Park Lane Care Home is a wonderfully bright and cheerful home in the historic market town of Congleton, which is within easy driving distance of Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent and on the main railway line.

The purpose built home has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard to provide a comfortable and homely living experience for older people and people living with dementia who require residential care.

Park Lane is a real home from home, offering well-appointed rooms, enviable living space and features beloved of the residents including the new Park Inn bar, park and pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, and attractive outdoor areas and gardens, with an accessible garden currently being created. The bedrooms are spacious and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to make them as homely as possible, which helps them to feel settled.

It also has a new feature ‘Park Inn Bar’, with a small beer garden as well as its own pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, both of which residents love.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious home cooked food to tempt even the most discerning appetite. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their meal in the dining room, taking their time, while socialising and making new friends.

The well-being of residents is important and the home has a varied entertainment programme which takes into account the like and dislikes of residents and their different levels of abilities. Activities include arts and craft sessions, music afternoons, craft, trips out as visiting professional entertainers.

Mum has been with the wonderful team at Park Lane for over two years. We cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond to care for mum as if she was part of their family. As mum's dementia has deteriorated they have adjusted her care so well and whilst she is not able to participate in the excellent
daily activities as much any more the fabulous lady always makes sure mum is included in everything from crafting to painting. The team even do her hair and paint her nails, as she was always proud to be well turned out. I've heard so many terrible stories about care homes from friends but we cannot fault the managers and the wonderful team at Park Lane. There seems to be no staff turnover and everyone is so welcoming and friendly when we visit and proactively keep us informed of mum's care needs. The home itself is bright, modern and fresh and mum's bedroom is like a home from home which is so important. Cannot thank them all enough.

Mum has been a resident for over 6 months now and has settled in extremely well due to the excellent care she receives. Without exception, all staff are friendly, thoughtful, and above all, caring. They treat Mum like their own mother or grandma!
The home is spotlessly clean and always smells nice.
The food is good and varied and there are daily activities and frequent outings.
Mum has difficulty talking but since entering the home, her speech has improved and her overall health, cognition and motivation has too. Her character has returned.
Thank you to all for the wonderful attention you give to Mum. I'm grateful you were able to take her at such short notice and pleased she has settled in so well.

I can't thank Park Lane Residential enough for the outstanding care they provide to my Nanna. The staff are incredibly kind, professional, and truly go above and beyond for their residents.

It is amazing to be able to sleep at night knowing that my Mum in Law is safe. The home is spotless, the staff and management are amazing people. The rooms are clean and tidy. Activities are available seven days a week. It's lovely to get a phone calls off Mum saying how happy she is and loves living

Mum has been a resident for a few years now, the care is excellent and has never changed. The home itself is spotlessly clean and the rooms are the same. The staff are welcoming and amazing the same as the manager and deputy manager. The food is excellent with amazing chefs.
I couldn't think of a
better place for Mum to be looked after and cared for like she was a part of every staff members family.

Park Lane was the first choice of three homes assessed independently by me and my daughter for my wife who suffers from dementia. Having moved her into there in February, we are delighed with our choice. Most importantly, my wife has settled quickly and is content with her situation which has assured
us that we made the right choice for her. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and the home has a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The level of care provided is high and carers and management are quick to inform me of aspects of my wife's care and to seek my agreement where changes are proposed. There are additional activities both in groups and at a personal level as necessary to add stimulation for residents. We have also been allowed to personalise my wife's room with reminders of her family life to make it feel more homely. Even our 5 year old Grandson said that it was a nice hotel on a recent visit. Thanks to all for helping us through this difficult decision.

My 93 year old Mother has been a resident at Park Lane care home since November 2022.
Park Lane is such a lovely residential care home, relatively small and has a very homely atmosphere.
ALL of the staff are amazing, they do such a wonderful job of taking care of all the residents.
My Mum is so
well looked after, the home is immaculate, the chef bakes all the residents a beautiful birthday cake on their birthdays, it was Mums 93rd birthday last week and she had a lovely day and was presented with a gorgeous birthday cake, candles to blow out after everybody sang to her!
It gives me peace of mind knowing that my Mum is being so well looked after and that she is happy and very content!
The home does activities with the residents, recreation, baking, entertainment. A marvellous place for a loved one to be in! I can highly recommend Park Lane. The carers treat the residents with dignity and respect, they all do such a wonderful job and I can't thank them enough!

My mother has been a resident of Park Lane Residential Home for over three years. Throughout this time she has been cared for with kindness, thoughtfulness and sensitivity. On my visits to see her I am always impressed by the way the carers deal with residents who are upset or exhibiting challenging
behaviour. In fact I often find myself remarking to friends that I don't know how they stay so calm!
The staff are always welcoming and friendly. If there is a need to inform me about any personal issues they will contact me right away rather than wait for my next visit.
My mother recently reached her 100th birthday. I cannot emphasise enough how helpful the activity organiser and manager were in planning and even organising her birthday celebrations. A day my family will never forget. Even going as far as encouraging others to send cards in order that my mother had over a hundred on the day. The home also provided cakes, sweets and drinks for the children.

My Nana lives at Park Lane. She has been there for a while and I visit her a lot. This week we came in with my little puppy for Dog Day, not only did Nana sit with him but I went round to see all the other residents and they had a cuddle with him. Everyone who works there is ace! They look after my

This is a beautiful care home, with excellent nurses and carers, and service users treated with respect and dignity. Amazing staff all work together in teamwork. Management is amazing, very caring and loving to service users and staff, they are always willing to muck in with any tasks. The cleaners
do an amazing job too. The activities lady is excellent, always smiling and the activities are amazing with service users. The kitchen staff are amazing, the food is amazing and very good service. An amazing care home. If my mum had to go into a care home I would pick Park Lane. Always happy and a smile from staff members.

Great place, nothing but positive things to say about Park Lane, they look after my Nana with dementia. The staff are awesome and very friendly and Nana seems happy 24/7! They're always organising nice events and things for Nana to go to every day, food looks great and haven't seen Nana looking so healthy
in ages! During Covid I was living in Australia, the staff at Park Lane organised video calls all the time and made the distance a lot easier.
Overall, could not recommend them more! Awesome staff and the manager is a legend! Highly recommend!

I had to move my mother from this home as her needs were clearly not being met. Although the facilities and rooms are lovely and clean, some of the staff were inattentive and uncaring. There was also little stimulation (activities etc.) for the residents to participate in. Our overall experience was
therefore poor.

On your mum’s admission, we immediately got other agencies involved and they assessed mum as needing a higher level of care; and this meant a Nursing Placement.
I am sorry to hear this was not the care you expected however we will draw upon your points and look for ways to improve.

My mother-in-law joined Park Lane in December 2021. She had dementia and had recently suffered a stroke. Since then my father-in-law has made daily visits and has been very impressed with the care and attention she received. He is a retired GP so understands how difficult her condition is to deal with.
He recently had an extremely severe chest infection and was declining rapidly. He asked to come to Park Lane and the manager and her staff have turned his health around. He now wishes to remain at Park Lane. He is 95 years old. His wide is 84 years old.

Park Lane is an excellent home. I visit every week and would highly recommend it to anyone.
When you arrive you are always greeted with a smile. All the staff are amazing, they are all so happy, chatty, friendly, and caring. Most importantly the care for each individual is fantastic. Everybody treats
all the residents with respect, dignity, and always given a choice. All the residents are always so happy which makes a very happy home to visit.
The management team are amazing, if you ever need any advice or help this is dealt with straight away and they always make time for you. I always look forward to my weekly visits.

My career in healthcare began in 1989 at the age of 16 on a YTS scheme as well as attending college. By the age of 18, I was given an award for being the youngest manager in Cheshire travelling across the country in a peripatetic role. I have 31 years experience in different areas of care. I joined Kingsley Healthcare almost six years ago and have gained further experience and knowledge within the manager role including achieving my NVQ 4 and 5 in management. I am the manager at Park Lane in Congleton and am proud of my well-established staff team. We have just won an award on Carehome.co.uk for being in the Top 20 in the North West and 1st in the CW12 area.

I started work as a Laundry assistant at Parklane nearly 18 years ago, I have gained skills and knowledge in several different job roles in this time. Over the last 5 years I was given the opportunity to be Head of Care which is a role that works alongside the Manger helping with the day to day running of the home. I joined Park Llane nearly 6 years ago and I have developed myself by obtaining my level 4 in Management and this has enabled me to pass on my knowledge to others. There was a restructure within the home and I was given the opportunity to Take on the role of a senior lead along with another colleague and this role requires us to lead and direct the staff team as well as taking on more responsibilities.

Job Title: Head Housekeeper

I have worked in Park Lane for 22 years, having left school at 16 years ago. I initially worked in the kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. I later moved on to care, undertaking the necessary training to support residents with their personal care.


I have always been flexible to fit in with the needs of the home, and when a position came up in the housekeeping team over 2 years ago, I was happy to step into the role to help. As a result of my role in housekeeping, I have recently been appointed Head Housekeeper.


I love working in Park Lane; no two days are the same, and it is always wonderful to chat with residents and learn about the lives they have led.


In my spare time, I enjoy taking my children to their varied activities as well as socialising and relaxing with friends and family.
