Oaklands Care Home is a grade II listed building with the new addition of a further 25 rooms taking us to a 53 bed care home providing care and support to residential, respite and residential dementia individuals within a safe, homely and worthwhile environment. They take time to understand the individual's own personality and the story of their personal history to focus on both their physical and mental well-being.

The home welcomes you at any time to visit and look around but please call first to make an appointment so they can ensure the manager is available.

Mum has now been here at Oaklands since March 2021, she is well cared for and all her needs met. I know that she wouldn’t be happier anywhere else, or treated as well (from previous experience). My husband and I are always treated with respect and they are happy for us to visit her. Any questions I
have I only have to ask. Would highly recommend.

Mum looks well looked after, see lots of activities on Facebook with Mum photos. Always friendly and warm welcome when I visit Mum.
Great home in a great location with good outlooks across the fields and woods.

My father and I are very happy with Oaklands. The carers are excellent and nothing is too much for them.
My father is more than happy to be here and is getting spoilt by everyone.

I visited Oaklands regularly and frequently (when allowed) over 13 months and have nothing but praise for the way the residents are cared for. As a previous inspector of care homes, I am very critical and whilst nowhere is perfect all the time, Oaklands comes the closest I have seen. Teamwork is really

My aunt’s best friend is staying at Oakland’s care home and I have been to the home couple of times. I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff at the entrance. This home is beautiful. I was so happy about the care and support given by the home. The staff seem very friendly and caring.

I have nothing but praise and respect for ALL the staff at Oaklands, everyone who looked after my mother during her time at Oaklands and during her passage over the rainbow was, courteous, very caring, professional, respectful, friendly and went the extra mile to make sure that everything was done just
right. The support that I and my family received was just amazing, comforting and warm, nothing was to much trouble. My father is in a place where we feel really happy with his care, well being and attention. He receives excellent care from the most caring of staff.

0I have found the care home care is 100%. Anything they want is done, I am very happy with my wife's care otherwise I would not let her be there.
The staff are always found helpful and will do what you ask of them.
I am always made welcome there, the room is nice and kept nice, has own toilet and

My mother was resident in Okalnds for respite for a number of weeks. She has critical dementia. I felt that she was safe there and the staff were very competent. The reasons for moving her to another home was due to the fact that it is run by a former neighbour. All her friends in her old village are
living close by. My mother would benefit from having her friends and relatives visiting her.

The staff at Oaklands seem respectful and caring. The atmosphere is usually calm and cheerful when I visit my mum. The management seems to be trying to improve things at the home, although a lot of changes recently have slowed this down.
It has been disappointing that none of the Activities Coordinators
have been retained by Oaklands.

Dad is 91 years old and has Vascular Dementia. Our experience has been good. Dad needs intensive care which means a lot of assurance, contact, reminding and love.

Dad's lunch on March 19th was well presented and very tasty.
His birthday cake party was very nicely done.
The staff were very kind, patient and attentive as always.
He looked very well cared for in clean clothes, well groomed and was much more alert and communicative.
Very pleased that he has access
to writing and colouring materials.
The ground floor was very clean and tidy and well decorated.
Dad's bedroom was immaculate, so tidy and clean, and his room has such a nice view of the grounds.
His new reading glasses have worked out very well and it was so good to hear him read out loud the birthday card wishes.
It was a difficult decision to put Dad in a care home but our family is so pleased how well he has settled in and the excellent care provided at the Oaklands.

My mother needed emergency respite care on two separate occasions due to my dad being hospitalised due to poor health. My mother stayed at Oaklands for two weeks in total on two separate occasions. The staff were really friendly and welcoming to my mother and our family, the staff provided excellent
care. The staff made mum feel better and cheered her up when she was missing my dad, she was made to feel like part of a big family.

I am happy to have my mother in Oaklands Care Home. If there is anything wrong they have her checked by the doctor and inform me what is happening. It is a home for all needs and can be upsetting to hear patients shouting out loud, but they are all treated with same compassion. Mother is looked after
safe and not alone. What more can you want.

Staff member's profile info: I started my career in health and social care 20 years ago, in a small Nursing home that was then bought out by Kingsley Healthcare. I worked for Kingsley Healthcare in different settings until 2018, where I wished to progress in my role and started my journey in care home management. I am very happy to have rejoined the Kingsley team last year as deputy manager at Oaklands. I have experience in Nursing, Dementia and complex care, and I enjoy sharing my gained skills and knowledge with the team at Oaklands. Oaklands is a beautiful home, with wonderful grounds, gardens communal spaces. The warm welcome I have received since joining the team is a real credit to the company's values and culture of the home.

Staff member's profile info: I have worked in event management and hospitality for the last 30 years, working mainly in London. I joined the team at Oaklands to make a difference to our residents. I try to make sure the residents feel at home in their surroundings and enhance their daily life with a smile, activities, time to talk and making them feel special. We have a wonderful team here at Oaklands with staff who go above and beyond caring for residents as if it were their own family members.


I have 2 children and enjoy family time with them and wider family as much as I can. I love entertaining at home, amateur dramatics and travelling on holidays all over the world as much as I can. I was lucky enough to visit Borneo and spend time with orphaned orangutans, amongst other amazing things, in such an amazing country. I love my job here at Oaklands and am determined to make a difference to our residents and staff
