Timperley Nursing Home is situated in a peaceful residential area in Altrincham, close to local amenities.

It offers residential and nursing care for older people and people living with dementia, in a luxury homely setting. Timperley's skilled carers support residents needing either long or short term care, including respite care.

The home is spacious with large lounge areas, hairdressing salon and quiet bistro areas where residents can spend time with family and friends while enjoying a coffee and cake of the day.

I visit one of your dementia residents once a week. From the day I first walked in to Timperley Care Home, it felt warm and welcoming with a really comfortable ambience. The staff - without exception - are caring and considerate, all of them giving of their time and willing to support when required,
but equally aware of when to give you space. The home is bright and airy with spacious, uncluttered bedrooms for all residents. The lounge areas on both floors are inviting, with a wonderful coffee station accessible to all. I really like the effort that has gone in to making meal times a proper 'event', encouraging as many residents to eat formally at properly laid tables. The garden might not be big, but it is beautifully tended and offers seating areas for warmer days and a welcome 'change of scene'.

What a relief it was to find this home. Quietly tucked away in a residential area yet easily accessible. The care my husband receives is amazing. I feel totally at peace with the knowledge he is comfortable and well looked after. He is a relatively young resident with lots of energy to walk around,
so caring for him is not easy! A big thank you from me to all at Timperley Care Home.

This is a bright purpose built establishment. On entry there is a cheerful welcome. It would be difficult to nominate any one special carer as each and ever one deserves thanks. It's a privilege to be given a visitors' lounge where refreshments are readily available. We also enjoy the activity room
where, whenever possible, with our family we place games, what makes this home is the happy, smiling caring staff. A difficult job but they still smile! Thank you.

TCH is an excellent care home.
When we were looking at different care homes in the area this came out on top and has a lovely homely feel to it.
We have been really pleased with the level of care that Mum has been given and the fact that she's always very happy.
The activities programme is outstanding.
There is always something going on and the activities are very varied.
One of our concerns was that Mum would be sat in a lounge just falling asleep all the time but we needn't have worried.
The meals are also really good with a varied menu.
Many thanks to all, you do a wonderful job, Mum's so happy which makes us happy knowing she's being properly looked after.

My father had a brief stay at Timperley Care Home as a respite placement. During this time my family and I found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and caring. The room was of a high standard: clean and well-furnished. There were always staff on hand to deal with any queries or requests. The facilities

We visited several care homes before deciding on Timperley Care Home for Mum. We are so glad we did. The staff are brilliant with Mum, who has settled really well. We think the activities are fantastic and appropriate for all. The food is very good quality and well presented. Any concerns we had were
dealt with in a speedy and professional manner. Wouldn't want Mum anywhere else.

Efficient, kind, caring, lovely staff they go above and beyond taking care of all their residents. I am pleased and grateful to you all for taking care of my Husband during his 2 weeks of respite, I couldn't have asked for a better place. They handle amazingly off my husband's challenging behaviour.
Again, a huge "Thank You" to the Nurses, Care Assistants, Domestics staff, all departments, and of course the Manager and her office staff all of you are amazing and I feel always welcome. Your love and care for my Husband will be instilled always in my heart. I highly commend Timperley Nursing Home as a top-notch. Merry Christmas everyone!

My mother came direct from hospital into the home for nursing care. Prior to her arrival, the communication between the home and myself was excellent and all my questions that I had at the time were answered satisfactorily. I was nervous and unsure of the procedures but the staff informed me of all
the processes and were always very caring, thoughtful, and helpful and this put me at ease. Since my mother has been in the home the care she has received I believe to be of an excellent standard. When engaging with my mother when I have been present the staff continue to be professional. The staff demonstrate good levels of skills, knowledge, and experience when dealing with my mother and she always appears to be very well looked after. Aside from the excellent staff, the building is very clean, secure, and appropriate for the use it has. I am always made most welcome when visiting and the staff are always very pleasant and forthcoming.

My mum is so happy here with great activities and care. She has been here since November and is so well looked after. Thank you so much. The care home has a great location and she enjoyed going to see the Chinese New Year celebrations at the theatre.

My mum was a resident at Timperley for about a year before we moved her to a different care home. The staff were okay - they seemed to lose good staff frequently. There was a high carer to resident ratio but the interaction from carer to resident was minimal at best. The rooms were sparse with broken
and dirty furniture and had laminate floors, to make things easier for staff not residents. The upper floor where the dementia residents life is very isolating and the only activities were crafts suitable for toddlers - there appeared to be nothing else on offer for residents who didn't want to do this. Any interaction with the accounts department was aggressive and unhelpful. And it was very very expensive.

We receive regular 5 Star Ratings and positive comments from family and relatives so we are extremely surprised and saddened to receive this review, some 9 months after your mum left them home. At Kingsley Healthcare all our managers have an open policy and hold regular Family Meetings. During the year we cared for your mum you never raised any concerns. We would like to reassure you that we have a rolling refurbishment programme, which includes bedrooms to ensure high standards are maintained at all times, but always address issues when brought to our attention by staff or relatives. Our wide and varied activities programme is available 7 days a week and can be seen on our Facebook page. Sadly, despite daily encouragement, your mums deteriorating health meant she refused to engage in the activities.

My wife came in for palliative care. She only spent four weeks at the home, but during that time she was cared for in a way that we had become unable to do in the home environment. My daughter and I were able to be husband and daughter for her and care for her to the best of our ability emotionally
during her last days. Son, brothers and sisters extended family were all welcomed. Thank you is not enough.

My mum has been in the care home for 3 months. Without exception, the care, activities, nursing and cleaning staff have been excellent with my mum. They have all gone out of their way to make her feel welcome, cared for and happy living at the care home. The new hospitality manager has been supporting
my mum is finding food she likes to eat, which is much appreciated.
There have been several changes in management during the time my mum has been in the home.

The care shown to my Mum is wonderful. I cannot praise the staff enough. On the rare occasion when I needed a question answered or had a concern, it was answered promptly and with genuine care. Mum's health has been 'up and down' but the staff and the doctor were efficient in their care and diagnosis.
Mum is very settled in the Home and loved. As a family, we are always welcomed. The home is clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Timperley Care Home.

Overall experience and care have been good. Any worries have been addressed and resolved quickly. Care and support are good depending on the staff. Some staff are excellent, others appear to lack knowledge, training and skills, meaning consistency in care is lacking and falls short of excellence. Do
not feel I can comment on 'value for money' as currently appealing, however, I would expect to see full staff numbers as currently no consistency of care and communication. New activities staff are excellent, we need more equal on both floors to meet the stimulation residents require. All games upstairs are broken/missing pieces.

Dad is in his second month in the home. Staff are extremely attentive - tried different ways of keeping him safe as at risk of falling. Communication is good with all staff. Nurses go above and beyond and very patient with the family and Dad. Christmas activities were amazing - lots to do. Christmas
Day lunch was special. Staff were happy and made us feel comfortable. The manager has a wonderful team. Thank you.

Tracy

Tracy Mitchell

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Timperley Care Home.


Having qualified as a nurse in 1992 she initially went into a hospital setting, working as a theatre nurse, before deciding she wanted to care for people with a more person-centred approach.


She took up a role in a nursing home where she held the position of Deputy Manager and later became the Manager.


Tracy has over 20 years of experience managing residential and nursing homes. She loves seeing the joy on resident's faces as they start enjoying life again when they move into a care home, taking part in a wide range of meaningful and stimulating activities, socialising and making new friends.

Cheryl Peers

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Cheryl, the new Deputy Manager at Timperley, is a qualified nurse, specialising in Mental Health care. She has worked in both hospital and care settings and in her previous role where helped them achieve outstanding.


Cheryl is enjoying working at Timperley and has been made to feel welcome by the team. She is looking forward to helping the home to develop and improve. She is passionate about end-of-life care and is looking forward to embedding high standards into the home.

I have worked at Kingsley Care Home for the last 18 months as the Home administrator. I am currently working towards my NVQ L3 in Business Administration. I have worked in the care sector for over 23 years and have a wealth of knowledge working with older adults and dementia care.


I completed my RMA Registered Managers Award and NVQ L3 in health and social care, and worked as a deputy manager of a residential home for over 12 years. I then moved on to be an assessor in the community working for a health care company that provided care at home, working alongside Tameside Council. I built person-centred care plans and risk assessments for service users living in their own homes who required care and support with daily living. I was a moving and handling trainer who supported and signed off on the care assistants working out in the community.


I enjoy my job as I love caring and supporting people each and every day, whether that be the residents, staff or families. I am always happy to help where I can.


In my spare time, I enjoy family time with my 5 boys, often going to Football every weekend with my boys, as one of my sons plays for Stoke City Academy. When I have time, I also enjoy swimming, Movie nights, family holidays and weekend trips away!

My career began with Infosys Ltd, Pune, India, where I was recruited as an Operations Executive. Over time, I progressed to the role of Systems Engineer. After marriage, we moved to Oman, shifting my focus to Human Resources, working closely with senior management as an HR Executive. I moved to the UK to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration and joined Kingsley Healthcare, where I currently serve as an Administrator.


Outside of work, I’m a big movie addict who loves getting lost in films of all kinds. I’m also a passionate foodie who enjoys exploring different cuisines, where Arabic food is by far my favourite. Whether it's a new dish or a classic film, I love discovering new experiences that spark joy and curiosity.

I have worked in the hotel business for years. My previous job was at the Best Western Hotel as house keeping manager for 16 years.
