I am a motivated, committed, and adaptable nurse and leader with over two years’ experience in the private healthcare sector and more than 20 years of NHS nursing experience.
My nursing values are rooted in compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect. I am committed to delivering safe, person-centred care and to treating residents, families, and colleagues with empathy and professionalism.
I value teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning, and I strive to support and empower others while maintaining the highest standards of care. I was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours in recognition of my service to nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the very first moment I walked through the doors of Sycamore Heights Care Home and began my journey as part of the team, I felt a warmth that is difficult to put into words. There was an immediate sense of belonging, as if I had been welcomed into a family rather than just starting a new role.
The staff are extraordinary — kind beyond measure, endlessly supportive, and full of genuine compassion. From day one, they made me feel accepted, encouraged, and never alone. Every smile, every gentle word, and every act of care comes straight from the heart. You can feel the love, respect, and dignity in everything they do, not only for the residents but for one another as well.
Sycamore Heights Care Home is a place where kindness is lived, not just spoken about. Being part of this team is more than a job — it is an honour and a privilege.
Originally from India, my healthcare career began in 2004 when I started my nursing education. After graduating, I worked as a staff nurse in India for around 20 months, gaining valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced environment. In 2010, I moved to the UK to pursue my Master’s degree. After completing my studies, I successfully passed the required English language exams and university programme to become a registered nurse in the UK. Over the past 11 years, I have worked exclusively in social care. I began as a healthcare assistant at Northampton General Hospital before becoming a registered nurse. Since then, I have progressed through a variety of roles, including Registered Manager and Support Consultant, supporting a group of 15 care homes. This journey—from healthcare assistant to senior leadership—has given me a deep understanding of frontline care and quality service delivery. Recently, I made the decision to step down from senior roles to take on this role as Deputy Manager, to spend more time with my family and focus on what I enjoy most: improving the quality of care we provide. I am passionate about person-centred care and committed to helping services deliver safe, effective, and compassionate support. In my spare time, I enjoy having fun with my family and 4 children.
I have gained invaluable knowledge throughout my 15 years within the Health and Social care sector, starting by providing direct care, to team leading and then into Business Development roles. I enjoy being in a customer-facing role and supporting residents on their journeys into the company. I really like the high standards of the homes and the attention to smaller details that Kingsley Healthcare ensure in delivering quality care.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and eating out, watching movies, spending time with family and horse riding.
My work history has been quite varied. After acquiring a degree in fashion and textiles and working in various freelancing fashion-related roles, I moved into Sales and Customer services working for the Bedfordshire Times and Citizens Newspaper team. From this role, I progressed through Telecommunications and the recruitment sectors from Sales Representative to Business Development. I was working as a care assistant for the next 10 years. It was in care that I found a real purpose in life and absolutely love giving back and helping others through their lives. The last two years of my time at my previous job (in care) were spent as an administrator which I enjoyed immensely and that is how I came to join the Kingsley family and look forward to my continued commitment and passion within the care sector as Sycamore Heights administrator.
My hobbies centre around: Hiking, Camping, Wild Swimming, Yoga, Arts & Crafts, Comicon & Anime, Concerts & Music Festivals.
