My husband has been a resident for six months now during which time his dementia symptoms became very challenging to deal with but the staff worked with him very patiently and carefully. He has settled down extremely well and has a good rapport with them . I find my visits to him now very rewarding
for us both.

Myself and my wife came to Allonsfield approximately two years ago and staff here have been enormous support to us. My wife used to love dancing, which she enjoyed with staff member who then was a nurse now became a manager who likes to ensure that resident are treat it with dignity and respect. I have
got a couple of staff. I'm very fond of and I think they only not look after us as a resident they think of us as a family member which is very empathetic.

Staff very caring and patient with my mum even when she can be uncooperative as use to doing things her way. They support her in maintaining her independence.
The cleanliness in the home is spotless.

I only have good things to say about Allonsfield as a facility and members of staff I have had contact with. Mother went into Allonsfield late 2015 and over the years I have had contact with a changing work force. There still remains a few employees from the start and I have never had a problem with
anyone and nothing has ever been a problem that can not be resolved in that time. Allonsfield has always been able to accommodate mothers ever changing condition. Last week I visited with my sister and it was not possible to sit with mother in the common room, but two members of staff realised this and moved mother to a side room making her comfortable and allowing us to have room to be with her. We have always had the option to have space from other residents, there are so many options. Many thanks to all the staff for their care, dedication and input to a wonderful care home.

My mother entered Allonsfield for end-of-life care after suffering a number of small strokes. We were given a very positive view of the home when we attended an open day in December and then had to call at short notice to request a room. The staff visited us promptly and Mum was admitted the next day.
The nursing section is purpose-built, beautifully appointed with up-to-date equipment. The bedrooms are spacious, well-designed and ensuite. The large day room is bright, light and furnished to a high standard. My mother was made very welcome in the nursing section and during her stay was given a high level of individual attention. The medical and personal care she received was first-class. The staff were skilled at communicating to us the changes in my mother's condition and always took the time to ensure that both she and her visitors were comfortable. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated and she died peacefully with us by her side after a stay of two weeks. Highly recommended.

It was a real shock when my husband and I were both in hospital and it was deemed that he must go into care, not home - I was recovering from pneumonia, then they said heart failure - and unable to give the care my husband deserved.
I could not wish for a better 'substitute home' for him, everyone,
yes everyone shows such care even though they must at times be so weary. They are marvellous.

Myself and Billy (my border collie) are volunteer visitors for Therapy Dogs Nationwide. You will see Billy's picture on the website (I'm not as photogenic), he loves to visit and meet the residents. When we are there we access all areas of the home, so everybody who wants a stroke of his soft coat gets
the opportunity. It's especially nice for those who miss their own dogs, and the fact that he is happy to help with the dispatch of biscuits makes everybody happy. He and I are welcomed by residents and staff, and we have a chat and a fuss. Billy is a very friendly and easygoing dog, spending a lot of time sitting on the feet of residents - he likes to get close. The staff, without exception, are friendly and welcoming of us. I do hope that we bring some pleasure.

The staff were kind, understanding and caring. A beautiful room which was clean and attention to detail was paid with regard to cleanliness and ensuring the bed was comfortable and in working order. Staff were knowledgeable with regard to the medicines required and worked closely with the local GP practice
which we found reassuring. The assessment of need was accurate which enhanced staff knowing the needs and how to meet those needs but also to be able to person-centred care. Lovely food at the time of main meals and well supported by snacks

My aunt has now been at this care home for just over 4 years. When she first arrived the home was rated as outstanding, however over the last two years the standards have dropped significantly and now has a rating of satisfactory. The support staff have always been pleasant and I believe they work hard
for what is essentially minimum wage. I have struggled with the management, there is no continuity and there is regular change with the home manager position, this is despite being assured this will not continue to happen. Costs have gone up on average 10% a year which is profiteering, and standards have dropped. My aunt's personal possessions have also gone missing, including a watch which had sentimental value. In general I'm very disappointed.

My aunt was moved from a nursing home in another area to be closer to family. It was a very big move for my 93-year-old aunt but everyone here at Allonsfield House has made everything so easy. Allonsfield House Nursing Home has improved beyond measure recently because a new staff member has brought new life and vigour into the residents' everyday lives at the home. I have seen my mother's well-being and mental health improve. Today she has gone on a trip which I am sure she will enjoy.

Although busy, the staff are a fantastic asset. Attentive, kind and considerate in all aspects of care provision. This is reflected across the whole organisation at Allonsfield. All staff, from cleaners, the caterers, maintenance, carers and nurses, all showed a very positive outlook to residents, taking
time to talk to residents and visitors.

Since joining Kingsley, I have progressed from Clinical Lead Nurse to Home Manager at Woodbridge, before moving to Allonsfield. I love the support you get from a family-run company, and I am blessed with a great team. Outside work, I love reading and gardening and enjoy travelling.

I have been working here at Allonsfield for 15 years as head of housekeeping. I am organised and efficient, and I take great pride in my work to ensure the home is clean and presentable at all times. I really enjoy my work and I love being here for the residents, not only to help make a difference to their day, but also to see them smile.


In my spare time, I like to cook, and I enjoy watching wildlife documentaries, especially if they involve David Attenborough.
