My Nana lives at Park Lane. She has been there for a while and I visit her a lot. This week we came in with my little puppy for Dog Day, not only did Nana sit with him but I went round to see all the other residents and they had a cuddle with him. Everyone who works there is ace! They look after my nana and make her happy. Thank you for being there for her.

This is a beautiful care home, with excellent nurses and carers, and service users treated with respect and dignity. Amazing staff all work together in teamwork. Management is amazing, very caring and loving to service users and staff, they are always willing to muck in with any tasks. The cleaners do an amazing job too. The activities lady is excellent, always smiling and the activities are amazing with service users. The kitchen staff are amazing, the food is amazing and very good service. An amazing care home. If my mum had to go into a care home I would pick Park Lane. Always happy and a smile from staff members.

Great place, nothing but positive things to say about Park Lane, they look after my Nana with dementia. The staff are awesome and very friendly and Nana seems happy 24/7! They're always organising nice events and things for Nana to go to every day, food looks great and haven't seen Nana looking so healthy in ages! During Covid I was living in Australia, the staff at Park Lane organised video calls all the time and made the distance a lot easier.

Overall, could not recommend them more! Awesome staff and the manager is a legend! Highly recommend!

I had to move my mother from this home as her needs were clearly not being met. Although the facilities and rooms are lovely and clean, some of the staff were inattentive and uncaring. There was also little stimulation (activities etc.) for the residents to participate in. Our overall experience was therefore poor.

My mother-in-law joined Park Lane in December 2021. She had dementia and had recently suffered a stroke. Since then my father-in-law has made daily visits and has been very impressed with the care and attention she received. He is a retired GP so understands how difficult her condition is to deal with. He recently had an extremely severe chest infection and was declining rapidly. He asked to come to Park Lane and the manager and her staff have turned his health around. He now wishes to remain at Park Lane. He is 95 years old. His wide is 84 years old.

Park Lane is an excellent home. I visit every week and would highly recommend it to anyone.
When you arrive you are always greeted with a smile. All the staff are amazing, they are all so happy, chatty, friendly, and caring. Most importantly the care for each individual is fantastic. Everybody treats all the residents with respect, dignity, and always given a choice. All the residents are always so happy which makes a very happy home to visit.

The management team are amazing, if you ever need any advice or help this is dealt with straight away and they always make time for you. I always look forward to my weekly visits.

I would like to say on behalf of a family member what a fantastic place to stay, the staff are friendly and welcoming with a manager on hand who is caring and looking out for her residents' well-being and making sure they are comfortable and well cared for. The food at the home is first class and my aunt has actually put weight on which is a rarity, the head chef is always on hand to meet any dietary requirements for all the residents, there is always something happening at the home to keep the residents happy and stimulated with the activities. Very much like a 5-star hotel, first class!

Everything was as it should be. All the staff were caring, friendly, and always smiling. It was like home from home. My husband, who was the resident, is a retired physician. He has visited a few care homes as a doctor. Even he is impressed and happy to go for respite, if needed. I am grateful to all the staff for looking after him so well.

Thank you very much.

I visited my friend at Park Lane Residential Home this month and I notice such a big difference. She was very clean and smart and very happy. A member of staff came to me and offered me a drink, the home is very clean, with a pleasant and welcoming ora. The manager and all her staff are so hard working and very friendly. When I arrived there was a group activity going on and the residents were very happy, along with all the staff members involved. It was lovely to see. I would recommend Park Lane to anybody absolutely lovely home.

Supporting mum following her dementia diagnosis and her deteriorating visual impairment as well as helping dad as her primary carer has been a difficult journey for us as a family. However from the day mum walked through the doors of Park Lane Residential Home we've felt reassured. From the staff in the reception who are always welcoming to the staff in the kitchen (who baked a delicious cake to celebrate our parent's 60th wedding anniversary), the staff who keep her room spotless and the wonderful carers who care for and laugh with mum and encourage her to be the best she can. All of these people have made a difference to us as a family and we are very grateful that mum is being well cared for. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident at Park Lane Care Home for over a year joining in September 2021. She has deteriorating senile dementia. She moved from Scotland where she had many and varied carers coming in and out of her home daily. I looked all around the area to find a home where I felt my mother would be well looked after and cared for with constant members of staff she would get to know. As soon as I had my introductory tour of Park Lane I felt this to be the right place for her- and I was right! All the staff are friendly and approachable if you have any worries or queries, If they do not have the answers themselves they will find out from another member of staff. Often while visiting I hear carers gently encouraging other residents who have lost their way or just need reassurance. I would definitely recommend this Home.

All the contact we've had in the 15 months of mums stay has been excellent. All the staff are always polite, very friendly and thoroughly professional. The management of the home is very much on point, with the manager running a very tight ship. We have always been delighted with the level of care provided with nothing being too much trouble for the staff. Speaking as a visitor, sadly the home doesn't have much in the way of car parking available with space for about 6 cars. Although this has no reflection on the home or care provided I felt I should mention it. Finally, I feel it is only fair to explain the lower score for the activities. I only scored 4 simply because our mum doesn't participate in too many although I believe there is a good variety offered.

As soon as you walk into the care home you are greeted with a friendly smile from a carer, there's always a nice chat too. The home is always very clean and smells clean too. My mum always looks well cared for and as much as she doesn't know what's going on due to her dementia she always says how well she is looked after and how great all the carers are. The food always looks appetising with fresh vegetables and my mum says the puddings are delicious - in fact, she's put weight on since being in there. Mum's bedroom is clean and tidy and her toilet is always clean too. The lounge is very comfortable and there's always a carer in there talking to the residents. If you ask a carer for any kind of help they are always extremely willing. The manager is always available if you have any concerns or need some advice and she runs the home brilliantly. We are more than happy with mum being a resident there, we know she is safe, clean, fed with good healthy fresh food and well looked after.

My wife has Alzheimer's which started six or seven years ago. Regrettably, I was unable to continue to care for her at home myself and she has been a resident at Park Lane Residential Home for the last nine months. At first, she was proving difficult and anxious, but due to the patience and dementia expertise of the staff and carers at Park Lane, my wife has settled in at the home really well and I and my sons now look now forward to our twice-weekly visits. Everyone working at the home is friendly and always helpful and will take time to discuss my wife's care. She enjoys the musical activities and will dance and sing along. I and my sons feel my wife, their mum, is in the best possible care home being looked after expertly, efficiently and most importantly caringly.

I have worked in Park Lane for 22 years, having left school at 16 years ago. I initially worked in the kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. I later moved on to care, undertaking the necessary training to support residents with their personal care.

I have always been flexible to fit in with the needs of the home, and when a position came up in the housekeeping team over 2 years ago, I was happy to step into the role to help. As a result of my role in housekeeping, I have recently been appointed Head Housekeeper.

I love working in Park Lane; no two days are the same, and it is always wonderful to chat with residents and learn about the lives they have led.

In my spare time, I enjoy taking my children to their varied activities as well as socialising and relaxing with friends and family.
