Park Lane is a wonderfully bright and cheerful home in the historic market town of Congleton, which is within easy driving distance of Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent and on the main railway line.

The purpose built home has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard to provide a comfortable and homely living experience for older people and people living with dementia who require residential care.

Park Lane is a real home from home, offering well-appointed rooms, enviable living space and features beloved of the residents including the new Park Inn bar, park and pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, and attractive outdoor areas and gardens, with an accessible garden currently being created. The bedrooms are spacious and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to make them as homely as possible, which helps them to feel settled.

It also has a new feature ‘Park Inn Bar’, with a small beer garden as well as its own pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, both of which residents love.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious home cooked food to tempt even the most discerning appetite. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their meal in the dining room, taking their time, while socialising and making new friends.

The well-being of residents is important and the home has a varied entertainment programme which takes into account the like and dislikes of residents and their different levels of abilities. Activities include arts and craft sessions, music afternoons, craft, trips out as visiting professional entertainers.

Recently my nana enjoyed a short stay in the Congleton area. I travelled to see her regularly and was always welcomed with a warm loving vibe, I would recommend this to any family wanting a family member to go into a care facility.
As they go above and beyond.

Everything was as it should be. All the staff were caring, friendly, and always smiling. It was like home from home. My husband, who was the resident, is a retired physician. He has visited a few care homes as a doctor. Even he is impressed and happy to go for respite, if needed. I am grateful to all
the staff for looking after him so well.

I visited my friend at Park Lane Residential Home this month and I notice such a big difference. She was very clean and smart and very happy. A member of staff came to me and offered me a drink, the home is very clean, with a pleasant and welcoming ora. The manager and all her staff are so hard working
and very friendly. When I arrived there was a group activity going on and the residents were very happy, along with all the staff members involved. It was lovely to see. I would recommend Park Lane to anybody absolutely lovely home.

Supporting mum following her dementia diagnosis and her deteriorating visual impairment as well as helping dad as her primary carer has been a difficult journey for us as a family. However from the day mum walked through the doors of Park Lane Residential Home we've felt reassured. From the staff in
the reception who are always welcoming to the staff in the kitchen (who baked a delicious cake to celebrate our parent's 60th wedding anniversary), the staff who keep her room spotless and the wonderful carers who care for and laugh with mum and encourage her to be the best she can. All of these people have made a difference to us as a family and we are very grateful that mum is being well cared for. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident at Park Lane Care Home for over a year joining in September 2021. She has deteriorating senile dementia. She moved from Scotland where she had many and varied carers coming in and out of her home daily. I looked all around the area to find a home where I felt my mother
would be well looked after and cared for with constant members of staff she would get to know. As soon as I had my introductory tour of Park Lane I felt this to be the right place for her- and I was right! All the staff are friendly and approachable if you have any worries or queries, If they do not have the answers themselves they will find out from another member of staff. Often while visiting I hear carers gently encouraging other residents who have lost their way or just need reassurance. I would definitely recommend this Home.

A brilliant home. The staff are all so lovely, friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. They genuinely care. My mum is very happy here, she's enjoying joining in with the organised activities and I have peace of mind that she is well looked after.

All the contact we've had in the 15 months of mums stay has been excellent. All the staff are always polite, very friendly and thoroughly professional. The management of the home is very much on point, with the manager running a very tight ship. We have always been delighted with the level of care provided
with nothing being too much trouble for the staff. Speaking as a visitor, sadly the home doesn't have much in the way of car parking available with space for about 6 cars. Although this has no reflection on the home or care provided I felt I should mention it. Finally, I feel it is only fair to explain the lower score for the activities. I only scored 4 simply because our mum doesn't participate in too many although I believe there is a good variety offered.

As soon as you walk into the care home you are greeted with a friendly smile from a carer, there's always a nice chat too. The home is always very clean and smells clean too. My mum always looks well cared for and as much as she doesn't know what's going on due to her dementia she always says how well
she is looked after and how great all the carers are. The food always looks appetising with fresh vegetables and my mum says the puddings are delicious - in fact, she's put weight on since being in there. Mum's bedroom is clean and tidy and her toilet is always clean too. The lounge is very comfortable and there's always a carer in there talking to the residents. If you ask a carer for any kind of help they are always extremely willing. The manager is always available if you have any concerns or need some advice and she runs the home brilliantly. We are more than happy with mum being a resident there, we know she is safe, clean, fed with good healthy fresh food and well looked after.

My wife has Alzheimer's which started six or seven years ago. Regrettably, I was unable to continue to care for her at home myself and she has been a resident at Park Lane Residential Home for the last nine months. At first, she was proving difficult and anxious, but due to the patience and dementia
expertise of the staff and carers at Park Lane, my wife has settled in at the home really well and I and my sons now look now forward to our twice-weekly visits. Everyone working at the home is friendly and always helpful and will take time to discuss my wife's care. She enjoys the musical activities and will dance and sing along. I and my sons feel my wife, their mum, is in the best possible care home being looked after expertly, efficiently and most importantly caringly.

After our father died in April, he was my mother's main carer as she has dementia, both my sister and I had wanted to keep our mum at home for as long as possible but we were unable to sustain this. Our mother's condition was deteriorating with no stimulation at home. My mum became a respite resident
almost 3 weeks ago and the staff have been lovely. The manager has made the transition go very smoothly. She seems to have settled in well which has been a massive relief. We are now very happy in the knowledge that she is now in a safe and happy environment and being looked after by the excellent staff.

I came into Park Lane for three weeks for respite care. I very much enjoyed my stay I would come back when I need a break again. The manager and staff are excellent and looked after me very well. I was very pleased with my room and enjoyed all the activities.

Mum was welcomed to her home (new) with so much regard for her emotional state after being in/out of hospital/residential care. The Manager and staff are excellent and have done and still doing everything they can for mum/family. We look forward each week to our visit, the team are always happy to talk

Mum has been a resident at Park Lane Care home for the last 6 months. She lives with mixed dementia and is gradually deteriorating. The staff at Park Lane are very knowledgeable in caring for people with dementia and are able to pacify mum when she becomes anxious and keep her mentally stimulated to
prevent anxiety.
The staff are very caring and fun, mum enjoys her life.
With Covid restrictions, visiting has been difficult but the staff are happy to relay how mum has been with complete honesty which gives you confidence that she is being cared for well.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a dementia-friendly home it has exceeded my expectations.

Park Lane is a very caring and friendly home. The rooms are lovely, food is excellent. A new chef had joined the team and the meals are 5* he made a beautiful cake for my mother-in-law's birthday. My mother-in-law is very settled and my husband and I are very lucky that she is in such a lovely and safe
place and is looked after very well. The staff go above and beyond and their commitment towards the residents is second to none, especially through the covid outbreak to keep them safe was just fantastic. You can ask any question and nothing is ever too much trouble. Before the outbreak, I was asked to stay for lunch with my mother-in-law which was lovely. Park Lane is one big happy family.

After visiting my friend at Park Lane Residential Home, I find that the Manager and Deputy Manager go above and beyond to help in any way that they can. The staff all work extremely hard and are always happy which has a positive effect on the residents. They are like one big family, nothing is ever
too much trouble. The home is always spotlessly clean. There is a wide range of freshly cooked homemade meals served every day. Since the start of the pandemic, visiting became very hard but I always knew that my friend was in a safe place, and was cared for every day. Skype calls were arranged so I could still see and talk to my friend whenever I wanted, and the Manager was always available if I had any questions. Overall, I have seen a massive improvement in my friend's health since being at Park Lane Residential Home and I wouldn't want them to be anywhere else. The Home Manager and her team should be very proud of themselves for all the hard work and dedication, especially during these uncertain times.

Mum started a new chapter of her life at Park Lane in October 2019 and whilst she resisted for quite some time to have help or consider a move, she settled in straight away. From our first steps through the door, on what was a particularly stressful day, we were immediately put at ease by the staff.
Everything is bright and welcoming and we were immediately made to feel part of one big very happy family. We can't fault a thing and we can rest easy at night knowing Mum is not only well cared for but she is happy. Whilst it has been difficult to visit during the present situation we have regular updates with the Manager and staff and from the photos, they have sent we can see a change in Mum. A sparkle that had once gone from her eyes has now returned. Mum's room is lovely and the whole place is spotlessly clean. There is always something going on so never a minute to feel lonely. All in all, a wonderful place and it's all down to the wonderful Manager and her staff.

It is so very reassuring to know that my mother is in such safe hands. She is quite at home and is safe and happy. The home is always spotlessly clean and mum is always well dressed with her hair neat and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful and made it possible to visit mum once lockdown had eased

My career in healthcare began in 1989 at the age of 16 on a YTS scheme as well as attending college. By the age of 18, I was given an award for being the youngest manager in Cheshire travelling across the country in a peripatetic role. I have 31 years experience in different areas of care. I joined Kingsley Healthcare almost six years ago and have gained further experience and knowledge within the manager role including achieving my NVQ 4 and 5 in management. I am the manager at Park Lane in Congleton and am proud of my well-established staff team. We have just won an award on Carehome.co.uk for being in the Top 20 in the North West and 1st in the CW12 area.

I joined the Park Lane team as the Lifestyle and Activity Co-ordinator in February 2024. Prior to taking up my role, I spent 15 years in education working as a lecturer in a further education college as well as working as a teaching assistant in a special educational needs school.


I am particularly interested in helping and supporting people living with dementia as I have a close family member who suffers from Alzheimer’s so, when this opportunity came up at Park Lane, I jumped at the chance to work in this field.


I love working with the residents; no two days are the same, and it is wonderful to see them enjoying and taking part in meaningful activities to help them lead fulfilled lives.


In my spare time I love going swimming, socializing and enjoying trips to Australia to visit my sons.

Having previously worked for over 14 years as a carer, in the local community, I had always had an interest in painting, decorating and gardening and had become multi-skilled over the years doing odd jobs. I was a foster carer for nearly 20 years and, during that time, fostered some 87 children and adopted two.


I enjoy working at Park Lane, and it is always lovely to have a chat with residents and families throughout the day and, as I have a particular interest in gardens, it has been wonderful to help create a safe outdoor space for residents to enjoy.


In my spare time, I love spending time in my garden, walking the dog and spending time with family and friends.
