No one wants to go into a care home and no family is wanting this either - however, couldn't have asked for better care, compassion and genuine affection given to my mum during the 2 years she was with Lilac Lodge. Knowing she was safe, had stimulation and trips out when she wanted to was so important.
With at times complete health needs, the staff were always there, kind and professional. There is a real and genuine feeling of extended family - from the management, to house-keeping and kitchen, and nursing - all were valued and brilliant with mum an welcoming to families.

Lilac Lodge staff are always very friendly, kind, helpful and very caring to residents and visitor. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The rooms are always very clean and tidy.

I always find the staff very pleasant and helpful. They manage my husband very well and I do know he can be difficult. He is always kept clean and tidy and speaks very well of the way he is treated by the staff.

My wife who suffers from physical weakness and dementia has now been nearly a year in Lilac Lodge. In the time she has been treated with care and compassion. The staff are lovely from top to bottom and a credit to Kingsley. I can come away from The Lodge knowing my wife is safe, warm and cared for.

I visited my friend's mother today. I have visited her before at other care homes. I thought Lilac Lodge was lovely. It was so light and exceptionally clean, it had no smells and seemed to have plenty of staff who were very friendly and efficient. How nice to see older people in such a caring place.
I'm sure my friend was very pleased to hear her mother was being taken good care of.

Dad came to Lavender Cottage on a week's respite, he went in not really with it and came out a new man, he looked so well for even just having a week of fabulous food, company, really well-looked after, staff were very friendly, could not fault anything.

Lilac Lodge is clean and welcoming. The staff are on the whole caring. One member of staff is especially wonderful and professional, but very caring and went out of his way to ensure Mum settled in her new environment.
The activity staff is amazing in ensuring no one is bored.
The food is incredible
too. Another lady is very caring too.
I have nothing but praise for the staff, who are probably on a low wage but are always smiling and caring. They are a credit to your company. The fact the house is small helps make it more homely.

Excellent care home. Always very clean.
Always plenty of staff around. The entertainment for residents is brilliant, there is always something happening including trips out. My mother who did not want to leave her chair for the last few years, has since living at the care home, been on the back of
a motorbike, on a boat, on a trip to an acquarium, and many other adventures. She is really enjoying life. We are so glad we chose Lilac Lodge.

The care that my dad receives at Lilac Lodge is excellent. All of the staff know Dad as an individual and always strive to meet his needs.
He is always treated with dignity and respect.
Recently, I had a query which I shared with the manager, and it was dealt with immediately, and I received feedback
on what had been put in place for Dad.
I love visiting my dad as I am always made welcome by all of the staff. The home is always clean and has a happy atmosphere.

Zena Stotter

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2015

My career in care started in January 2000 when I started working as a carer and then team leader in a Suffolk County Council Home in Lowestoft. Every day was different and I loved the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of the vulnerable and frail people that I cared for.


I later became the manager of an older person’s rehabilitation unit and I worked in this role for 6 years as part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside, social workers, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. When the funding ended for this service I became the manager of the Wellbeing Centre. This involved providing care and stimulating activities for older people and people with dementia.


In 2015, I started my employment with Kingsley Healthcare as manager of Lilac Lodge and Lavender Cottage.


I am proud to manage the home and the team that I work with. The staff are kind, caring and respectful to all residents. The home has a warm and welcoming feeling that is often commented on by families and visitors.
