Timperley Nursing Home is situated in a peaceful residential area in Altrincham, close to local amenities.

It offers residential and nursing care for older people and people living with dementia, in a luxury homely setting. Timperley's skilled carers support residents needing either long or short term care, including respite care.

The home is spacious with large lounge areas, hairdressing salon and quiet bistro areas where residents can spend time with family and friends while enjoying a coffee and cake of the day.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious home cooked food to tempt even the most discerning appetite. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their meal in the dining room, taking their time, while socialising and making new friends.

All the bedrooms are spacious with ensuite facilities. Residents are encouraged to personalised their rooms to make them as homely as possible, which helps them settle in quicker.

Set in beautiful grounds it has a beautiful garden area, with plenty of outdoor seating for residents to sit, relax and enjoy the fresh air, particularly during the summer months.

The care shown to my Mum is wonderful. I cannot praise the staff enough. On the rare occasion when I needed a question answered or had a concern, it was answered promptly and with genuine care. Mum's health has been 'up and down' but the staff and the doctor were efficient in their care and diagnosis.
Mum is very settled in the Home and loved. As a family, we are always welcomed. The home is clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Timperley Care Home.

Overall experience and care have been good. Any worries have been addressed and resolved quickly. Care and support are good depending on the staff. Some staff are excellent, others appear to lack knowledge, training and skills, meaning consistency in care is lacking and falls short of excellence. Do
not feel I can comment on 'value for money' as currently appealing, however, I would expect to see full staff numbers as currently no consistency of care and communication. New activities staff are excellent, we need more equal on both floors to meet the stimulation residents require. All games upstairs are broken/missing pieces.

Dad is in his second month in the home. Staff are extremely attentive - tried different ways of keeping him safe as at risk of falling. Communication is good with all staff. Nurses go above and beyond and very patient with the family and Dad. Christmas activities were amazing - lots to do. Christmas
Day lunch was special. Staff were happy and made us feel comfortable. The manager has a wonderful team. Thank you.

Staff are very friendly, courteous and considerate. The care given to my grandad has been very good. They look beyond the patient's basic needs (which are very well tended to) and look after their other general needs like dignity, presentation, comfort and general well-being.
The home itself and its

I’m not one for usually leaving reviews for anything but on this occasion, I felt I truly had to because Timperley Care Home goes above and beyond for everybody in their care. I can honestly say my mother-in-law had outstanding care from the moment she arrived there (very poorly too) until the minute
she passed away. The manager manages and runs this home excellently. I really can’t fault any of the staff at Timperley Care Home I truly can’t. What an amazing home for elderly residents to spend their time at.

My mum was admitted in very poorly condition. The staff were fantastic with her and her family. They treated us all and especially my mum with care, dignity and respect. They couldn't do enough for her and us, particularly in her final days and hours. Many thanks to all the staff.

I can’t rate this wonderful place high enough. It is a very happy place, they must blow their budget every week on entertaining the residents, from pantomimes to singers, baking, it is well planned and the staff are obviously happy as well as all the residents which really gives the place a fantastic
atmosphere. Food is superb and nothing is too much trouble. This nursing home just wants everyone to be happy and well cared for. I can’t praise them enough!

Having had an awful experience at the previous care home we moved mum to Timperley Care Home in April and have found it to be excellent.. the staff are fantastic and very attentive, there are plenty of fun activities to do, the food is superb, we could not be happier! It’s a relief that mum is now in
safe hands and we don’t have to worry. All down no doubt to the very good management of the home

We visited Timperley Care Home in December 2022 without an appointment to look at the facilities on offer. The home manager greeted us in a friendly manner, answered our questions and gave us a guided tour. We left with a favourable impression of the facilities and the consideration shown to us on our
visit. My father's mental health deteriorated suddenly and the family tried but failed to help look after him following a period of challenging behaviour. The care home manager agrees to assess my father on a bank holiday and subsequently provided respite care. After an unexpected stay in hospital, my father has returned to Timperley Care Home. We have nothing but praise for the staff and the manager.

Extremely pleased with all the staff. Everyone showed kindness, compassion and care towards my dad, but they also looked after myself and the family on every visit. It was extremely important that dad stayed there to receive palliative care and all the staff ensured he received care and dignity right

Tracy Mitchell

Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Timperley Care Home.


Having qualified as a nurse in 1992 she initially went into a hospital setting, working as a theatre nurse, before deciding she wanted to care for people with a more person-centred approach.


She took up a role in a nursing home where she held the position of Deputy Manager and later became the Manager.


Tracy has over 20 years of experience managing residential and nursing homes. She loves seeing the joy on resident's faces as they start enjoying life again when they move into a care home, taking part in a wide range of meaningful and stimulating activities, socialising and making new friends.

Cheryl Peers

Cheryl, the new Deputy Manager at Timperley, is a qualified nurse, specialising in Mental Health care. She has worked in both hospital and care settings and in her previous role where helped them achieve outstanding.

I completed my RMA Registered Managers Award and NVQ L3 in health and social care, and worked as a deputy manager of a residential home for over 12 years. I then moved on to be an assessor in the community working for a health care company that provided care at home, working alongside Tameside Council. I built person-centred care plans and risk assessments for service users living in their own homes who required care and support with daily living. I was a moving and handling trainer who supported and signed off on the care assistants working out in the community.


I enjoy my job as I love caring and supporting people each and every day, whether that be the residents, staff or families. I am always happy to help where I can.


In my spare time, I enjoy family time with my 5 boys, often going to Football every weekend with my boys, as one of my sons plays for Stoke City Academy. When I have time, I also enjoy swimming, Movie nights, family holidays and weekend trips away!

After marriage, we moved to Oman, shifting my focus to Human Resources, working closely with senior management as an HR Executive. I moved to the UK to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration and joined Kingsley Healthcare, where I currently serve as an Administrator.


Outside of work, I’m a big movie addict who loves getting lost in films of all kinds. I’m also a passionate foodie who enjoys exploring different cuisines, where Arabic food is by far my favourite. Whether it's a new dish or a classic film, I love discovering new experiences that spark joy and curiosity.
