I am the Manager at Sycamore Heights, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the role. My career in social care began at the age of 16 when I started working as a healthcare assistant in a residential home in Bedford. After over five years in that position, I transitioned to a rehabilitation unit, furthering my commitment to providing quality care. Driven to expand my skills, I trained as a nurse and gained valuable experience at Bedford Hospital during a 9-month tenure. My journey with Kingsley Healthcare began at The Willows Nursing Home, where I served as Deputy Manager. After gaining additional experience in social care, I was eager to rejoin the Kingsley Healthcare family. Recently, I have been based at Brackley Care Home, another of Kingsley Healthcare’s luxury homes. Now, I am excited to be back at Sycamore Heights, where I previously served as Deputy Manager when it was known as The Willows. I was thrilled when the opportunity arose to return and lead the team here. I am passionate about ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care and take pride in leading a dedicated team committed to this goal.
Outside of work, I enjoy attending concerts and festivals. I also cherish the time spent socialising within my local community and being an active part of village life.
I have gained invaluable knowledge throughout my 15 years within the Health and Social care sector, starting by providing direct care, to team leading and then into Business Development roles. I enjoy being in a customer-facing role and supporting residents on their journeys into the company. I really like the high standards of the homes and the attention to smaller details that Kingsley Healthcare ensure in delivering quality care.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and eating out, watching movies, spending time with family and horse riding.
My work history has been quite varied. After acquiring a degree in fashion and textiles and working in various freelancing fashion-related roles, I moved into Sales and Customer services working for the Bedfordshire Times and Citizens Newspaper team. From this role, I progressed through Telecommunications and the recruitment sectors from Sales Representative to Business Development. I was working as a care assistant for the next 10 years. It was in care that I found a real purpose in life and absolutely love giving back and helping others through their lives. The last two years of my time at my previous job (in care) were spent as an administrator which I enjoyed immensely and that is how I came to join the Kingsley family and look forward to my continued commitment and passion within the care sector as Sycamore Heights administrator.
My hobbies centre around: Hiking, Camping, Wild Swimming, Yoga, Arts & Crafts, Comicon & Anime, Concerts & Music Festivals.
Clinical Lead Staff member's profile info: I have been working in the health care sector for many years. I am originally from Zambia, where I worked for over 10 years as a nurse and midwife before relocating to the UK in 2001. In the last 24 years, I have taken up different roles in care homes and within the NHS. Last year while searching for a change of job, I realised Kingsley Healthcare is passionate about delivering the best levels of personalised care. I joined the Kingsley family in December 2024 to work as a valued member of the team and boost the workforce and management. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going for long walks
I began my career in the Care Sector in 1998 in my home country and later transitioned into teaching. My passion for learning led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree, but my deep-rooted commitment to healthcare ultimately brought me back to the sector. Since joining Kingsley Healthcare in 2021, I have had the privilege of growing professionally—from Senior Support Worker to Care Coordinator, and now serving as Head of Care at Sycamore Heights. I am deeply committed to person-centred care and supporting the team in upholding the highest standards of service. Outside of work, I am an avid cook and a charismatic dancer, and I cherish time with my family. These activities keep me grounded and inspired.
