge Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We are truly grateful to have been able to support your mother-in-law and your family during this time.

Warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean, Branksome Heights hugely exceeded all my expectations when Mum checked in for respite care. Without exception, all Staff are genuinely helpful and kind, providing top class personal care and medical intervention. With comfortable private accommodations, light,
airy and homely public spaces, extensive and varied daily activities and delicious, beautifully presented daily menus this facility provides a true "home from home" experience

My mum did not know what to expect during her 3-week respite care stay. However she was delighted with the overall experience. The staff were fantastic, warm, friendly and could not do enough for my mum. The food was excellent, as were all the activities over the three weeks. Mum managed to get her
hair cut as well, which we all thought took years off her and which she was very pleased with. She was also able to go to church during her stay, which was very important to her over the Easter weekend. Overall a fantastic experience and can't wait to come back.
Reply from Redwalls Manager, Home Manager at Redwalls Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback. I will ensure they all the staff are made aware. It was lovely to provide care to mum and we can't wait for her to return.
Kind Regards

My mother moved into Sycamore Heights in the middle of March. Even though she's only lived there a month, she has settled in so quickly. All the staff are very welcoming, approachable and have helped out in every way that we have asked. The food staff have been very accommodating for individually adapting
the meals to suit my mother's preferences. My mother is very happy living there and we are delighted with the homely feel of the care home.
Reply from Vivian Vuchemtigah, Operations Manager at Sycamore Heights Nursing HomeThank you so much for your lovely feedback. Were delighted to hear that your mother has settled into life at Sycamore Heights so quickly and is feeling happy and comfortable in her new home.
Its wonderful to know that our team has been welcoming, approachable, and supportive during this important transition, and that the kitchen staff have been able to accommodate your mothers individual preferences. Creating a warm, homely environment where residents feel valued and cared for is incredibly important to us.

This review is very long overdue! What can I say : the staff are exceptional, friendly, entertaining and caring. Not only have they selflessly cared for my mum for almost 3 years, they have also supported me through some hard times. They feel like my extended family to be honest. My mum loves music
and whenever there is live music on , she can be found tapping her feet with a huge grin on her face. Her smile has become famous amongst the staff. The huge renovation and extensions are just fabulous and the gardens are wonderful, allowing nature to take its own course. I feel so very blessed that we chose the right home for my dear mum. Trips to garden centres and the Nothe Gardens were very memorable. Thanks guys x

It is difficult to overstate how incredibly impressive was the care and support given to my wife during her three week respite care stay. The staff from the manager downwards were beyond amazing. It was not just the quality of the care that was provided but the clear affection everyone displayed to
my wife. My wife has multiple medical issues and the nursing support she received was superb.

The home has become much more welcoming and homely than it was, mainly because of the wonderful staff, in particular the activities team. One lady in this dedicated team, who has been a great help to my mother over the past two years goes above and beyond to do all she can for the residents to make
their lives more fulfilled. Hardworking and very conscientious. She is a great asset to the home. All the staff are a pleasure to know.
