We thank you for your review and for your comments on the improvements that have happened in all areas of the home that have taken the CQC report to an overall good rating. All of the staff team have worked tirelessly throughout the Covid pandemic providing excellent care to all of the residents.
We are sorry that you have not been satisfied with some aspects of our service and would stress that we always encourage families to come forward with any concerns at the first opportunity. With regards to your concerns about the level of care, we would point out that the home has an excellent CQC report. Activities have necessarily been constrained by the pandemic but we have still tried to engage the wider community through Zoom events. The development of our organic garden has also regrettably been delayed by the pandemic but it is still going ahead. We strive at all times to keep families informed of what is happening through regular newsletters and other correspondence.

I started my career in the care industry and soon realised my passion was nursing. I have acquired considerable experience working for the NHS in various positions as well as in private care homes. Since joining Kingsley, I have progressed from Clinical Lead Nurse to Home Manager at Woodbridge, before moving to Allonsfield. I love the support you get from a family-run company, and I am blessed with a great team. Outside work, I love reading and gardening and enjoy travelling.
I joined Allonsfield House in 2022 as a Care Coordinator, bringing with me a wealth of experience from a background in children’s fostering. My natural compassion, leadership, and dedication to person-centred care were quickly recognised, and I progressed to the role of Deputy Manager. I’m deeply passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting both residents and staff. My fostering background has given me a strong sense of empathy and commitment, which I bring into every aspect of my role. I take pride in helping to maintain the warm, supportive environment that makes Allonsfield House such a special place to live and work. With a strong focus on dignity, respect, and individual well-being, I continue to support and inspire my team to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care.
I gained several years of experience managing hotels throughout East Anglia before joining the team at Allonsfield House as hospitality manager. I am a qualified Holistic Therapist, Sound Therapist and Reiki Master and in my spare time also enjoy gardening, road cycling and walking my rescue dog Denzil.
I have been working here at Allonsfield for two and a half years. However, I have worked in the care sector for 17 years in many different roles and I can honestly say Allonsfield is the loveliest place I have worked. The residents make me smile every day and I enjoy having a “natter” and listening to their own and family history. My family are very important to me and I spend most of my spare time with my nephew and nieces and I love being Aunty Vic. I also like to watch crime dramas and documentaries.
I have been working here at Allonsfield for 15 years as head of housekeeping. I am organised and efficient, and I take great pride in my work to ensure the home is clean and presentable at all times. I really enjoy my work and I love being here for the residents, not only to help make a difference to their day, but also to see them smile.
In my spare time, I like to cook, and I enjoy watching wildlife documentaries, especially if they involve David Attenborough.
