Although my mother has found it difficult to come to the knowledge that she will not be able to return to her previous independent life, I know that she could not wish for more comfortable surroundings, better support from her loving carers, the home's management and the whole backroom team - or even

I cannot thank all at Allonsfield House enough for the truly wonderful care they gave my mum in the last few months of her life. They were all so kind, caring and considerate to mum and my sister and I. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience and I can't recommend Allonsfield highly enough.

Father-in-law has complex dementia and could not receive better treatment and care anywhere. He seems very happy and everything he needs is catered for. Mother-in-law is in the residential side and is getting all the care she deserves and space for as much rest as she needs. She was being looked after
very well.

Wonderful care of my mother in her 4 months and especially at the end of her life.
My brother and I couldn't have been happier with the care that she received.

Based on the two-plus years I have visited and cared for my Mum, alongside the Allonsfield staff, my observation is that the frequently changing management continues to be a problem, which is accurately reflected in the CQC report. This is a great shame because with good management the skills of the
carers would be much better maximised. The environment has improved a lot over the years and is pleasant.

My mum has been a resident in the dementia wing at Allonsfield for two years and in that time there has been a lot of work to improve the environment both inside and out (although the allotments were never built, which is a shame). The activities coordinator is good, but the activities a bit limited.
My main concerns are the inconsistent care, the high turnover of management - with resulting issues and poor interaction with and feedback to relatives.

With regards to your concerns about the level of care, we would point out that the home has an excellent CQC report. Activities have necessarily been constrained by the pandemic but we have still tried to engage the wider community through Zoom events. The development of our organic garden has also regrettably been delayed by the pandemic but it is still going ahead. We strive at all times to keep families informed of what is happening through regular newsletters and other correspondence.

The visits have been organised with the resident, the visitor and the staff's safety as top priority, but somehow in a way that the resident is not aware. My mother sits with one of the carers (or another of the amazing team of angels that work at Allonsfield) and the carer hugs her and holds her hand
so she does not notice that I don't. The staff are always happy, friendly, professional and pleased to accommodate the visitors. I think Allonsfield is really outstanding and the way Covid 19 has been handled gives me such confidence in the home.

My wife has been a resident at Allonsfield House for very nearly 3 years and for the last 3 and a half months we have all endured the ghastly lockdown. I cannot fault the staff during this time, who have been brilliant with their wonderful care and kindness. I know during this time there have been management
issues but the care team have kept together to keep Allonsfield a safe and special home. My three son's and my wife's brother join me to say thank you for all your continued care and kindness - may God bless you all.

My mother needed some emergency respite care and Allonsfield House had a room available. From the first telephone call the staff could not have been more helpful and kind. I was so grateful that they were able to help and they cared for my mum with respect and kindness. I saw how they were with other

When looking for somewhere for our mum, this was the fifth home we visited. Immediately we walked in, we knew it was the right place, homely, friendly and intimate.
We were right - nothing is too much trouble, food is good, plenty of attention and care and mum is enjoying it. She has even made some

The home has improved a lot since the beginning of the year and now feels much more homely and welcoming. The care staff are very kind and caring and I have noticed that the residents seem to be much happier and more engaged since the arrival of the two activity coordinators - they have really brightened
up the days for many of the residents. The home is always clean and tidy and the garden well kept.

My mother has recently become a resident at Allonsfield House after a difficult stay in hospital. The staff at Allonsfield House have been absolutely marvellous at helping her adjust to her new home. The manager has gone out of her way to make this process as smooth as possible and my mother's carers
are angels sent from heaven.

Allonsfield has improved dramatically since the CQC inspection in all areas. I was intending to move my relative to a different home but now there is no need as she is cleaner, better dressed and, above all, happier. My mother has been here since February 2016 and I can honestly say that the home has always taken great care of her and the staff have always been lovely. The 2 new activities staff are absolutely brilliant. The only problem I ever had was with my mother's clothes going "awol" but this now seems to
have been rectified. I always get a phone call if there is any problem, medical or otherwise, which is really helpful as I feel I am still part of my mum's life.

My wife has been in Allonsfield House for respite care on several occasions but now it is for permanent residence. It is a very friendly and homely, the staff have been so respectful and caring as my wife has lost her speech and has difficulty in communications. But the care coordinator is so brilliant
in motivating my wife, it is such a calm and peaceful home and I cannot praise the staff for their care, kindness and attention enough.

First impressions say a lot and on a visit to look around the home we were impressed with what we saw. It had a friendly family atmosphere. From day one the staff and management made my father along with my wife and I very welcome and totally involved with the care my father required. With my father,
having dementia, was not always easy to care for but the staff always maintained his dignity and were respectful to him especially in his final days. From what we noticed during our visits this applied to all the residents. We would like to wish all the staff and management well for the future of the home and would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone looking for a care package.
