Timperley Nursing Home

My mum was a resident at Timperley for about a year before we moved her to a different care home. The staff were okay - they seemed to lose good staff frequently. There was a high carer to resident ratio but the interaction from carer to resident was minimal at best. The rooms were sparse with broken and dirty furniture and had laminate floors, to make things easier for staff not residents. The upper floor where the dementia residents life is very isolating and the only activities were crafts suitable for toddlers - there appeared to be nothing else on offer for residents who didn't want to do this. Any interaction with the accounts department was aggressive and unhelpful. And it was very very expensive.

My wife came in for palliative care. She only spent four weeks at the home, but during that time she was cared for in a way that we had become unable to do in the home environment. My daughter and I were able to be husband and daughter for her and care for her to the best of our ability emotionally during her last days. Son, brothers and sisters extended family were all welcomed. Thank you is not enough.

The care shown to my Mum is wonderful. I cannot praise the staff enough. On the rare occasion when I needed a question answered or had a concern, it was answered promptly and with genuine care. Mum's health has been 'up and down' but the staff and the doctor were efficient in their care and diagnosis. Mum is very settled in the Home and loved. As a family, we are always welcomed. The home is clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Timperley Care Home.

Overall experience and care have been good. Any worries have been addressed and resolved quickly. Care and support are good depending on the staff. Some staff are excellent, others appear to lack knowledge, training and skills, meaning consistency in care is lacking and falls short of excellence. Do not feel I can comment on 'value for money' as currently appealing, however, I would expect to see full staff numbers as currently no consistency of care and communication. New activities staff are excellent, we need more equal on both floors to meet the stimulation residents require. All games upstairs are broken/missing pieces.

Dad is in his second month in the home. Staff are extremely attentive - tried different ways of keeping him safe as at risk of falling. Communication is good with all staff. Nurses go above and beyond and very patient with the family and Dad. Christmas activities were amazing - lots to do. Christmas Day lunch was special. Staff were happy and made us feel comfortable. The manager has a wonderful team. Thank you.

Timperley Care Home has been a saving grace for my dad and the rest of the family.

Dad was initially very unsettled when he came here. Now very happy here and eating well. The staff are all very first and know him well. Always refreshments available for us to have a cup of tea with Dad when we visit.

A lovely, comfortable, clean and well-kept facility with a very caring, friendly and understanding team. I am so happy that my dad had his final days in such a lovely environment.

The home itself and its facilities are brilliant and really take the consideration the comfort of the family as well as the patient. Would highly recommend it.

My mum spent the last month or so at Timperley Care Home having been in and out of many hospitals in the months before. All the staff managers everyone were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Mum was well cared for in her final days and treated with respect throughout. Would like to thank every member of staff for everything highly recommended.

My wife, who had Alzheimer's, needed a break for some respite care. Although her respite was quite short, she was treated with great care and kindness all the time by all the staff.

The care provided was very good indeed. Everything was clean and modern and the staff were very attentive. I would certainly recommend Timperley Care Home which will be our first port of call for any future care requirements.

I’m not one for usually leaving reviews for anything but on this occasion, I felt I truly had to because Timperley Care Home goes above and beyond for everybody in their care. I can honestly say my mother-in-law had outstanding care from the moment she arrived there (very poorly too) until the minute she passed away. The manager manages and runs this home excellently. I really can’t fault any of the staff at Timperley Care Home I truly can’t. What an amazing home for elderly residents to spend their time at.

My mum was admitted in very poorly condition. The staff were fantastic with her and her family. They treated us all and especially my mum with care, dignity and respect. They couldn't do enough for her and us, particularly in her final days and hours. Many thanks to all the staff.

I can’t rate this wonderful place high enough. It is a very happy place, they must blow their budget every week on entertaining the residents, from pantomimes to singers, baking, it is well planned and the staff are obviously happy as well as all the residents which really gives the place a fantastic atmosphere. Food is superb and nothing is too much trouble. This nursing home just wants everyone to be happy and well cared for. I can’t praise them enough!

Having had an awful experience at the previous care home we moved mum to Timperley Care Home in April and have found it to be excellent.. the staff are fantastic and very attentive, there are plenty of fun activities to do, the food is superb, we could not be happier! It’s a relief that mum is now in safe hands and we don’t have to worry. All down no doubt to the very good management of the home
