Sycamore Heights definitely puts the "care" in care home easy to deal with firstly over the phone and subsequently at our walk around and assessment. All the staff we came in contact with acted in a friendly and professional manner. Dad's room was what you would expect in a country hotel. He went into respite from hospital which wasn't ideal however he came out totally rejuvenated, able to walk with his sticks confidently and full of who he'd meet and what he'd done. What a lovely place Sycamore Heights is! The rooms and facilities are all great, but what really makes this such a special place is the extra effort all members of staff put into making the residents feel seen, heard, valued, welcomed and part of the family.

Having previously submitted a revue saying how happy I was with the Care for my husband at Sycamore Heights, I was totally devastated to be told that he would have to move elsewhere. because of his dementia. Any decision for a resident to leave is not taken lightly and full consideration was taken in both his best interest, and the best interest of other residents and staff. We are pleased to hear he is settling well in his new home.

My first impression of Sycamore Heights Care Home was that it is extremely well run and that the atmosphere is very caring. It is attractive from a funishing and decorative point of view and the overriding atmosphere is of both kindness and competence. I was in there for respite care at the end of July 2025. I was well looked after and one of the most important things for me was that I was treated as a person and not just an "old person". Both staff and residents were kind and welcoming and I felt confident that had I needed more nursing care it would have been provided.

After acquiring a degree in fashion and textiles and working in various freelancing fashion-related roles, I moved into Sales and Customer services working for the Bedfordshire Times and Citizens Newspaper team. From this role, I progressed through Telecommunications and the recruitment sectors from Sales Representative to Business Development. I was working as a care assistant for the next 10 years. It was in care that I found a real purpose in life and absolutely love giving back and helping others through their lives.
