I can't speak too highly of the way the staff look after the residents. I have spent quite a number of hours in the home since September 2025 so familiar with the practices. Respect and care are top of the agenda and the facilities first class.
Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you Tony for the amazing review. Your Wife has been with us for some time now and seems she has settled in well. It is lovely to see her enjoying the Caf area each day. It is a comfort to see your Wife settled in the home.
Thank you again.

My dear friend was welcomed to Four Oaks after living alone with carers calling four times a day. From the day she arrived she was treated with respect and given such a warm welcome. In her own words 'it totally changed my life'. She had always been a smiler but her smile began to be her 'trademark'.
She would light up the room.

Unfortunately she passed away on 1 November 2025. The nursing staff worked tirelessley to revive her but it was her time to 'go'. The impact she had on everyone was so evident as I saw the love coming from everyone who was on duty that day.

Her last few weeks had been some of the best she had had in years.

I'd like to thank everyone who came into contact with her for the care, respect and admiration you gave her.

I would recommend Four Oaks to anyone who is considering short or long term care for their loved ones.

Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeFrom the bottom of our hearts, we are truly sorry for your loss of your good friend. The staff often spoke about her and got to know her well, including her close bond with you. She was a poorly woman but had your support throughout. Although we should be saying thank you for the review, what we truly mean is thank you for being there for your friend to the end.

Four Oaks manager to combine excellent care with a homely, caring atmosphere.
All the staff are warm, caring and friendly.
The nursing care is of a very high standard, and I am confident my dad's receiving the best care possible.
Thanks to all at Four Oaks.

I know your Father is reasonably new to our family but staff have taken him under their wing as one of our own. If there is anything we can do to support then please let me know.

This care home is a truly lovely, warm, and caring place. The caregivers go above and beyond every day and are genuinely some of the best you could hope for. They treat residents with kindness, respect, and compassion, and it's clear they really care about the people they look after. Knowing my mum
is in such a supportive and nurturing environment gives our family great peace of mind. I couldn't recommend this care home highly enough.
Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you for the fantastic review, this is truly appreciated. I cannot fault the care my mum receives at Four Oaks. All the staff are super efficient and friendly - this includes reception, the activity team, domestic staff as well as the excellent carers and nurses. Everybody in the building takes the trouble to stop and say hello to mum even the chef this week.
The activity team do everything they can to include my mum and other residents even when it is difficult for them to fully participate. My mum always has a smile on her face because of this - thank you for your dedication
Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you so much for the lovely review, the staff will be delighted on your comments. The team have expressed how happy Mum seems, especially during her night routine she will often have a little sing-along before bed. If there is anything we can do at all to support further then please let us know. Thank you again.

My wife was accepted by Four Oaks Nursing Home in January 2023. She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia in early 2018, and for the next 2 or 3 years I managed to care for at home reasonably well. However, her Dementia gradually worsened , until I was unable to provide the nursing care that
she desperately needed.

From the very first day that she entered Four Oaks the staff have been wonderful. They are very professional, kind, considerate, patient and compassionate. Each time I visit I can see that she is very content, and regards it as "home" and I would recommend Four Oaks to anyone, in need of care.

Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you for your beautiful review. I am glad the team have been very supportive and it is lovely to see your wife come visit us in the offices. She is always so pleasant and feel you are both part of our family. If we can do anything at all then please let us know.

Thank you again.

My wife of over 60 years was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia pre covid. I kept her at our family home until she needed more care than I could give her. We chose as a family to make sure that she needed the best future care and chose Four Oaks in July, and are so glad we did! As well as excellent
care, everyone who works there gives so much love and compassion. Along with full support for her and our family.
Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you so much for your lovely review, the team would be delighted. We had very limited time to move our precious mum out of hospital when she deteriorated rapidly to 'end of life'.
The staff at the care home could not have been kinder both to her and to us her family. They tended to her compassionately and treated her respectfully and with dignity to the very end.
We would recommend them without hesitation and will always be grateful to the whole team.
Reply from Kean Mason-Buckley, Operations Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. My sister has been at Four Oaks since early July, transferring from hospital following a fall. She was very poorly on arrival and was admitted for palliative care. Her condition remains serious, but Four Oaks staff have improved her day to day living immeasurably.
She is clearly very comfortable and
is treated with dignity by all who tend to her needs. As we, her family, get to know the staff, our visiting experience improves. We feel satisfied that my sister's well-being is paramount.
Reply from Bev Davies, Home Manager at Four Oaks Nursing HomeThank you so much for your lovely words. We're really glad to hear your sister is feeling more comfortable and that you and your family feel supported when visiting. Our team works hard to make sure residents are cared for with dignity and compassion, so it means a lot to know this is coming through. We'll make sure to share your kind feedback with everyone here at Four Oaks.

My wife has been in Four Oaks for two months for Nursing and Dementia care.
This is the first time she has been in a nursing home environment, and the care and support she is receiving is beyond all expectations. She is treated with care, dignity and compassion by all of the staff, and I also receive
support and encouragement.

3 members of our relative's family visited & were very pleased with what we saw. We were welcomed & directed on entry. The whole place smelt fresh & looked very clean & all residents looked well cared for. Visitors were catered for with free refreshments. Staff were friendly & professional, & seemed
happy with their work in what is a very demanding speciality. It's very reassuring to know our relative is well looked after. Thank you!

Mum broke her hip aged 95 and spent 5 traumatic months in hospital. The manager from Four Oaks came to visit mum in hospital. I will never forget the empathy and compassion she showed us, and will be forever grateful for giving mum a new home where she has been cared for with excellence by the dedicated
nurses and caring staff. Hospital said mum wouldn't last long, however, her health has much improved. She is now 97, and enjoys all the care and attention she receives. I'm confident mum is still with us only because of the excellent way she is cared for at Four Oaks.
The home is bright and cheerful with a warm family atmosphere. Much thought and care go into the many activities arranged for residents. Care staff and managers work hard to make the home a cosy place to live. They welcome family anytime and do anything possible to meet any requests. I can't find anything negative to say about Four Oaks. Mum calls it home, and that means everything.

My mother was here for the period of 2019 to 2023 and we were so pleased with everything about the provision it was such an easy decision when it came to choosing a care home for my auntie. All the staff engage with the residents and there's always plenty going on to stimulate them, lots of activities
and entertainment. The food is always nice and there's plenty of it. The home is always spotlessly clean and the residents nicely turned out. Overall a fab place and one I would highly recommend.

My mum has been a resident for a couple of months now. This has been the first Christmas/New Year period that she has been a resident. The Staff could not have been more helpful, arranging for my father to attend the residents Christmas Dinner and making sure that all the residents had presents to open.
The Staff from the top down have the patience of saints, nothing is too much trouble. My mum has dementia and quiet often thinks that she is in a hotel. Well done and thank you. I have given activities a lower score as my mum will not interact with them, not because they are poor.

My sister, has settled very well at Four Oaks, when she first arrived here she was very frightened and confused and had just lost her husband. She has been made happy and secure in her surroundings and is very settled and calm. The kindness and attention from staff and good atmosphere has helped enormously.

My husband is settled, happy and well cared for which means I can stop worrying for the first time in a long while. The staff, without exception, are kind, professional and go the extra mile. In the four months my husband has been a resident all the staff have got to know him really well and are able
to anticipate his needs. He is prone to infections but their knowledge and attentive care allows them to intervene in a timely manner. The home is a home where friends and family are positively welcomed and included in day-to-day life. There is always something going on. The activities provided are meaningful and well-chosen to meet the needs of residents. My husband and I have enjoyed gardening, petting ponies, making flapjacks, church services and listening to live entertainment the list is endless. The professionalism of the nursing staff in keeping thorough records and the support of the management team has meant our application for continuing health care funding was successful.

(1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 registered maximum number of service users is 12.4, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
