Timperley Nursing Home is situated in a peaceful residential area in Altrincham, close to local amenities.

It offers residential and nursing care for older people and people living with dementia, in a luxury homely setting. Timperley's skilled carers support residents needing either long or short term care, including respite care.

I have found the home good. The staff are friendly. Since my wife went into the home, she seems to be well looked after. She does spend a lot of time in her room; this is no reflection on staff, as she just like peace and quiet. She has the option to eat in the dining room but prefers to eat in her

A lovely, warm, friendly home with great, caring staff. Mum has dementia and other issues so is nursed in bed. Staff are always on hand to meet her needs. They often pop in just for a chat, and she's always pleased to see them. The home is also light, bright and clean. Always welcoming to family. I

My sister has been a resident for several months. She has both Down’s syndrome and dementia resulting in complex needs. From the moment she arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and extremely caring. She settled in a lot faster than we anticipated, and now we feel that it’s like home from home for
her.
We would like to particularly mention how fantastic the food is, freshly made on-site and great variety. Her room is maintained to a high standard, and she is always well presented whenever we visit. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for their care and approachability.

My husband has been a resident in Timperley since October 2020. I am very happy with his care. All the staff seem very kind and take extra time to understand him as his verbal communication is very poor. He is always clean shaved and nicely dressed whenever I visit. My mother has lived at Timperley Care Home for over six years and has always been treated with compassion and dignity. The staff are friendly, approachable and willing to assist with any request or enquiry. The area for improvement lies in management, which has been lacking for some time, terms of inconsistency,
turnover and engagement. This has led to significant changes to the care my mother has received (both positive and negative), but also in the flow of information critical to those changes, which have delayed some of the positive changes being implemented. Hopefully, the newly appointed manager this month will be the start of managerial improvements.

My dad was here in October for end of life. Staff lovely and phoned when I was needed as well as Zoom calls. Dad was there for 2-weeks, and they looked after Dad. I want to say thank you to all staff; he passed away peacefully. Staff were so lovely, would have any of my family at this amazing care home.

My Mother in Law received the most wonderful care during the six years she lived at Timperley Care home. She needed advanced dementia care and this was provided at high levels by all of the amazing staff who work so hard. It is such a worry when choosing a nursing home for your one and we looked at
quite a few which we rejected. We knew we had made the right choice as soon as we visited Timperley Care Home and everything felt right. I would highly recommend them.

My mum only recently moved to Timperley Care Home after a long hospital stay. We carefully considered Timperley Care Home prior to Mum moving in on 27.07.20. We provided extensive information about Mum, her history, her interests, her skills and her fears, prior to entry. We were assured her needs would be met. They weren't. Covid has, I feel, exposed huge gaps in the residential
care system that only are covered by family members when they visit and as family can't visit, residents remain unstimulated. I cannot fault the personal care.

After careful consideration and reading available information about the care home, my sisters and I entrusted our mum's care to Timperley Care Home.
She entered the home on 27th July 2020.
Communication was an issue from the get go - Mum arrived with memory boxes, activities, photos and a book about
herself (nothing was looked at with her). We had no care plan in place, no access to a social worker, difficulties visiting (COVID) and Mum deteriorated rapidly, sitting for long periods in a chair without stimulation.

Tracy Mitchell

Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Timperley Care Home.


Having qualified as a nurse in 1992 she initially went into a hospital setting, working as a theatre nurse, before deciding she wanted to care for people with a more person-centred approach.


She took up a role in a nursing home where she held the position of Deputy Manager and later became the Manager.


Tracy has over 20 years of experience managing residential and nursing homes. She loves seeing the joy on resident's faces as they start enjoying life again when they move into a care home, taking part in a wide range of meaningful and stimulating activities, socialising and making new friends.

Cheryl Peers

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Cheryl, the new Deputy Manager at Timperley, is a qualified nurse, specialising in Mental Health care. She has worked in both hospital and care settings and in her previous role where helped them achieve outstanding.


Cheryl is enjoying working at Timperley and has been made to feel welcome by the team. She is looking forward to helping the home to develop and improve. She is passionate about end-of-life care and is looking forward to embedding high standards into the home.

I have worked at Kingsley Care Home for the last 18 months as the Home administrator. I am currently working towards my NVQ L3 in Business Administration. I have worked in the care sector for over 23 years and have a wealth of knowledge working with older adults and dementia care.


I completed my RMA Registered Managers Award and NVQ L3 in health and social care, and worked as a deputy manager of a residential home for over 12 years. I then moved on to be an assessor in the community working for a health care company that provided care at home, working alongside Tameside Council. I built person-centred care plans and risk assessments for service users living in their own homes who required care and support with daily living. I was a moving and handling trainer who supported and signed off on the care assistants working out in the community.


I enjoy my job as I love caring and supporting people each and every day, whether that be the residents, staff or families. I am always happy to help where I can.


In my spare time, I enjoy family time with my 5 boys, often going to Football every weekend with my boys, as one of my sons plays for Stoke City Academy. When I have time, I also enjoy swimming, Movie nights, family holidays and weekend trips away!

After marriage, we moved to Oman, shifting my focus to Human Resources, working closely with senior management as an HR Executive. I moved to the UK to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration and joined Kingsley Healthcare, where I currently serve as an Administrator.


Outside of work, I’m a big movie addict who loves getting lost in films of all kinds. I’m also a passionate foodie who enjoys exploring different cuisines, where Arabic food is by far my favourite. Whether it's a new dish or a classic film, I love discovering new experiences that spark joy and curiosity.
