The staff at Sycamore Heights Care Home were very friendly and helpful to ensure all services and facilities provided were fully explained and shown. My mother moved into Sycamore Heights in the middle of March. Even though she's only lived there a month, she has settled in so quickly. All the staff are very welcoming, approachable and have helped out in every way that we have asked. The food staff have been very accommodating for individually adapting the meals to suit my mother's preferences. My mother is very happy living there and we are delighted with the homely feel of the care home.

What a lovely place Sycamore Heights is! The rooms and facilities are all great, but what really makes this such a special place is the extra effort all members of staff put into making the residents feel seen, heard, valued, welcomed and part of the family.

My mother has been to sycamore heights 3 times for respite break the last time was in February 2026.
Although my mother finds the respite breaks difficult, she does enjoy the company and the activities especially the chair yoga. I am vey happy with the care and support she gets the staff are great with her.
The food is varied and excellent quality and will always accommodate the residents.
We often go back to visit and join in the activities in the afternoons and made very welcome when I like to keep mum acquainted.

I have nothing negative to say .

Having previously submitted a revue saying how happy I was with the Care for my husband at Sycamore Heights, I was totally devastated to be told that he would have to move elsewhere. because of his dementia. The support workers were also devastated to lose him. Not so, the management (new manager). I was told it would be in his best interests! I don't accept that. BE CAUTIOUS!

Reply from Julia Edwards, Operations Manager - Midlands at Sycamore Heights Nursing Home

We are sorry that your husband has had to move from our care home, as we know you wanted him to remain at Sycamore Heights. A decision was made by a multi-disciplinary team, that it was in his best interest to be relocated, where his needs could be better met. Any decision for a resident to leave...

Mum has been in this care home for two months and she is so happy.
It's so warm, welcoming and homely and the quality of the care the residents receive is first class. The staff also show great support to families too.

Family and friends who has visited Mum have commented on how happy she looks and what a wonderful environment the home provides.

My mother moved into Sycamore Heights at the end of October 2025, due to her dementia my sister and I had to make the decision on her behalf and we visited a few care homes: the moment we walked into Sycamore Heights we knew it was the right one for our mother, the atmosphere was welcoming, warm and with a sense of calmness. The property is well maintained with beautiful decor and furnishings, it's always spotlessly clean, fresh and feels more like a hotel than a care home.
The staff are very kind, compassionate and friendly, they treat the residents with respect and dignity and are always welcoming when I go to visit my mum.
The food is excellent with a varied choice on the menu each day, my mother has been enjoying the meals and has gained weight since being here.

The transition for mum moving here has been smooth and she has settled in extremely well, being in Sycamore Heights has improved her quality of life and it's reassuring to know she is in safe, caring hands.

Dad has been very well looked after during his two weeks stay. I have visited many times and each staff member I have observed has been polite, supportive and lovely with dad. Dad has enjoyed the food and interaction from staff. The home has been a lovely environment to visit, very welcoming and a homely feel. I would not hesitate to recommend the home. The activities I only marked as satisfactory as Dad would have enjoyed more musical activities but that is a personal thing for him. Thank you all.

My mother was admitted to Sycamore Heights for a period of respite care. She had previously held a negative view of care homes, recalling experiences where residents were left sitting in chairs without stimulation. Her experience at Sycamore Heights has been entirely different, and she has now chosen to remain as a full-time resident.
The home is extremely well maintained and always presented to a high standard of cleanliness. Staff are consistently kind, patient, and supportive towards both residents and their families, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Before admission, my mother had experienced significant weight loss due to a reduced appetite. Since staying at Sycamore Heights, she has rediscovered her enjoyment of food and has already begun to gain weight. The menu is varied and appealing, which has had a very positive impact on her health and wellbeing.

Overall, the standard of care has been excellent, and we have complete confidence in the support she is receiving.

My first impression of Sycamore Heights Care Home was that it is extremely well run and that the atmosphere is very caring. It is attractive from a funishing and decorative point of view and the overriding atmosphere is of both kindness and competence. I was in there for respite care at the end of July 2025. I was well looked after and one of the most important things for me was that I was treated as a person and not just an "old person". Both staff and residents were kind and welcoming and I felt confident that had I needed more nursing care it would have been provided.

My mother recently received respite care at Sycamore Heights following surgery. Compassion, competence, a 'home from home' wecloming environment and utmost professionalism are just some of the words I would use to describe the excellent care my mother received from all members of the care team, led by the manager, and all delivered in this modern home.
Oh and did I mention how good the food is! - again it is excellent

So many other care homes, in our experience, do not meet the claims made in their brochures but here is one that truly does!

We visited 3 different care homes with my mother and decided Sycamore Heights Care Home was the best. I am generally very happy with our decision. My mother's dementia has worsened considerably since her admission and although I have found the staff to be friendly and caring I know she doesn't agree. Hopefully this situation will improve. My ony issue is the time it takes staff to answer the front door. My sister once waited 15 minutes and gave up in the end.

My dad came for respite care 3 months ago after a two week stay in hospital. He was very frail, extremely low in himself and has severely ulcerated legs. He also has an open wound on his head. The staff and the nursing care has been beyond our expectations. They have shown endless patience and compassion with my dad. They have been there at all times helping him to settle. His health has improved immensely. He has now decided to stay for the foreseeable future.

The team at Sycamore a super, they look after Dad really well. They have adjusted to his requirements really well and apart from losing his independence he is very happy there. From the very first moment I walked through the doors of Sycamore Heights Care Home and began my journey as part of the team, I felt a warmth that is difficult to put into words. There was an immediate sense of belonging, as if I had been welcomed into a family rather than just starting a new role.

The staff are extraordinary — kind beyond measure, endlessly supportive, and full of genuine compassion. From day one, they made me feel accepted, encouraged, and never alone. Every smile, every gentle word, and every act of care comes straight from the heart. You can feel the love, respect, and dignity in everything they do, not only for the residents but for one another as well.
