Oaklands Care Home

My dad has settled in well at Oaklands. The staff are caring, respectful and treat him with dignity and kindness. There are frequent activities for the residents, as well as many involving friends and relatives. The gardens at Oaklands are wonderful, and dad enjoys walking around them, and sitting in the Conservatory looking out at them. The food is of excellent quality and variety.

The staff of Oaklands showed great compassion and professionalism whilst caring for my mother during her last months of life and ultimately when she was on the End of Life Pathway. They kept her immaculately clean, fed her, encouraged her and took every care to preserve her personal dignity. Time and again the staff went over and above with small but hugely important acts of kindness. Medical care was also delivered thoughtfully and was of a very high order. My mother's interests were always the priority of all staff. Thank you.

The residents are treated well where their dignity is concerned as much as possible

My aunties experience was so positive that she cannot wait to go back again! She felt welcomed and enjoyed her respite stay. The meals and entertainment, along with staff interactions, made her fit in very well. It was like going to an all-inclusive holiday she said.

I'm glad to say that we are both very happy with Oaklands .

There are a wide range of activities that residents can choose to take part in, and frequent events for the families to enjoy and mix with the families of other residents. The food is a very good standard of nutritious with healthy options, fresh fruit etc. readily available. Recently they made extra efforts to make sure her birthday felt special.

Amazing staff and amazing care for my father, the staff go out of their way to make sure my father is well cared for.

The family are very happy with dad being at Oaklands Care Home. Although he is bed bound and doesn't take part in any activities the staff look after dads welfare very well.

I visited my friend at Oaklands Nursing Home about two months ago and was extremely impressed. The home was warm, welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. Staff was friendly, attentive and respectful. During my visit to Oaklands, I observed a vibrant activities program, and residents are genuinely encouraged to participate. The home is clean and welcoming, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

My mum came to Oaklands Nursing Home on Christmas day 2023. She had broken her hip and her dementia had got a lot worse.The staff at Oaklands are wonderful and managed her transition with humanity, care and professionalism. Two years later the quality of care is still exceptional and I am forever grateful for everything the team at Oaklands do for my mum - thank you.

When I come to visit Mum I am always made to feel so welcome, always a smile and hugs from the staff. Mum is always clean and tidy and treated with kindness, no matter what her mood may be. Mum tells me that they are kind to her and look after her very well. When I leave Oaklands I go home happy knowing that Mum receives the best possible care.

Oaklands Care Home is always very welcoming, the staff are amazing, they are always very helpful when I ask about my mother. I feel reassured that Mum is being well cared for by everyone. I am always informed if mum is not well or there has been a problem. I can not fault the staff, they all work so hard. They not only look after the residents but also care about the families.

Always on arrival fantastic atmosphere, days are full of optional activities. Staff very professional and caring. Accommodating to all residents and visitors. Clean and fresh environment. Great choice of food. Treats throughout the day. Fresh flowers, plants a real homely feel. Outside entertainment comes often. Special dates ie Halloween, rememberence always noted and made special by staff.

My mother moved to Oaklands Care Home in September 2025 and I have been very impressed with the way in which Oaklands is run. The place is kept very clean and the building is kept in good condition. I am however most impressed by the staff, they are all extremely friendly, attentive to the residents and helpful to visitors. I also like the way the home organises lots of weekly activities and encourages residents to join in.

I have nothing but praise for Oaklands, they have looked after my mother impeccably over the last few months. The care she has been given has been 100%. She is settled and happy now. I always feel welcomed when I visit and can sleep securely now knowing she is in good hands.

The whole team are amazing. My mum believes she is in a five star hotel and that is the way she is treated. Mum loves living here. Ten stars wouldn't be enough. Thank you.

My mum had been bed bound for 7 years before coming to Oaklands. Within a week the care staff had her dressed and sitting in a comfy chair in the lounge watching TV and drinking tea with other residents, I was totally amazed. She has since been around the beautiful gardens in a wheelchair and had a bath, two firsts for years and years. God bless the staff, Mum obviously was neglected but we didn't realise. I can't say thank you enough.
