Park Lane Care Home is a wonderfully bright and cheerful home in the historic market town of Congleton, which is within easy driving distance of Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent and on the main railway line.

The purpose built home has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard to provide a comfortable and homely living experience for older people and people living with dementia who require residential care.

Park Lane is a real home from home, offering well-appointed rooms, enviable living space and features beloved of the residents including the new Park Inn bar, park and pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, and attractive outdoor areas and gardens, with an accessible garden currently being created. The bedrooms are spacious and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to make them as homely as possible, which helps them to feel settled.

It also has a new feature ‘Park Inn Bar’, with a small beer garden as well as its own pamper hairdressing and beauty salon, both of which residents love.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious home cooked food to tempt even the most discerning appetite. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their meal in the dining room, taking their time, while socialising and making new friends.

The well-being of residents is important and the home has a varied entertainment programme which takes into account the like and dislikes of residents and their different levels of abilities. Activities include arts and craft sessions, music afternoons, craft, trips out as visiting professional entertainers.

I would recommend Park Lane Care Home to anyone who needs a clean, safe and caring environment for a loved one.
My grandma has recently gone into care as she can't cope at home any more.
She settled in almost immediately and has made friends.
I am always hearing about how good the food is and how
fun the girls are.
I feel 100% satisfied that my gran is getting the care and respect she deserves.

The management team and the carers at Park Lane Residential home are doing a wonderful job looking after my friend. She has lots of problems with her dementia. She has become incontinent and aggressive but they have coped brilliantly and treated her with kindness and respect.

Park Lane offers an excellent individual care plan tailored to meet residents' needs in a homely, secure, upbeat atmosphere. Facilities provided include weekly medical check-ups, daily activities both within the home and the outside environment. Also the food is great. Dedicated care - staff ensure
the home is always spotless and residents are treated with dignity, empathy and cheerfulness and encouraged to be as independent as possible. I would highly recommend this home to anybody whose loved one is suffering from dementia.

Due to a bad experience in a previous care home, mum arrived at Park Lane Residential Home to a lovely clean room. The staff who welcomed her immediately made us all at ease. In the 12 months she has been there she is sleeping better and is more settled. All staff seem dedicated to the care of the residents
and this shows. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Up to now, we are more than happy with the care given and would not hesitate to recommend Park Lane Residential Home to others.

The manager and all the staff are very approachable, always there to listen. As my mother has dementia, she makes up a lot of stories which are untrue. The staff always reassure my mother, however, many times she says the same things. The home is very clean. The carers have lots of interesting activities
for my mother to join in with. I feel really settled in my mind that we have made the correct decision ie. my mother becoming a resident here.

The welcome I received at the home was wonderful! The staff clearly love their jobs and have the residents at the heart of everything they do. The manager is extremely pro-active and attentive to everyone's needs. She is very much involved in the activity provision at the home and is keen to drive positive
change forward.
It is wonderful to see such fantastic facilities and it is obvious that there is a real family and homely atmosphere throughout.

Very pleasant surroundings and excellent décor. Staff are all very polite and caring and always seem happy doing their work. My mother is well cared for always clean and tidy. Very helpful staff who always have time to listen, try to understand and act.
They do their best to ensure the comfort of their clients.
The environment of the client is paramount. I have never encountered the smell of urine of faeces within the home.

Mum has been at Park Lane for nearly 8 months now and seems well settled and happy. All the staff are very kind and friendly and go out of their way to make things comfortable for Mum and as easy for me as possible (I live overseas so it is particularly difficult to be so far away from Mum) - I'm able
to Skype which really helps as Mum can't use a phone properly anymore.
Even though I'm on the other side of the world I feel confident that they are keeping a close eye on Mum's state of health and wellbeing which certainly helps to reduce my worries about her!

By the age of 18, I was given an award for being the youngest manager in Cheshire travelling across the country in a peripatetic role. I have 31 years experience in different areas of care. I joined Kingsley Healthcare almost six years ago and have gained further experience and knowledge within the manager role including achieving my NVQ 4 and 5 in management. I am the manager at Park Lane in Congleton and am proud of my well-established staff team. We have just won an award on Carehome.co.uk for being in the Top 20 in the North West and 1st in the CW12 area.

I started work as a Laundry assistant at Parklane nearly 18 years ago, I have gained skills and knowledge in several different job roles in this time. Job Title: Head Housekeeper

I have worked in Park Lane for 22 years, having left school at 16 years ago. I initially worked in the kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. I later moved on to care, undertaking the necessary training to support residents with their personal care.


I have always been flexible to fit in with the needs of the home, and when a position came up in the housekeeping team over 2 years ago, I was happy to step into the role to help. As a result of my role in housekeeping, I have recently been appointed Head Housekeeper.


I love working in Park Lane; no two days are the same, and it is always wonderful to chat with residents and learn about the lives they have led.


In my spare time, I enjoy taking my children to their varied activities as well as socialising and relaxing with friends and family.
